Skiers, boarders and snow tube enthusiasts enjoy fifteen trails, three quad lifts and three lanes of tubing. Boler boasts Ontario’s most sophisticated snow making offering first class snow conditions throughout the season with a record 110 days of winter fun last season. One hundred experienced and dedicated ski and board instructors offer their solid commitment to skill development at all levels. Snow school lessons provide the foundation for lifelong accomplished and talented skiers and boarders. Boler’s terrain park with new and challenging features keeps the riding experience fresh and exciting. Freestyle coaching and the Bag Jump provide opportunities for freestylers to safely push their limits in developing new maneuvers. Creative and dynamic slopes improve balance, agility and control. Boler has an exciting future planned for you and your family with a contemporary fifteen-year strategic plan including expanded beginner facilities, a community chalet, and a fourth ski pod and quad lift. Step one has already been realized with the Treetop Adventure Park’s five courses nestled in the Carolinian forest behind the ski hills. All ages and fitness abilities have enjoyed the seventy-five different features consisting of zip lines, Tarzan swings, pirate nets and hanging logs, suspended up to forty feet over the forest floor. Over 10,000 visitors ‘tree topped’ last season and finished their day whizzing down the dual 1,100 foot zip lines to the chalet. Family groups, corporate team building, and sports teams can customize their own program. Boler Mountain also offers mountain bike and fitness trails. Rent a mountain bike, or bring your own, and enjoy the trails. As a community-based not for profit, Boler Mountain is governed by a 15-member volunteer Board of Directors and, along with the staff of industry experts; this 120-acre recreation facility is conveniently located to welcome you and your family. Conditions of Season Pass A family membership consists of at least two people in an immediate family. Any child on a family membership must be a student attending a full-time day school, college or university and carry a student card. 1. Boler Mountain reserves the right to remove a season pass or lift ticket at their discretion. 3. Each season pass holder is required to sign a RELEASE OF LIABILITY form when their picture is taken. 4. 5. 6. A $20.00 charge will be made for replacement of lost passes. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when replacing a lost pass. Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Lessons are not cancelled except during an electrical storm. Missed lessons are the responsibility of the student, not the Snow School. Beginners are encouraged to attend the first few lessons in order to maintain progression with the class. All Junior Programs meet at the Snow School Bell on the east side of the Columbia chairlift. It is an all-day program that will focus on developing skiing skills in a fun and enjoyable environment. Participants must be 8 - 12 years and be able to ski in control and can sometimes achieve parallel skis on blue terrain. SKI & SNOWBOARD The program will be appropriate for athletes aged 7-14 years. Our primary goal is to introduce Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding in a non-competitive, safe and friendly environment. The Freestyle Program will be an extension of our current learn to ski or snowboard program. Participants will continue to improve and develop skiing and snowboarding fundamentals, while getting an introduction to the freestyle sport. Athletes will develop strength, agility and balance as well as confidence and drive. Athletes should have strong skiing or snowboarding skills. This 8 week program is a competitive team program that includes TEAM opportunities to compete against other teams. Athletes must have a good understanding of basic freestyle skiing or snowboarding skills/drills with a focus to develop park riding skills. The athlete must be willing and prepared to work on and improve Freestyle skills. Fees will include a Bag Jump season pass, competition entry fees, on-hill coaching/instruction at Boler Mountain and competition- day coaching. TERRAIN PARK Helmets are mandatory in the terrain park! Boler Mountain offers a progressive style terrain park system with features varying in ability. The Source For Sports Terrain Park on Rusty’s & Double Dip offers entry level and mid-level boxes, rails and snow features. Every time you use freestyle terrain, make a plan for each feature you want to use. Your speed, approach and take off will directly affect your maneuver and landing. Look before you leap. Scope around the jumps first, not over them. Know landings are clear, and clear yourself out of the landing area. Easy style it. Start small and work your way up. (Inverted aerials not recommended). Adult signature is required for rental to minors (under 18 years old). TRAV LIGHTEL Please bring a valid driver’s license. DO’S AND DON’T’S DO: Arrive 30 minutes before your lesson on weekdays. 45 minutes prior on weekends. DON’T: Wear more than one pair of socks, multiple layers of socks will actually make your feet colder, cause irritation and inhibit the proper boot fit. DO: Have a parent or guardian sign for your rentals on site if you are under 18 years of age. NO EXCEPTIONS! DON’T: Wear pants with a tight cuff under your waterproof snow pants; instead wear something that can be easily pulled out over top of your ski or snowboard boot. The activities include zip lines and treetop challenges such as wobbly bridges, Tarzan swings, pirate nets, ladders and hanging logs, all suspended up to 40 feet in the air! We employ the latest technology to ensure a safe and fun experience for all. Junior, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced & Full Zip Courses A perfect outing for friends, family, corporate team building and sports teams! All trails are marked for direction and difficulty. The Boler Mountain Bike Centre has hosted many local, provincial and national events including Canada Cups, Canada Summer Games, Ontario Cups, Points Races, 12 hour relays and weekly events. FITNESS TRAILS Fitness Trails were added to Boler’s trail network in 2012. The fitness trails are for walking, running and are an excellent training facility for endurance running and challenge races. No dogs please. WEDNESDAY NIGHT RACE SERIES This is a points series, but is open to everyone, with weekly draw prizes. The races run every Wednesday night for 14 weeks. Register between 5:30pm and 6:15pm and the race begins at 6:30pm. The cost is $5.31, plus HST for summer passholders and $9.74, plus HST for non-members.
