COIL-FED PUNCHING
& BENDING
PUNCHPRESS &
SERVOBEND SYSTEMS
PunchPress
The RDI Coil-Fed PunchPress is a highly flexible, modular
punching system that uses standard turret tooling. Dramatic
productivity increases can be realized over traditional sheet
fed turret type presses, while reducing material and labor
costs. The PunchPress can also be used to replace the
traditional stamping press for short run flexibility without the
tooling and related costs.
This flexible PunchPress system can be completely
automated for lights out production with available stacking
and material handling equipment. Easily programmed offline
from CAD drawings, the RDI Coil-Fed Punching System
provides dynamic on the fly programming allowing one job to
flow into the next for continuous production. The scrap rate is
greatly reduced when compared to nesting on individual sheets.
The complete line consists of a coil loading station, uncoiler, leveler, a servo
roll feed, and the PunchPress System. Finished parts can be handled in many
different ways, including manual part stacking, gantry robot for pallet stacking,
or six-axis robot cell for advanced packaging requirements.
ServoBend
The RDI ServoBend automated bending line features all servo controlled
bending stations, capable of bending 4 edges simultaneously. Servo
controlled bending is faster, more flexible and cleaner than traditional
hydraulic controlled bending. This ServoBend is a true up/down bending
system, capable of consistently producing complex parts faster than other
bending systems or press brakes.
The RDI ServoBend System can be used on its own, or combined with the
RDI Coil-Fed Laser or RDI PunchPress Systems. Combine these cutting and
bending technologies together to easily do the work of 2-3 turret presses
and 4-6 press brakes using a single operator. Add a stacking system, for the
fastest unattended fabricating system on the market. The result: a dramatic
reduction in the scrap rate, material handling and material costs.
KEY BENEFITS
• Increase Production – Continuously cut parts from coil
• Bend Four Sides Simultaneously – Does the work of 5-6 press brakes
• Reduce Scrap
• Increase Material Savings – Coiled metal is less expensive than sheet
• Reduce Labor – One operator for the entire system
• Finished Parts Handling – A wide variety of stacking and secondary operations available
• Lights Out Operation
Typical punched and/or bent parts, both positive and negative,
can be processed on coil-fed lines.
