race will be received only with the understanding and on the agreement of the subscriber that the Rules of Racing govern, and that the following
additional conditions apply:
1.
At the absolute discretion of Woodbine Entertainment Group, the entries of any person (including this entry) or the transfer of any entry
(including this entry) may at any time be refused and/or cancelled without either notice or reason being given and without liability except for the
return of any subscriptions paid on an entry or entries refused and/or cancelled.
2.
Subject to the said Rules of Racing, Woodbine Entertainment Group reserves the right to cancel the race without liability therefore upon
repayment of all subscription fees, if any, paid on such cancelled race.
3.
Woodbine Entertainment Group reserves the right to change the time and/or place of the race in its absolute discretion, subject, however, to the
Rules and Regulations of the Ontario Racing Commission.
4.
It is expressly understood and agreed that the race may, if Woodbine Entertainment Group so determines in its absolute discretion, be conducted
by a Racing Association other than Woodbine Entertainment Group, and Woodbine Entertainment Group shall have the right to assign, and
transfer this entry and all monies paid to it hereunder to such other Racing Association and in such event all obligations, if any, of Woodbine
Entertainment Group shall terminate.
5.
Purse distribution: 50 per cent, 25 per cent, 12 per cent, 8 per cent, 5 per cent, unless otherwise stated in the conditions. Purse distribution for
added money events may be held for a minimum of 15 days.
6.
Woodbine Entertainment Group reserves the right to increase added monies at any time.
7.
All races to be a distance of One Mile (1609 M) unless otherwise stated in the conditions.
8.
If ELEVEN (11) horses or fewer declare to start, there will be no eliminations, and all declared horses will advance directly to the Final.
9.
If TWELVE (12) or more horses declare to start, races will be contested with two or more eliminations. The finalists from the elimination will be
those horses who finish highest in the official order of finish. Horses tied for the last eligible starting position or positions for the final event will
be drawn by lot to constitute a ten-horse field. All horses that qualify will advance directly to the final. If eliminations are used to determine the
finalists, post positions in the final will be determined by an open draw with the exception that the elimination winners, in an order determined by
lot, may choose their post position for the Final. The owner(s), or designated agent, of each winner must select the post position by a time
specified by the Racing Secretary, or that elimination winner will be placed in the open draw with the rest of the Final field.
10. For each series conducted (unless otherwise stated in conditions): the Final event will be limited to ten horses according to the highest money
earnings in the series. All horses must declare in for the Final. If one of the ten highest money winners fails to declare in for the final, the next
highest money winner declared will become eligible to the final. If the number of horses tied in money earnings for the last eligible starting
position increases the field to more than ten horses, they will be drawn by lot to constitute a ten horse field. If enough money winners fail to
declare in for the final, starters in the series that are not money winners and declared for the final may increase the field to ten horses, and such
horses will be drawn by lot. If there is more than one division of the preliminary races, each division will race for 100% of the advertised purse.
If there are more than 4 divisions of a preliminary leg, some divisions may be carried over to the next racing day.
11. One Also Eligible may be carried on the Final Event.
12. **Ontario Sired means bred by a sire that was registered in the Ontario Sires Stakes program in the year of the breeding. **
13. U.S. Funds will be accepted at the fees designated on the stake conditions. U.S. funds will be converted to Canadian funds when deposited to the
bank. U.S. funds will be converted at WEG’s internally published buying rate for US dollars.
14. Woodbine Entertainment Group may require all horses declared to its races to be on the grounds of Woodbine or Mohawk Racetracks up to 48
hours prior to the race in which such horses are to start. These horses may be placed in a retention barn.
15. All post positions will be drawn by lot unless otherwise stated in the conditions.
16. In series races a leg or a race may be cancelled if less than five separate betting interests are declared to start or due to weather or track
conditions. A cancellation of a leg will not affect the running of the remaining legs of the series.
17. All nominated or supplemented horses must be registered as twins that were carried by the natural mother to term, or the only foal of the dam in
any given year, or if produced through embryo/ovum transfer, must be the donor mare’s first born foal in any given year.
18. No Also Eligible will draw in to race after wagering has opened.
19. A breach of any of these General Racing Conditions and/or any applicable racing rules and policies of Woodbine Entertainment Group that are in
effect at the time of racing may result in fines, suspension of privileges, the loss of any or all nomination fees, sustaining fees and/or starting fees,
and/or eviction from the premises of Woodbine Entertainment Group,

STALLION RESTRICTION CONDITION (EXEMPT STALLIONS ARE LISTED AT BOTTOM OF PAGE) THIS CLAUSE WILL AFFECT SIRES DURING THEIR FOUR YEAR OLD YEAR ONLY. IT IS NOT A LIFETIME EXCLUSION. Beginning with the foals of 2014 to be raced as 2YO in 2016 & 3YO in 2017 FOR: Foals of 2014 whose sires were foaled in 2008 or earlier (five‐olds or older in 2013, the year of breeding). Those foals of 2014 sired by Stallions which were foaled in 2009 or later (four‐year‐olds or younger in 2013, the year of the breeding) are NOT ELIGIBLE, unless they meet the one of the following exemptions: (I) The Stallion serviced mares and started a minimum of six (6) times from April 1 forward in its four‐year‐old season (2013), or; (II) The stallion develops a condition while in training that prevents him from racing competitively for the four year old season (see Article VI for conditions) or; (III) The Stallion did not start at least six (6) times in its three‐year‐old season (2012), or; (IV) The Stallion did not start after August 1 of its three‐year‐old season, or; (V) The Stallion did not earn more than $500,000 in its three‐year‐old season (including any foreign earnings as calculated by Standardbred Canada), or; (VI) A licensed veterinarian of the Stallion Owner’s choice (“Owner,” which includes all beneficial owners at the time, as well as lessee(s) or managers) has certified to the Sponsor that in his/her opinion, the Stallion in question would be unfit to race competitively in its four‐year‐old season (2013) due to unsoundness or another serious medical condition. That certification must be in writing and accepted by the Sponsor in writing prior to the Stallion commercially servicing any mares. The Sponsor reserves the right to have the Stallion in question subsequently examined by licensed veterinarians on staff at a university veterinary school in close proximity to the physical location of the Stallion for confirmation or rejection of the prior findings regarding the Stallion’s fitness to race at age four. The confirmation or rejection by the university staff will be accepted as final regarding the eligibility of the progeny of the Stallion in question. The Sponsor shall bear the full expense of the university veterinary school examination of the Stallion and written certification of their opinion of the fitness of the Stallion in question. It is strongly advised that the above written acceptance by the Sponsor be received by the Owner of said Stallion prior to booking any mares to the Stallion in order that the eligibility of the Stallion’s foals is determined for all affected parties. The Owner of the Stallion shall solely be responsible for notifying the Owner(s) of mares booked to breed to the Stallion as to the eligibility, or lack thereof, to any and all stakes affected by the rules herein. Further, the decision of the Sponsor (“Sponsor,” which includes all owner(s) of the Race, any party that adds funds to the Race, the Racetrack where the Race is conducted) on the above shall be final and not subject to appeal. Both the Owner of the nominated foal and the Stallion Owner hereby covenant, agree and affirm that any and all appeal rights in law or equity that the such Owner otherwise may have with respect to the decision of the Sponsor is hereby released, waived and terminated. Both the Owner of the nominated foal and the Stallion Owner hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (each, an “Indemnified Party”) against any loss, damage, expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and court costs) or other liability suffered or incurred by the Indemnified Party (collectively, “Damages”) by reason of, related to, or in connection with the decision of the Sponsor as to the eligibility of any 2‐year‐old to race in 2016 or any 3‐year‐old to race in 2017, including, but not limited to, Damages incurred as a result of a challenge to or appeal of the Sponsor’s decision by any successor or subsequent Owner of the nominated foal, a breeder of the nominated foal, the owner of the sire or dam of the nominated foal or any other party purporting to have an interest in this matter. The Sponsor reserves the right to add to, amend, or delete any of the above language as it deems necessary in its best interest without liability. The age of all nominated foals is subject to Standardbred Canada foaling date rules. The following stallions have been granted a waiver or are exempt by the language of this condition: 2013 Breeding Season – Archangel 2014 Breeding Season – So Surreal & Dontyouforgetit 2015 Breeding Season – Trixton & Western Vintage 2016 Breeding Season – Woodbine Entertainment Group not committed to Stallion Restriction Condition.
