This year’s festival is packed with unique events including
entertainment, award-winning authors, workshops, and panels. All
events are hosted by Alvernia at the Reading campus and are free
and open to the public. The festival is part of the countywide
Reading Reads program.

Accomplished Latin and R&B singer, entrepreneur and now writer.
Trace the unique journey of this Lancaster native through her collective poems entitled, Poetry from Within. Her music explores Latin
roots, along with her love of Smooth Jazz, R&B and Dance influences.

Atticus Finch, hero of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird…
what can lawyers today learn from a fictional icon 50 years
later? How are the values, integrity, and morality of Atticus
Finch viewed today? This panel discussion, co-sponsored
by the Berks County Bar Association, will be moderated by
Alvernia Professor MaryBeth DeMeo.

Nov. 14, 3 p.m., Francis Hall Theater
Soprano Janice Chandler Eteme will perform a range of selections.
She has appeared with the world’s top orchestras and is the
opening performance for the Francis Hall Theater and Recital Hall.
