To achieve CSA Certification, Vinylbilt Platinum Series Windows,
are not only tested in a CSA lab, but are subject to random audits
at our manufacturing facility. This ensures that the windows
actually produced use the same production process and the exact
same part specifications as those originally tested. In addition,
Vinylbilt Platinum Series Windows meet or exceed ENERGY
STAR® specifications.

Night latches
Each sash and frame is precision-mitred, and then fusion
welded using extreme heat and pressure. This ensures a
virtually inseparable bond and a square window.
Night latches allow a Slider or Hung window to be partially
opened for ventilation, while providing the added security
of not being able to fully open the window without force.
The latches also act as a child safe feature, preventing the
window from being accidentally opened without disengaging
the latch.

Solid vinyl pull rail provides added strength while giving

the sheets of glass in place. Most commonly though, window

When you look at the total construction
of a window, approximately 75% of the
area is glass. It is important that this
area effectively retains heat inside, while
keeping extreme hot and cold weather

In the winter, you’ll notice Vinylbilt LoE treated windows actually
feel warmer to the touch. This is because they retain more of
your interior heat.
The moisture in a room changes from a vapour to water when
it comes in contact with a colder surface such as a window,
creating condensation. In turn, mould, mildew and other
allergens can develop. Along with being unhealthy to your
family, these growths can cause premature deterioration of
your window finishes.
The LoE coating on our Vinylbilt Windows keeps the interior
temperature of your glass warmer, therefore condensation

ENERGY STAR® Zone
The area within Canada that the window has been rated for testing.
U-Factor
Measures how well a product prevents heat from escaping. The rate of heat loss is indicated in terms of the U-Factor or
U-Value of a window assembly. U-Factor ratings generally fall between 0.20 and 1.20. The lower the number, the better
the performance. The insulating value is indicated by the R-Value.

(Thermal Resistance) – A measure of resistance to heat flow; a higher value indicates a better heat insulating property. The
R-Value of an ordinary single-pane sash with a 15 mph wind on one side is about 0.9, which is the inverse of the U-Factor.
The higher the number, the better the performance.
Solar Heat Gain Co-efficient (SHGC)
Measures how well a product blocks heat caused by sunlight. The SHGC is the fraction of incident solar radiation admitted
through a window, both directly transmitted and absorbed and subsequently released inward. SHGC is expressed as a number
between 0 and 1. The lower a window’s SHGC, the less solar heat is transmitted. The lower the number, the better the performance.
Energy Rating (ER)
An overall measure of the window's energy performance, the higher the number the better the performance.

Vinylbilt warrants that the insulating glass units Super Spacer
contained in the windows fabricated from select A-quality glass,
and that under normal conditions there will not be an obvious
obstruction of vision, which is the result of film formation or dust
collection between the interior glass surfaces, for the life of the
window in accordance with all terms specified in this warranty.
15-Year Warranty on Insulating Glass Greenhouse Windows.
Lifetime Warranty on Hardware
Vinylbilt warrants that the hardware shall remain in good operational condition for the lifetime of the product excluding abuse of
hardware such as over tightening of mechanism which may cause
the roto gear to strip commencing from the date of installation.
Lifetime Warranty on Interior Laminate Finish
Vinylbilt warrants that the vinyl/pvc laminate will not delaminate,
chip, crack or blister during the life of the product.
25 Year Limited Warranty on Patio Door
Vinylbilt warrants the patio door vinyl frame and sash components against blistering and peeling, flaking, and corroding for a
period of twenty-five (25) years. All hardware is warranted
against defects for two (2) years. Insulating glass panels are
warranted against seal failure for ten (10) years. Workmanship
and mini blinds are warranted for a period of five (5) years.
Exterior paint warranted for a period of ten (10) years to remain
Effective Date of Warranty
This warranty will only come into force if and when the customer
forwards to Vinylbilt the Warranty Registration Certificate.
Vinylbilt will only honour warranties for which Vinylbilt has
received said form. To be enforceable said form must be
returned to Vinylbilt within thirty (30) days after installation. For
greater certainty, Vinylbilt’s obligation under this Warranty will
only take effect upon a written confirmation from Vinylbilt of the
receipt by Vinylbilt of the Warranty Registration Certificate.
Customer Warranty Registration Certificate must be received by
Vinylbilt within thirty (30) days. Registration Certificate not
registered within the deadlines set out herein will result in the
termination of the warranty and Vinylbilt’s obligations hereunder.
6. Any defect, malfunction or failure to perform, which has
occurred because of unreasonable use, improper application
or the failure to perform reasonable or necessary maintenance.
7. If products with visible defect(s) after goods have been picked
up or delivered and are installed with such defects, but not
limited to scratches, dents, and cracks and/or damaged
components without notifying Vinylbilt prior to installation.
8. Condensation on windows, which may occur as a natural
result of humidity within the house or building area. Please

Lifetime Warranty on Super Spacer® Insulating Glass
While this Warranty is transferable to future owners of the
property, Vinylbilt’s obligations under the Warranty will only
continue if a written notice of the transfer in ownership is
forwarded to Vinylbilt within thirty (30) days of the new owner
taking possession of the property in question, where the warranted product is installed and acknowledgment receipt has
been issued by Vinylbilt. Should the subsequent owner fail to
notify Vinylbilt of their intention to continue the Warranty, the
Warranty will then expire automatically without the possibility of
revival, on the close of business on the thirtieth (30th) day after
the owner takes ownership of the said property.
4. Minor imperfections in windows and doors that do not affect
the product's structural integrity or obscure vision.

incidental or consequential charges, such as, but not limited to,
labour costs for any purpose, inconvenience, damage or injury to
persons or to property, or any other expense. This Warranty will
be deemed null and void if the owner/purchaser modifies or
otherwise alters in any way the product after installation without
the written consent of Vinylbilt, if the product is used for a
purpose not intended, or otherwise outside the accepted and
advised use and if harmful cleaning solutions and abrasive
compounds are used, as well as any windows manufactured
outside Vinylbilt's manufacturing specifications as specified on
www.vinylbilt.com.
Vinylbilt is responsible solely for the manufactured product.
All Installation related claims should be directed to the
Distributor/Dealer/Installer. Vinylbilt will not be responsible for
claims arising between the Distributor/Dealer/Installer and their
customers. Vinylbilt is a Window Wise Approved manufacturer
and adheres to the Window Wise standards available at

Against any defects in material and workmanship, as specified under this warranty, occurring as a direct result of the manufacturing process, for only
