A fresh and life-giving translation
of the Gospels that reclaims
them as a radically new way of
imagining human life.
• The first in a four-book series from
New York Times best-selling author
Thomas Moore.
• For people of all spiritual and
philosophical backgrounds.
• Blends scholarship and pastoral guidance
in an accurate and challenging yet
accessible and imaginative translation.
MORE ABOUT THE BOOK
Best-selling author and spiritual innovator Thomas
Moore draws deeply from Greek philosophy, literature
and spirituality to craft an accurate and challenging yet
accessible translation that, free of religious moralism and
dogmatism, is beautifully imaginative and inspirational.
He highlights the Gospels’ teachings on earthly—rather
than otherworldly—living, in which community, compassion, inclusiveness, prayer and healing are key elements.
Rich in both soul and spirit, this extraordinary translation
and commentary is for people who want to nourish their
spiritual lives with expansive inspiration rather than narrow and negative interpretations.

life—here’s a tool that
shows how to use it to grow
spiritually, emotionally
and psychologically.
NEW
5
• For anyone who wants to transform
stress from a negative symptom to a
potentially positive force for change.
• Approaches stress as an opportunity
to deepen self-awareness, form richer
relationships and find spiritual vitality.
MORE ABOUT THE BOOK
Drawing on their professional and personal experiences as
well as insights from psychology, neuroscience, theology
and spirituality, George Faller and Rev. Heather Wright help
readers understand and navigate stress in their lives with
more authenticity. With up-to-date analysis, real-life examples and spiritual practices, they explore the effects and
benefits of stress and ways to honor its symptoms. They
show readers that rather than being trapped in the limited
perspective of distress, they can use stress as a catalyst for
transformation in all areas of life, including in marriage, relationships, parenting, sex, work, money and health.

One thing almost everyone
shares is a passion for the
Golden Rule. Another thing
almost everyone shares is a
tendency to ignore it.
7
• Invites readers into the fascinating
world of ethical decision making and
compassionate cooperation.
• Written for people of all faiths or none
who praise the Golden Rule and yet
violate it over and over again.
• Looks critically at the Rule in the context of game theory to see where it
works and where it doesn’t, when it is
applicable and when it isn’t.
MORE ABOUT THE BOOK
People play two kinds of “games.” In finite zero-sum
games, like football, the goal is to defeat your opponent within the fixed timeframe of the game. In infinite
nonzero games, such as a loving friendship, the goal is
to keep the game going by continually enhancing the
status of all players so they will want to continue the
game. In finite games, there are clear winners and losers; in infinite games—the most important games of
life, relationships—everybody wins. This book is for
people who want to play more infinite games and it
presents the Golden Rule as the ultimate strategy for
playing well.

MORE ABOUT THE BOOK
Everyone has experienced losses that profoundly shape
them, changing how they see themselves and the world
around them—from the death of a beloved family member to losing a job, home, friendship or physical or mental
abilities. It is essential to heal and move forward—but also
to honor what has been lost.
“As an expression of the soul, grief has its own
purposes and timing.... You can let grief work for
you by responding to it imaginatively.... Grief may
feel overwhelming, but that is only because it is time
for you to expand your heart and make it capable of
far more love and connection. In this way, grief is a
pathway to a more soul-centered life.“

semester or quarter taught.
Upon request, we email review copies of books in PDF format for course adoption consideration. We believe that our prices for books suitable for course adoption are reasonable;
therefore, we do not provide complimentary paper review copies. However, if a book is purchased from SkyLight Paths Publishing and then adopted for a course, upon request we will
refund the full purchase price.
