COUNTERTRENDS!
MPF GROUP VERSUS CRISIS
The begin of this year was a very
positive one for MPF Group, thanks
also to the inauguration of the first
Zoppini Store in Florence, in the same
place where the Zoppini family started
the whole story, which is meant to be
the new focal point for MPF Group
PR and marketing activities. On the
occasion of St. Valentine’s Day the
first successful event, dedicated
to local press and journalists was
organized. We are glad to observe that
the Zoppini Store project is gaining
more and more popularity worldwide.
After the first “American Dreams”
calendar, MPF Group has produced
the second one, called “Terra libera”,
in the name of a totally committed and
targeted communication. Coherent
with this philosophy, MPF Group has
also decided to give its contribution
to many fundraising events... as
well as with the introduction of the
2009 “Mariage” collection, inspired
by positive and purposeful feelings.
Furthermore, the new entry in the
Company of two Style Directors means
that the Company trusts young talents
and aims at experimentation.

THE FIRST FLAGSHIP STORE
IN FLORENCE
On January 15th 2009, MPF Group S.p.A. has
celebrated the opening of its first flagship store in
Florence, birthplace of the Zoppini brand. The Zoppini
Store reaches the highest expression of its concept,
following the previous openings of 35 points of sale
all around the world. It is much more than a simple
store; it deals with an exclusive and multifunctional
place, also by means of a special PR - dedicated area,
the so-called “Le Caveau”. Here will be held cultural
events, food and wine tasting experiences and artistic
previews, in order to involve media and both local and
national press.
On this same occasion, international journalists
and PR have been invited for the Press Day and the
presentation of the inedited pictures of the ZoppiniMaxim calendar.

Zoppini Store has really caught everyone’s eye: local
authorities, affectionate customers, friends and people
passing by have visited the store, also attracted by the
presence of the two beautiful models of the calendar,
Inna Meremerenko and Emanuela Postacchini, and the
Prince consorts, Katia Pedrotti and Ascanio Pacelli. In
the evening a special dinner party was reserved for
some political personalities and vips, like the popular
showman and fashion consultant, Raffaello Tonon.

THE FIRST KIOSK IN KUWAIT CITY
“THE PROOF OF THE PUDDING”
On February 5th , our customer, Mr. Joseph Akelian,
opened the first Zoppini Kiosk at Fanar Mall, in Kuwait
City.
As the owner of the company My fair Lady, he is also
greatly working on the introduction of our brands in
Oman and Bahrein.
During this year, he is planning to open a Zoppini Store
at the Olimpia Mall, a very modern shopping mall, still
under construction.
Zoppini Store is a real increasingly involving reality,
that is able to represent the first access to the MPF
Group world. How? By offering the image of a stable
company, with a heart, well-structured and high
potential, with a wide product range and convenient
and competitive prices!
And the proof of the pudding happened to a couple
of potential customers. After some initial hesitation,
thanks to the perseverance and professionalism of
our salesman, they decided to visit the Zoppini Store
in Florence. Here, they were positively impressed by
the products and promotional material of all the four
brands, as well as by the staff assistance and the
whole Zoppini Store concept.
The business relationship has been so easily
inaugurated and the first purchase order will be
finalized soon!

ZOPPINI - BLACKBERRY
TOGETHER FOR A CHARITY
EVENT
During the Fashion Week in Milan (February 24th
- March 4th ), the Italian Association, “Tesoro nel
campo”, founded by the actor Luca Calvani, very
sensitive towards pro-children projects, organized
a fundraising event. The mission is to support the
maintenance of the orphanage in Timboni, in Kenya.
It deals with a “Charity Temporary Shop”, prepared
in partnership with BlackBerry, where you could buy
branded clothes and accessories, donated by famous
actors, showmen, singers and fashion stylists; like the
Versace suit, wore by Patrick Dempsey in a “Grey’s
Anatomy” episode, the Christian Dior gown, wore by
Jane Alexander at the last Venetian Festival and the
Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses, wore by Alessandro
Gassman.

ZOPPINI - MAXIM...
THE SECOND CALENDAR:
“TERRA LIBERA”!
From March 8th , attached to the magazine “Maxim”,
the 2009 calendar with Salvatore and Cristiano
Angelucci, as exceptional models for the Zoppini
jewels, will be on sale.
The images are by Stefano Bidini and the location
is Casal di Principe, by now, well-known only for
the Italian movie “Gomorra”, which could represent
only the most negative aspects of this place. On
the contrary, like most of the Italian territory, it still
has much more to offer and be discovered. For the
first time, a new different perspective can be shown
through this calendar. Our staff has told us about
the enthusiasm and warm welcome they have been
receiving from local people, during the whole making
of the calendar. The images testify the laboriousness
of this sunny and ambitious people, so anxious to
express their capabilities, but more often depicted
only in dark colors.
After “American Dreams”, it deals with the second
Zoppini-Maxim calendar, aiming at the combination
of a commercial and social activity. After the launch
in Milan, several events around Italy will follow and
the privileged one will be held at the Zoppini Store in
Florence.

On January 22nd 2009, MPF Group
S.p.A. presented the inedited
pictures of the Zoppini-Maxim
calendar at the “Yab” disco, in
Florence. The two beautiful models
of the calendar, Inna Meremerenko
and Emanuela Postacchini, and
the popular showman and fashion

disco is the most popular in the

A luxury cars dealer in Florence has had the brilliant
idea to include in the open space of its store, a “relax
area”, a bar and a restaurant! We have visited the place
and thought that it would be a perfect and original
showcase, especially for those Zoppini collections,
that have been inspired by the world of cars: Race,
Tekno, Wheel…. are on the right track!

was held at the same time

a fashion show. Of course,

Zoppini and Makuti and the
success was granted. We would like to invite you to
give vent to your creativity , as well!
The Vicenza Fair seems to gain more and more
popularity among foreign visitors. Even this year, in
fact, customers from abroad have been more than those
Italian affectionate ones, especially from emerging
countries like Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, etc. In order
to renew and intensify this occasion, immediately
following the last day of the Fair, MPF Group has held
its Press Day for international journalists and PR, at
the new flagship store in Florence. This way it could
present the 2009 Zoppini Ad campaign and offer a
live promotion of the Zoppini store concept, as one of
the main aspects of the Company strategic marketing
plan.

The bride, beautifully
wrapped
in
her
wedding gown, is
about to reach her
groom at the altar. A
ray of light and candor
follows her last steps,
while her heart beating
and her groom’s eyes
are caught in the
flutter of her neverending white train …
still a few meters apart from their unequivocal future,
and their eyes gently melt. When, suddenly, the bride,
instinctively, brings her hand to her neck and a sudden
chill descends over the cold Romanesque little church.
The bride turns her astonished eyes on her mother’s, like
wondering about something. Her mother, speechless
and abruptly, opens her handbag, and, after putting her
hands into it, reassuring eyes her daughter and stands
up. As they get closer, with all her maternal love, she
gives her the beautiful parure “Mariage” by Zoppini: like
the finishing touch of the painter, she completes the
bride’s look, now, calm and happier than ever. Eventually
are the last few steps … her heart is overflowing and her
eyes are joyfully beaded with tears, now that she has
recovered her sense of beauty: the necklace around
her long and slender neck and the earrings, framing
her radiant face... “Mariage” by Zoppini is exactly at the
right time, in the right place, where a Company like MPF
Group wished to be, by means of its stylists’ hard work,
aimed at making eternal this wonderful day...
With the entry of the two Stylist Directors, Mr. Raffaele
Petruzzelli and Mr. Michele Mastrapasqua, both
teachers at the Design European Institute (IED), MPF
Group S.p.A. faces a new challenge. At the same time,
it also aims at discovering and motivating new creative
talents by founding the “Zoppini Design Award”, for
the creation of one male and one female collection,
both in s. steel, 5 pieces each. The three winners will
be given money prizes and above all, the creations
in first place will be produced and launched by MPF
Group in 2010\11.

Wheel marked sporty-styled collection is distinguished
by very clean shapes, grey-colored using PVD
treatment. The more sober version includes a bracelet,

elaborated by means of a lined design and a diamond,
