Tips to Prepare For a Job
Interview
Research the company
This is not an option! It is extremely important to gain basic information
about the company for which you are interviewing. In a study, 47% of
interviewers revealed that they wouldn’t offer the job to a candidate if
they had little knowledge of the company.
Know Yourself


Remember the first impression is the last impression. Demonstrate
your capabilities and qualities and how well you can serve them.
Don't be overconfident and aggressive. Research yourself, ask
yourself what your objectives are, what short-term & long-term goals
you have, know your CV and prepare your answers.
Always Be Confident


No matter how nervous you are, always look confident. Nobody will
want to hire a person who is nervous during the interview, as it
creates an impression of inability of the candidate to handle
workplace situations.
Look into the eyes of the interviewer and respond to questions asked,
as it will make them feel that you are confident about yourself and
your answers.
Body Language


You are noticed in every way and thus the postures and body
language have a significant weightage during interviews.
Do not slouch. Sit straight and make eye contacts during
conversations. Make it a two way conversation by asking questions
and clarifying your doubts (if you have any)
Punctuality Matters


Reach well in time to appear professional. People who arrive late are
often rejected even before they appear for the interview.
Plan your method and route of travel in advance. Also, keep a time
buffer in case of heavy traffic or some other reason. This way you can
reach on time without being stressed.
