Bites, Camera, Action Presents: “The Disaronno Series” At Union
Bites, Camera, Action Presents: “The Disaronno Series” At Union Street Café Back by popular demand, Bites, Camera, Action returns once again to Union Street Café in Southwark. Guests will be made another offer they can’t refuse by taking a seat and literally tasting the action as iconic Italian silver screen classics are shown on the large screen paired with Italian dishes from Head Chef Davide Degiovanni and chased with clever cocktails created by Disaronno – the world’s favourite Italian liqueur. Head ‘downtown’ to Southwark’s modern Italian trattoria for the next screenings in the series, which include two New York-‐based mafia movies (The Godfather, Donnie Brasco) and the Michael Caine caper story classic The Italian Job. Kicking off at 7pm sharp on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, the mob will descend downstairs to Union Street Bar for each screening. Davide Degiovanni will prepare a number of criminally delicious tasting plates, firstly for The Godfather including aged balsamic and Pecorino meatballs, to pair with the feast of on-‐screen action. Watch one of the most iconic gangster films whilst washing down dinner with Italian tipples by Disaronno. Among the creative cocktails will be the Grande Amaro – a refreshing and sweet sipper with Disaronno Amaretto and the floral flavours of lavender, violet and dandelion. Forthcoming screenings in the series will include: 23 & 24 June – The Godfather 21 & 22 July – The Italian Job 18 & 19 August – Donnie Brasco Whether you fancy yourself as a bit of a Don Corleone or you’re just a fiend for Italian cuisine, get a bloomin’ move on! Wise guys won’t want to miss this. Bites, Camera, Action runs on the second last Tuesday and Wednesday of each month throughout the summer (23/24 June; 21/22 July; 18/19 August) and tickets cost £35 per person, which includes admission to the screening three taster dishes and two cocktails. Doors open at 6.30pm. Space is limited, so early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
