Cyprus now offers many options for tying the knot in the sun!
Civil Ceremonies, Anglican or Catholic Church Ceremonies
and Blessings are amongst your choice.
Here we have listed information for you to arrange the ceremony of your choice.
1. Civil Weddings
Civil weddings can be held at the Hotel grounds (indoors or outdoors) or in Pafos
Municipality which is only 10 minutes distance from the hotel (by car).
Legal paper work must be arranged by the couple with the Pafos Municipality.

Regarding your civil marriage in Pafos, you should bring with you the following documents:

Passports
If you possess British nationality and you are a single person, a certificate from a solicitor of your country
confirming that you are free to get married. This certificate is acceptable up to 6 months limit.
If you are divorced you have to bring also with you the original Divorced Certificate which must be final and
absolute. In addition you must have the certificate mentioned in para (b) above.
If you are widow/widower you have to bring with you the original Death Certificate. In addition you must
have the certificate mentioned in para (b) above.
If one of you is under 18 years old you must bring in addition the consent of your father which must be
certified by a solicitor of your country.
Fees for the Special Marriage: €281.92 (Special marriage means marriage within 14 days after the date of
application).
Usual marriage fees: €128.15 (the marriage is celebrated, 16 days after the date of your application).
Nothing can be done in advance. The application is accepted when you are both present. The working days
are Monday to Friday and we can accept applications before 10.00 hrs.
WEDDING CEREMONIES OUTSIDE PAFOS MUNICIPAL HALL

The Municipality undertakes to conduct wedding ceremonies as its discretion in public and private venues,
indoors or outdoors, outside its seat (the Town Hall) but within the boundaries of its jurisdiction.
Each application will be examined on its own merits on the basis of specific criteria (venue, obligations by
the Municipality etc).
The sum of €341.72 shall be paid as compensation for offering this special service. This sum is in addition to
any fees paid for the marriage ceremony, as they apply at any given time.
Preparations for the wedding ceremony and managing problems arising from organizing and seeing the
ceremony through (finding and renting a venue, decoration for the venue, photographs/ video transport of
people etc) shall be the exclusive responsibility of those who apply to be married and /or their
representatives.
The application to conduct a wedding ceremony outside the Town Hall shall be submitted in writing to the
following address at least one month prior to the desired date set for the wedding.

2. Church Weddings
Church weddings can be held in various chapels in Pafos town. The couple should
contact the Anglican church of Pafos in order to arrange the necessary
paperwork.

3. Blessing
A wedding blessing can be arranged in an indoor or outdoor venue on the hotel grounds.
A Minister will be appointed by the hotel, to conduct the Blessing at the fee of €400.00
