auction. After the silent auction tables close,
an Italian dinner b uffet will be served
followed by a ga me, li ve auction & dessert.

First/ Second Grade Roxab oxen Yard
Art
Take Roxaboxen home. Roxboxen is part of
our hands-on cooperative learning
curriculum in the ! grade. Based on the
book by the same name, it is an experiential
simulation of a community invented by the
students. Communication and problem
solving are key components. Each of these
garden decorations are in the shape of
houses and represent each of the shared
housing groups in this activity.
Third/Fourth Grade
Birdhouse
Every bird will want to live in
this replica of the Orchard
Barn complete with Orchard
animals and circus arts
equipment. Students built
fences, windows, doors, and a
deck and painted the roof,
walls & landscape. They each chose and sculpted an Orchard animal or their
favorite circus arts item. Made from reclaimed Orchard barn wood.

Fifth/Sixth Grade Birdbath
With the help of our pottery teacher,
Linda Ellis, the 5/6 grade made and
painted original designs on ceramic
tiles to decorate this large hanging
birdbath made by the 5/6 class.
Hand painted silk pillows

Fund-a-Need
Every year the Orchard School Staff decides on a school
improvement project they would like to start. In order to
complete these projects, additional funding is requested
from the Orchard Community. The fund-a-need request will
take place during the live auction. Please help us raise a
minimum of $2,500 for the following new & exciting project:
Water Catchment System
We hope to expand our environmental science curriculum
incorporating a gravity fed water Catchment System that
supports the garden in the lengthy, dry coastal months
surrounding summer and grey water needs during power
outages in the stormy winter months. The students would
actively participate in the installation and use of this system
and learn the importance of responsible water use.
