We manufacture traditional Welsh bedspreads,

Nant Gwrtheyrn
Nant Gwrtheyrn is a Welsh Language Centre,
located in a Victorian quarry village. Learn more
about the history of this unique site in the new
exhibition centre and explore what life was like
for a quarryman’s family in 1910. Enjoy a snack

coastal and woodland walks. The centre offers

Inigo Jones Slateworks
Discover the secret of Welsh slate. Take a self-guided tour which includes a
DVD presentation, MP3 audio commentary and exhibitions on geology,
history, calligraphy and letter cutting. Have a go at calligraphy. Also try

is a children’s quiz with a slate prize. We have a quality slate craft showroom

Gwynedd Museum & Art Gallery
The gallery has an exciting programme of exhibitions by local and
international artists. Changing regularly, the gallery always offers

The Ffestinog & Welsh Highland Railways
The Ffestinog & Welsh Highland Railways are two of the Great Little
Trains of Wales and together offer a wide variety of travel options
through northern Snowdonia. The Ffestiniog runs between Blaenau
Ffestiniog and Porthmadog whilst the Welsh Highland runs
between Caernarfon and Porthmadog where it links with the
Ffestiniog. A wide selection of journeys is available, ranging from a 90
minute return to a full day out. Refreshments are available on most
trains with hot snacks on many Welsh Highland services. Spooner’s cafe/
bar at Porthmadog is open daily for breakfasts, lunches & bar meals.

Mighty Caernarfon is possibly the most famous of Wales’s many
castles. Built by Edward I not only as a military stronghold but also
as a seat of government and royal palace, its majestic walls and

Beaumaris Castle
Beaumaris, the great unfinished masterpiece. Built as one of the “iron
ring” of North Wales castles by Edward I to stamp his authority on the
Welsh, money and supplies ran short before the fortifications reached
their full height. It is still, however, an awesome sight.

Criccieth Castle
