Employment and Payroll Ontario Employment: 107,069 jobs Labor Force Population (Inland Empire 1,824,013 Inland Empire Market Place Population over 25 with Bachelor’s Degrees or higher (Inland Empire): 441,491 Ontario has the fastest growing economy in the rapidly expanding Inland Empire. Between 1990 and 2010 the Inland Empire added 1,101,600 jobs for Southern California. The Inland region currently has a population of over 4 million people, which is more than 24 of the 50 states. It expects to add another 2 million people by 2020. 2 LIFESTYLE IN ONTARIO An entrepreneurial community demands a variety of lifestyle choices. Ontario continues to be a place where residents can LIVE, WORK and PLAY. Ontario Town Square at the Euclid Ave District $200 million project, developed by J.H. Snyder encompassing a 12-city-block area that will feature a high quality, pedestrian-oriented development with nearly 800 housing units, including senior housing, and 80,000 square feet of ground floor retail, a community park and restaurants. Companies find that Ontario offers the best combination of highly valued attributes– efficient infrastructure, lower lease rates, modern amenities and a highly skilled workforce. Ontario currently has 98 million square feet of industrial space and there is approximately 667 thousand square feet under development. Ontario’s asking price per square foot of industrial space is $.36 per square foot, compared to $.56 in Orange County and $.45 in Los Angeles County. Ontario offers a wide array of logistics advantages: the Ontario International Airport with its UPS Western Regional Hub, two major interstates and one freeway, two rail lines and a Foreign Trade Zone. Companies such as UPS, Toyota, Crocs, Fender and Uline are just a few examples of companies who have relocated to Ontario for its corporate advantages.
