TV is the main contributor to the popularity of football and has promoted it to the role of leader of sporting events especially in Europe, South and Latin America and lately also in Africa. The timing of matches has been in relation to the seriousness of this game and moved to evening hours, and live transmissions have become the main evening program not only of the sport, but also of many commercial TV stations. Such changes have required an adequate increase in the demand for illumination, which must at the same time reliably fulfill several functions. First and foremost, it must provide perfect light conditions for players, allowing them fully to present their skills. Also referees, spectators and recording equipment have their own specific demands on visibility. And last but not least, the economic demand of illumination must also be considered, with compliance of prescribed parameters, as well as light pollution of the environment, which could cause harm and annoyance to people, if the stadium is located in a residential area. Similar to the rules of the game itself also conditions in which matches are played at individual levels are given by standards and technical criteria of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). Illumination is a demanding project, which can be fully realized only by a modern company, with adequate material background, high-end technology, experts and software abilities to solve given tasks. An offer of complex services of the OMS company meets all terms and conditions of the supreme football organizations and reliably satisfies the needs of every stadium owner. Football Football is today probably the most popular type of sport and entertainment all over the world. Attractive matches or peak continental and world championships are events attracting attention. Basic identification features are • Size of the whole object • Disposition and architectural solution of area for spectators • Needs of TV equipment utilization • Price options of the submitter From this point of view we have classified the illumination projects into groups •TOP •MEDIUM •SMALL The solutions proposed by us fulfil requirements from the training area lighting up to international games shot by HD cameras. Machimálny vrchol svetelného lúča All parts of the construction and all used technologies are certified and comply with stringent technical standards. Construction parameters comply with the recommendations of UEFA and the ≤ 70 ° Smerom requirements of the European Broadcasting Union onto a TV transmission. dolu The height of the pole must be selected in such a way that all parts of the field are illuminated with regard to the number of cameras used. The angle of view in the middle of the field of play measured between the playing area and the floodlight bottom edge must not be lower than 25° and no light can be focused with a deviation exceeding 70° from the vertical axis. Maximaler Gipfel des Lichtstrahls For the sake of good visual conditions for a goalkeeper and a player taking corners, the illumination equipment ≤ 70 ° must be positioned on a 15° zone to both sides of the goal line. In Richtung senkrecht nach unten Peak intensity of the beam ≤ 70 ° Downward vertical Максимальная интенсивность светового луча One of the final phases of the playing field illumination realization is the adjustment of the precise direction of the installed reflectors in such way that their light hits exactly the determined points of the ≤ 70 ° Перпендикулярно projected network. вниз The directional adjustment of individual lights is made by a mechanical aiming device. Preliminary adjustment is made using a protractor scale, attached into the side of the equipment, a telescope, supplied as optional, is used for more precise directional adjustment. El tope máximo del haz luminoso ≤ 70 ° En dirección perpendicular hacia abajo Point maximal du rayon lumineux ≤ 70 ° Verticalement en bas LIGHT POLES The light poles are part of the project delivery and realization of playground illumination. Like other parts of the project, the light poles are also supplied on a “turn-key” basis. By utilization the high end technology OMS is declaring its philosophy of responsibility for the future. The solution with the utilized stages for lighting is OMS designing also in the study of the National Soccer Stadium. The object with the capacity of 22 000 spectators will be build in the capital city of Slovakia in June 2012. Model study for the National football Stadium, BRATISLAVA, SLOVAK REPUBLIC Olympic Stadium, MERIDA, VENEZUELA Roof structure TRIBUNAL During the realization of stadium illumination the tribune roof structure is regularly used. Such positioning allows for a very effective and efficient illumination. Its light does not model hard disturbing shadows and the light conditions are very pleasant also for spectators in the stadium and comply with the requirements of TV equipment. Football as sport as well as a social event constantly grows by its game quality as well as by the number of attendant phenomena. In connection with evening hours when the absolute majority of games takes place also the lighting of the whole area develops. The determination of obligatory illumination values at the same time provides regularity of game conditions. Užitočné svetlo na ihrisku Hranice vlastníctva Rozptýlené svetlo Unikajúce svetlo vytvárajúce žiaru oblohy pre miestne okolie The recommendation of illumination for all UEFA contests defines light conditions specifically for every type of football match. These values represent actual requirements related to the used technology and change is accepted due to technical developments, in accordance with requirements of new incoming technologies. The competition of design and realization companies, along with technical development in the field of illumination technology, produce constantly better illuminated areas. Besides feeling, as an important quality criterion, it is characterized by objectively measurable values, specified on a base of UEFA regulations and recommendations • Intensity illumination • dazzlement • evenness of illumination • Colour temperature •Brauchbares colour rendering Licht auf dem Spielplatz Grenze des Eigentums • light pollution Zerstreutes Licht für die Entweichendes die Leuchtung der Umgebung bildendes Licht örtliche Umgebung Illumination is defined as a quantity of light incident on the surface and it is independent upon its surface and reflective properties. Intensity can be calculated both for the horizontal playing field area and for the inclined plane of a tribune auditorium. Horizontal illumination is functioning as a visual background and allows clear identification of the player and the ball. Vertical illumination provides light in the vicinity of a player. For overall quality of illumination it is important that there is a sufficiently good balance. Glaring is an undesirable effect of stadium illumination. It is caused by a contrast between direct brightness entering the eye and the brightness of the playing surface. Too high a ratio brings visual discomfort. A solution consists especially in the selection of light fixtures of suitable illumination assembly heights and their position. Воздействие Рассеянный свет, рассеянного света вызывающий свечение The light conditions for players, spectators and optical recording systems. Initial values for creates stable visual на близлежащие окружающего стадион Полезныйbalance свет Граница окрестности point, maximum пространстваilluminated point and average value of intensity на футбольном поле of light balance is a minimum владений illuminated the determination of playing field illumination. Colour temperature describe feelings, perceiving several types of lighting as warm ones (red) or cold ones (blue). Colour temperature is indicated in Kelvins. For example the colour temperature of late afternoon daylight ranges around 5 500 K. Colour rendering is an important criterion for providing reliable services to clients, purchasing area for advertisement inside the stadium. It describes the capabilities of a light source to truly reproduce natural colours. The high value contributes to the quality of TV broadcasting, photographic snapshots and perception of trademarks and banners. According to light conditions required for quality TV broadcasting, the illumination systems are categorized into five categories: Matches with TV broadcasting (UEFA) Class V. Class VI. international matches national matches Matches without TV broadcasting Class III. Class II. Class I. national matches league and club matches recreational matches Recommendations for the illumination of stadiums according to UEFA regulations Contest Grade fixed cameras European – final tournament Ev (lux) towards ENG goal area cameras 1400 Ev (lux) towards mobile 1000 Championship – Qualification matches 1400 1000 UEFA – finals 1400 1000 – Matches from rounds 1400 1000 – Qualification rounds 1000 700 UEFA cup – from the 1st round 1200 800 – Qualification rounds 800 500 Intertoto cup European championship – final tournament below 21 – Qualification matches below 19 European below 17 800 500 1400 1000 800 500 800 500 800 500 1000 700 – qualification match 800 500 European women, bellow 19 800 500 UEFA Super Cup 1400 1000 Hall contests 1000 700 Europeanwomen – final tournament The required quality of illumination for matches with present TV equipment and for matches without TV broadcasting is diametrically different. The sophisticated solutions of illumination systems allow the utilization of several modes, according to given requirements. By light pollution is an understood influence of stadium illumination to light conditions in its adjacent areas. Useful light on pitch Boundary of property Spill light to local community Upward light creates skyglow Match without TV Match with TV broadcasting In order to provide adequate light intensity for TV camera recording needs, it is necessary to determine and measure the vertical illumination perpendicular to every camera position. Upon utilization mobile cameras at the playing field level is enough to calculate the intensity on four perpendicular planes. The measurement of the illumination level at the playing field area with an installed illumination system is performed by a precisely prescribed procedure, and measured values must comply with prescribed standards for every kind of sport. In practice it is a defined network of control points, lying at ground level for the determination of horizontal intensity, and at a height 1 meter above ground for the determination of vertical intensity. The measurement of playground illumination considers also the geometry of the installed illumination system as well as the type of sport, luminance of used luminaires, precision of measurements and photometric units being determined. The average illumination intensity is a mean value of intensities measured in all control points.
