ReCreation Music Services is a full service music supervision and clearance company with extensive experience in advertising (Motorola, Mitsubishi & Nike), episodic television (MTV, The WB & Fox) and motion picture advertising (30 Days Of Night, Live Free Die Hard & 28 Weeks Later). President and founder
Mark Burgoyne is a skilled music industry veteran with both an appreciation for and deep understanding
of his clients creative and legal/licensing needs. Currently ReCreation Music Services is the official music clearance vendor for all of DirecTv’s network promotions.
In 1995... Mark Burgoyne, founder and president of ReCreation Music Services, first began his odyssey
into the music business as a college music representative for Virgin Records. A few months later, Mark
joined renown San Francisco indie label Om Records in the Marketing and Promotions division and began
working with such luminaries as Cut Chemist, Mark Farina and the legendary Naked Music record label
in addition to maintaining his position at Virgin. A few years later, Mark set up shop in Southern California
and quickly found himself recruited by Los Angeles based Bunim-Murray Productions as Music Supervisor for the highly rated MTV shows “Road Rules” and “The Real World vs. Road Rules Challenge”. As an
extension of his role, Mark also executive produced and provided music supervision for the MTV Road
Rules CD “Don’t Make Me Pull This Thing Over Vol. 1” released by Roadrunner/Island Records. Thanks to
Mark’s contributions, the compilation received critical recognition from SPIN Magazine’s “Top 40 Albums
of the Year for 2002” and was the first and only compilation to ever make the list. Moving on from BunimMurray, Mark began supervising episodic television such as Fox’s “Girls Next Door”, the WB’s “Boardinghouse - North Shore” and several other reality programs for the Spike and Nickelodeon networks.
Spring of 2002... Mark joined Venice based music / sound design
house Machine Head with his with friend and business partner Jason Bentley. While at Machine Head they were responsible for music
supervision, hiring of composers and production as well as brokering
licensing deals for such high-profile clients such as Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Toyota, Heineken, Nike, Kia and Coors. In addition, the two
also negotiated the appearances of Paul Van Dyk, Felix Da Housecat
and DJ Collette for a global Motorola campaign in the summer of Fall
& Winter of 2003. Most recently, Mark was the in house Senior Music Supervisor for Ignition Creative where he enhanced their dynamic
creative team working with all the major studios on theatrical trailers
such as: Transformers, Die Hard 4.0, 28 Weeks Later, Disturbia, Wild
Hogs, Zodiac, Babel, Alpha Dog, Marie Antoinette, Mr. & Mrs. Smith,
Hustle & Flow, Sin City, Get Rich or Die Trying, Corpse Bride, Four
Brothers, Sahara, Transporter 2, Elektra, Hero, The Aviator, Fantastic Four, Spiderman 2, Kill Bill 2, Madagascar and many other motion picture advertising campaigns.
Throughout his years in the industry, Mark has cultivated and maintains strong relationships with LA’s
top composers & libraries as well as all major and many indie record labels & publishers. His tenure
was recognized as a panelist at the 2005 Hollywood Reporter / Billboard Magazine TV & Film Conference
in addition to noteworthy writeups in Flaunt & Billboard magazine among other publications.

In the summer of 2002, Mark and his business partner Jason Bentley joined Venice based
music and sound design house Machine Head. While at Machine Head they were responsible for
supervising, composing & producing music, as well as brokering music licensing deals for such
high-profile clients as: Ubisoft, Pandemic, Panasonic, Toyota, Heineken, Nike, Kia and Coors. Also,
the two negotiated the appearances of artists Paul Van Dyk, Felix Da Housecat and DJ Collette in
the award winning global Motorola “Hello Moto” campaign in the summer of 2003.

Since Fall 2004 was the in-house Senior Music Supervisor at Ignition Creative in Santa Monica
one of the top Trailer Houses (motion picture advertising company) working directly with all the
