Featuring the Society Partners Program
The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Society Partners Program. This program is designed to help firms build and maintain year-round relationships with the influential group of insurance
professionals that are CAS members. Carry out your marketing objectives while developing a unique relationship
with CAS members and the actuarial profession as a whole by participating in the Society Partners Program. In
2016, the CAS is offering new opportunities to market your products and services to CAS members.
Society Partners are firms who demonstrate a commitment to the CAS and its mission by making an annual
pledge to support CAS activities. Society Partners are able to spend the amount pledged on a wide variety of
sponsor, exhibitor, and advertising opportunities throughout the year. In return Society Partners receive benefits
commensurate with their investment level. This program provides year-long exposure and maximum flexibility by
allowing firms to choose from and combine exhibitor and sponsor opportunities to suit their budget and marketing
mix.
As a Society Partner, you will benefit in two ways:
• Partners receive exposure to a focused audience through participation in individual events and activities of their
choosing over a year.
• Partners receive exclusive benefits, including a 20% discount on the regular cost of individual sponsor, exhibitor,
and advertising opportunities.
A Society Partnership runs for 12 months, from October 1 to September 30. To receive the exclusive benefits
of this program, Society Partners must commit to a certain level of support at the beginning of the cycle. Society
Partner’s funds that are not used from 2015-2016 will roll over to the following year, if they rejoin as a partner at the
same annual commitment.

ABOUT THE CAS
The CAS represents the largest concentration of property/casualty actuaries in the world. The nearly 6,800
members of the CAS work for insurance and reinsurance companies and brokers, consulting firms, state insurance departments, educational institutions, and other organizations serving the financial services industry.
About two-thirds of the members are Fellows and one-third are Associates. Many senior actuaries make or
strongly influence purchase decisions for their companies and most CAS members are keenly involved in the
products and services their companies utilize. The nature of actuarial training and education supplies CAS
members with broad expertise in insurance and provides exposure to all areas of the industry. That is why CAS
members have moved beyond purely actuarial positions and hold positions throughout the financial services
industry, including in the executive suites.

SPONSOR THE CAS MEETING
APP AND WIRELESS ACCESS!
Meeting App - The CAS mobile application has been well received at all CAS meetings with an average usage rate
of about 67%! The app provides attendees with a real-time schedule and speaker updates, the most current version
of the list of attendees, maps of the hotel property and meeting space, and more!
The analytical usage reports confirm that the app was widely used at all 2014-2015 CAS meetings. Unique visitors
were close to half of all attendees, and page visits for each visitor were about 15-20.
Your company name and logo will be displayed, and will include a link to direct people to a URL of your choosing.
In 2015-2016 the meeting app will be available at all meetings and seminars and available for sponsorship!
Wireless Access* - The CAS will offer wireless access to meeting attendees at all 2015-2016 meetings and seminars. Attendees will be able to easily access web pages, session notes, and check emails from the meeting space!
The benefits for the sponsor include a splash screen to a url of their choosing; after attendees log in they will be
brought to this page. Sponsors will also be able to customize the wireless password to a short word of their choosing. Sponsors will also get recognition in the onsite brochure, website and meeting app.

Every Wednesday, the CAS sends its e-mail newsletter to more than 8,400 subscribers. The e-newsletter contains
important news and information about CAS activities, with a typical open rate of 35%.

The nature of actuarial training and education gives CAS members broad expertise in insurance and provides exposure to all areas of the industry. Nearly
30 percent of CAS members are senior-level executives, many of whom have
moved beyond purely actuarial positions and hold positions throughout the
financial services industry, including the executive suites. Other CAS members
hold a wide range of actuarial positions.

abriel Ware was new to Munich when he moved there in 2007,
so he was happy to meet up with a fellow CAS member, Jeffrey
Courchene, who had been working in Munich for a while. Courchene gave him advice on getting accustomed to his new environment.
Courchene’s generosity resonated with Ware for a long time, and,
after he earned his FCAS, Ware took on the role of co-chair for the CAS International
Member Services Committee (IMSC). The IMSC sustains and develops connections
among the CAS and its members outside North America, often working with CAS
international Regional Affiliates. The meeting with Courchene inspired the IMSC
to launch an outreach program in 2012, the goal of which is to help CAS members
through the intricacies of new cultures, legal systems, business environments and
societies.
Because of its relationship with CAS international members, the IMSC is in a
unique position to gather ideas and collaborate with other CAS committees. One
example of an IMSC idea taking root was the CAS’s first Webinar on microinsurance.
Through its network, the IMSC learned of the need and proposed the topic to the
CAS Webinar Committee.
The work of the IMSC is just one of several CAS initiatives under way to assist
our growing membership beyond North America. In the following pages, you’ll learn
more about the CAS’s commitment to its members around the world and how the
CAS is truly a global organization. ●
