I will take a stroll this month by this yard just to smell the blooming gardenia’s set amongst the water feature at the entrance way. March 2011 Yard of the Month belongs to Nickolas and Shahdi Jalilvand, and children Kourosh and Sophia. Kourosh showed me his favorite ‘A Little Plant of Horror’ and explained to me how the leaves caught bugs and such. Such a pleasant street to take a walk; thank you for contributing to the beauty of our Bryan Place neighborhood. M AR C H 2 0 1 1 W W W . B R Y AN P L AC E . O R G M AR C H 2 0 1 1 Dallas Police Report Common Thefts Dial 911 For Emergencies 311 For Everything Else Dallas Police met with Bryan Place Neighborhood Association and stressed the need for residents to always dial 911 in case of an emergency or when you suspect or witness a crime. This call is extremely important to ensure we have the proper amount of officers patrolling our neighborhood. If you feel your call is not being addressed properly they also encourage you to hang up and dial again. For code compliance and non-emergency issues, please dial 311. Most issues are resolved within 48 to 72 hours. Non-emergency calls made to 311 are not taken after 8pm, however the lines are open 24 hours a day. You can also enter a request online at http://311.dallascityhall.com/web_intake/Controller There has been a recent crime spike concerning later model, General Motors (Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac), full sized SUV's being broken into and the third row seat stolen. These seats are easy to remove and quite expensive to replace......ideal target for criminals. The size of the seat makes having another large vehicle to transport it necessary. If you see someone transporting a seat please get a license plate and complete description of the vehicle and the occupants and notify the police Another "seasonal" issue is the security of lawn equipment. Open garages are favorite targets and the noise a mower makes is wonderful cover for a suspect intent on making off with a weed-whacker or chainsaw. Make sure you keep your equipment is secure, especially when working in the yard on the opposite side of your garage entry. Next BPNA Board Monthly Meeting! Monday, April 4 @ 7pm At the BP Pool Clubhouse. Anyone is welcome to attend. Keep In Touch Sign Up For The Bryan Place Neighborhood Blast!
