Career Corner: Business Etiquette
Let’s face it, proper behavior
in a business setting can be a
scary topic and if you are in any
position that involves maintaining
business relationships with
others, one important question is
how do you make sure that you
do not say or do the wrong thing?
Here are a few questions to help
guide your good manners.
1. You pass a co-worker in the hallway and he asks “How are
you?” You respond by:
a.Telling him that your back has been hurting you and you
have a cold
b.Saying “Fine, thanks”
c.Explaining that you are tired and stressed out in your job
2. Canadians value closeness and friendliness. It is
appropriate to stand close to a business contact and
frequently touch his/her arm while talking.
a. True b. False
3. You have a meeting with a colleague for 10:00am. You
have been waiting outside the colleague’s office and it is
now 10:05am. You want to make sure the person knows
you are there. You:
a.Peek your head in the doorway and say “Excuse me”
b.Stand near the door where your colleague will see you
c.Continue to sit and wait
d.Enter the office confidently, introduce yourself and
remind them you have a 10:00am meeting
4. After a meeting with a contact, in order to express your
thanks, it is appropriate to:
a. Send him/her a small box of chocolates with a note
b. Drop by the office and give him/her a hot cup of coffee
c. Send a dozen red roses to his/her home
d. Send a thank you letter
5. When meeting a contact of the opposite sex the man
should wait for the woman to initiate the handshake.
a. True b. False
6. When breaking the ice with a contact at the beginning of
a meeting it is appropriate to discuss such things as the
weather, politics and traffic.
a. True b. False
The Key to managing business etiquette issues is to make the
person that you are dealing with feel as if they are the most
important person in the world.

WALK THE TALK
“Take the attitude of a student, never be too
big to ask questions, never know too much to
learn something new.”
- Og (Augustine) Mandino,
Author of The Greatest Salesman in the World.
Entrepreneurial Intelligence: Entrepreneurial Possibilities
When choosing what business
you want to pursue, understand
that there are different kinds of
businesses you can run and a wide
variety of business models that
you should consider. In identifying
the right model for your business,
consider if you want to:
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
Buy a Franchise vs. Joining a Direct Marketing Business vs.
Starting from Scratch
Have a home-based vs. Office-based
Invent something new vs. Produce a product vs. Offer a
service vs. Consult as an Independent Contractor
Make a long term commitment vs. Build a Business to Sell
Be not-for-profit vs. Profit-based
Be online vs. Physical Business (or Both)
Sell your product or service at a physical location vs.
contracting your goods or services out to the Government
2
Other business models consider the size of the business, skills
needed (continuing education) and Urban vs. Rural area.
A good overview of all the kinds of businesses you could start
can be found by looking at how the federal government classifies
businesses. All federal data are now collected using the North
American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) of Businesses.
This system identifies 1170 industries each of which include a
number of specific types of businesses. The 1170 industries are
grouped into general categories: construction, education and
health services, financial activities, government, information,
leisure and hospitality, manufacturing, natural resources and
mining, other services, professional and business services,
transportation and utilities, and wholesale and retail trade.
There is more to deciding on the right business than settling on
the actual product or service you will be producing.

The Harvest Is Yours!
On your way to your harvest, there will always be a Marah.
Why? This is because God wants to see your heart.
Marah occurs to build your faith. In your life, are you going
through a Marah? In contrast to the screaming toddler, you
should see this as an opportunity to give God thanks in the
midst of discouraging circumstances. Hold on, your Elim is
just around the corner.
Like the toddler, the reaction of the carnal man is to always
complain when something goes amiss. In direct
dissimilarity but in line with biblical success, the spiritual man
prays to God. Prayer is very important in this season. There
are four benefits of prayer:
On a busy evening at the local department store, a toddler
enters hand-in-hand with his mother. Immediately, he stops
and points to an intricately designed toy placed on a high
shelf. Eagerly awaiting his mother’s delivery of his muchdesired toy, she simply ignores his request and walks away.
In an unexpected instant, the toddler throws himself to the
ground, kicks, and begins to scream at increasingly alarming
decibels. Much to the dismay of the store owner, a prolonged
tantrum ensues. While other customers are disturbed by the
escalating noise, the mother simply smiles, walks calmly
towards the toddler, carries him on her shoulders and walks
out of the department store.
Today, we may be quick to condemn the toddler for
inappropriate behavior. We would most likely not be as
accommodating as the mother in this short story. However,
many times in our daily lives and walk with God, we act in the
same way as this screaming toddler.
Have you ever asked God for a breakthrough and
complained in response to what seemed to be an ignored
request? If your answer is a ‘yes’ or a ‘maybe’, there is much
work to be done.
In Exodus 15:20-27, the Israelites, upon emancipation from
Egypt, hit a major roadblock in the desert. They walked for
three days and found no water. Like the screaming toddler,
they complained. In verse 23, they found bitter water called
Marah that was unsafe to drink. Again, like the screaming
toddler, they threw tantrums. However, there is a major
turning point in verse 27 when they arrived in Elim with twelve
springs of water and seventy palm trees. Here, the Israelites
camped near refreshing water. What does Elim signify? In
addition to a place of rest and comfort, it is a place of
abundance. The Israelites simply asked for water but God,
true to form, went above and beyond to provide palm trees
for sheltering shade from the harsh rays and intense heat of
the Middle Eastern sun.
You may take a short pause and ask – “How does this apply
to me?”

1. Sensitivity
• Prayer makes you responsive to external stimuli.
• In Acts 10:1-5, Cornelius was sensitive due to his prayer.
• In 1 Kings 18:41-45, Elijah heard the sound of rain as a
direct result of prayer.
- Clearly, there is a reward in fervent prayer. In your daily
life, are you sensitive?
2. Flexibility
• Here, you receive the ability to maximize several
opportunities
• In 2 Kings 5:1-15, we see Naaman, in simple obedience,
becoming flexible to God’s “out-of-the-box” means of
healing.
- In maximizing opportunities, you are aligned for optimal
payout. In your prayer life, are you flexible?
3. Tenacity
• Prayer keeps you going the distance.
• In 1 Samuel 16:1-13, we see the tenacity of Samuel as
he persists on the objective of anointing the chosen King
from the house of Jesse. Despite many unsuccessful
attempts, David finally appears and is anointed king of
Israel.
- The goal here is to never give up. In your prayer life
and study of the Word, are you tenacious?
4. Capacity
• Prayer gives you the power to perform.
• In Acts 13:1-12, we see the increasing capacity and
power of the disciples as they faced opposition from
Elymas, the sorcerer.
- Do you feel worn out quickly in the face of opposition?
Pray today for increased capacity. Receive it today in
Jesus Name!
In life we have two options. We can choose to throw tantrums
like the screaming toddler or pray fervently in commitment to
God for the breakthrough. Indeed, there are undeniable
benefits in prayer. Hold on, your Elim is just around the
corner!

LEGAL CORNER: Fast Track Immigration
There is a relatively new Ontario
immigration program that is targeted
at international students doing their
Masters. It is not cheap but it is fast!
If you graduated or are about to
graduate from a Masters program
from one of Ontario’s publicly
funded universities, Ontario is
offering you the chance to become a permanent resident! No job
offer required. Just graduate and you may be able to apply for
nomination as a permanent resident!
You can apply as an international Masters graduate in
Ontario if you:
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
Intend to live and work in Ontario.
Have graduated from an existing Masters program at an
eligible publicly funded university in Ontario.
Have completed a minimum of one academic year degree
program while studying on a full-time basis.
Apply within two years of the date on which your Masters
degree was granted, or in the alternative, during the last
semester of completing the degree.
Are currently an Ontario resident.
Have legal status in Canada (i.e. study permit, work permit,
temporary resident visa).
Demonstrate high official language proficiency (for English
language proficiency – IELTS – General test with a minimum
score of 7 or higher) (for French language proficiency – TEF
– with a minimum score of 5 or higher).
Demonstrate a minimum level of savings/income to support
yourself and any dependants.
Demonstrate at least one year of residence in Ontario in the
past two years.
What documents are needed?
•
Birth certificate.
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
A valid passport with at least two years validity.
Work permit, study permit, temporary resident visa, and/or
any other Canadian immigration document or entry stamp
you have received.
Copy of each dependant’s passport page which shows his/
her photo and personal information.
A certified true copy of relevant university degree(s) or
official documentation from current university including a
transcript.
A copy of your current resume.
The original score of your IELTS (International English
Language Testing System) – General test with a minimum
score of 7 or higher or TEF (French Certification) – with a
minimum score of 5 or higher (obtained within the last year).
Personal bank statements for the past 6 months.
Proof of residency in Ontario.
How quickly will an application be processed?
This is a pilot project. Current projections are that processing
will be completed within a mere 90 days! Residency track in
90 days! The race may not always be to the swift nor victory
to the strong, but I submit that speed is the only sensible
response for those who qualify. Since assessments are on
a first-come-first-served basis and Ontario’s target is a mere
1,000 nominations for 2010, the time is NOW to submit a well
packaged unstoppable application.
What happens after approval?
A Provincial Nomination Certificate will be issued for all
successful nominees. Successful nominees then apply to
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for permanent
residence. A successful provincial nomination replaces the
selection component under the Federal Skilled Worker Class,
and the Family Class. Provincial nominees will receive
priority processing from CIC. Need I say more?

Divine Inspirat
ion: Rejoice, It Is A New Day!
which is an element of fear. No one looks back and moves
forward at the same time. Your feet and your eyes must be
facing the same direction if you want to experience a new
season. Until you break away from your past, you cannot
enter your future. A step ahead begins with looking ahead
(Isaiah 43:18-19). The past must be allowed to pass away
in order to gain entrance into your new season.
Maintain an attitude of rejoicing constantly
Your altitude is a function of your attitude in life. Everything
around you somehow responds to your attitude. You cannot
see changes in your life in an atmosphere of sorrow.
Change is provoked through an attitude of rejoicing. Your
present challenges cannot be compared to the joy that is
set ahead of you.
The word Rejoice can be divided into ‘Re’ and ‘Joice’.
‘Joice is a variant of joy (Old French, Latin). Therefore,
Re-Joice means to experience joy again; to be full of joy
(joyful) and great joy and in an active sense – to move from
joy to joy.
“When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion around,
they were like those that dream dreams and their mouth
was filled with laughter and their tongue with singing. The
nations said that the Lord has done great things for them
whereof they are glad” (Psalm 126:1-3).
“...The stone which the builders rejected, the same is
become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing,
and it is marvellous in our eyes” (Matthew 21:42-43). The
heathen saw, they said that the Lord has done it. The
Nations recognized the hand of the Lord over your life.
Their mouth declared what they saw. Your rejoicing was
traceable to the hand of the Lord in your life.
The end result of the Lords doing is called marvel. Many
people are saying let us go up to the house of the Lord
because of your testimonies (Isaiah 2:2-4). Zechariah 8:23,
they are grabbing your pant because of the wonder in your
life. The world lacks joy and God has ordained you as a
vessel of rejoicing which they are waiting for.
Luke 16:16, when the Word of God is preached, your
inheritance is shown to you, but it takes a press for you
to enter into season of joy. It takes pressure to get at the
treasure! Nobody can press for another, you press for
yourself.
Below are the things to do to press into your new season of
rejoicing:
Hold on to the Book (Revelation)
Thy Word was found and I ate them and your Word was
to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart (Jeremiah 16:16).
In Luke 14:16-19, the book was handed over to Jesus
when He went to the synagogue. The book (revelation) has
been handed over to you during the Making of Champions
conference and as Jesus acted by searching the book
and located Himself in the book, you need to act on these
revelations which shall be fulfilled in this glorious month of
rejoicing.
Make demands consistently
Life does not yield to you what you deserve but life will
yield to you what you demand! Everything that God has
purposed for you in life already exists in the hands of
somebody, somewhere on earth but you must know that
your inheritance does not change hands without a demand.
If you are just waiting to possess what you deserve in
life, you will end up wasting away. Stop waiting and start
demanding your inheritance.
Walk with the wise
Evil company terminates God’s given destiny. You cannot
walk with the chicken and expect to soar like the eagle.
Your relationships determine your future.
Finally, your night season has ended! It is a new day of
rejoicing, promotion, expansion, increase and progress.
Things are going to happen so fast, your head will spin.
Everything will be happening at once and everywhere you
look there will be blessings. It will be from joy to joy!
Your new days are here!

PRINCESS OF POTENTIAL: MONEY AND WOMEN
How, as a woman, do you manage money?
Women make good budgeters and house accountants.
Women generally are good at allocating funds and
remembering what needs to be paid for
around the house.
looking good. There is a difference between looking
good and spending aimlessly for the urge of having the
latest fashion. Some women tend to shop and almost
shop out of budget.
Another negative is when a woman
decides to have a private stash, money
kept away from her husband. This is
different from saving money and it is very
wrong. Genesis 2:17 says, “They were
both naked and not ashamed”, therefore,
transparency is vital. All monies, earnings
and spending should be known by each
partner.
Women tend to equate care and cash;
therefore, the absence of money is an
issue. If there is no money, a woman
might not feel loved or cared for.
The question is, are you comfortable
with being taken cared of? Today’s
women are torn between two sets of
modern values. On one hand, they do
not want to just be taken care of and as a result, they
take the initiative of pursuing a career and generating
money. On the other hand, they are still expected to
take care of the family needs. So we find that despite
having the same opportunities as men, women
still have a higher hand when it comes to money
management.
The negative aspect with women and money is when
one does not realise that there is more to life than
Most importantly, let us not forget to give
God what belongs to Him. In order to receive our open
heavens, we need to tithe (Malachi 3:10), married or
single.
Last but not the least, saving for tomorrow is wise.
Investing may be hard for some people but one can
never go wrong practising it. Delayed gratification is a
sign of maturity and maturity is one of the vital crowns
of every woman.

Ideas Rule The World
by Rev. Sam Adeyemi
“God put His creativity on display in the story of creation. In the
natural world, things were really bad. But God had an idea. God
constructed what He saw in His mind and it turned out to be very
beautiful.
From that point on, it was man’s business to create and recreate.
The essential message in this book is that we can gain mastery
over life by employing the same process by which God solved the
chaotic problem at the beginning of creation.
You move from failure to success and from lack to abundance by
receiving ideas and by turning those ideas into reality.” The Hope
is that this book will be used by God to turn you into a sign and a
wonder to your world.

KINGDOM SERVICE: Sanctuary Cleaning
Cleanliness impacts every phase of social interaction and
the Sanctuary cleaning department at House of Praise is
set up to maintain a clean and comfortable environment
suitable for the Master’s use. As a department we are
responsible for ensuring that the environment projects total
excellence that the church is known for. As the ancient
proverb goes, ‘’cleanliness is next to godliness’’ and
every team member understands the importance of the
service and are passionate and privileged at serving in this
capacity.
The vision of the sanctuary cleaning department is to
make a difference by providing quality service and making
a lasting impression. We are looking for people who
genuinely love God, His people, His house/church and
demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
If it is not broken, don’t fix it! This expression has been
popularized from the idea that any attempt to improve on a
system that already works well is pointless, and may

MAKING OF CHAMPIONS 2010 HIGHLIGHTS
All in a second, a bright light flashes, the camera
captures the moment of inexplicable joy, of news worthy
achievement, of intense emotion. In these weeks of Making
of Champions 2010, moments have been made, and like
a flashing camera in mind and spirit, we capture insight to
take hold of destiny – our fruitful harvest!
At the genesis of Making of Champions 2010, Dr. Mensa
Otabil shares precious revelation on maximizing the
harvest. In the second week, Dr. Eastwood Anaba teaches
the secret principles of love. Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo
fortifies us with the wealth-creating lifestyle in week
three and Rev. Sam Adeyemi teaches on management
and leadership concepts in the final week of this life
development conference.
WEEK 1
Topic: Unlocking the Champions Code
Teacher: Dr. Mensa Otabil
Text: Revelations 5:1-9
Overview
• There is a mystery of greatness we have to unlock.
Champions are people who identify causes and fight for
what they believe in. They conquer!
• This passage talks about a scroll which represents
revelation of future events and future glory.
• The scroll is one but the seals are seven. God is the
one that gives the scroll out to the right people.
• Only prepared people can have access to God’s
prepared program.
Highlights
• There is a turning point in Revelation 5 when Jesus is
introduced as the only One worthy to open and read the
scroll.
• Although He is introduced as the lion of the tribe of
Judah, he manifests as a lamb with no tribal affiliation.
• There is a striking contrast between the lion and the
lamb:
8
- The lion is built for power and preeminence
while the lamb represents sacrifice, submission
and simplicity.
Application
In our lives, we are to live as lambs among wolves and at
the same time, key into God’s direction which enables us to
prevail as lions. How does this work? Christ first became a
slain lamb on earth before manifesting as a lion to conquer
the devil. In living as a lamb, Jesus shows 3 specific
principles required for total victory:
1. Power of Sacrifice (John 12:24-26)
• Sacrifice must be purposeful.
• Sacrifice will cost us dearly.
• Sacrifice releases abundance.
2. Power of Submission (Luke 22:41-43)
• Accept personal responsibility.
• Seek the will of God.
• Trust in the judgment of God.
3. Simplicity of Life (Matthew 11:29-30)
Developing the power of simplicity requires genuine living
with no pretense where you must:
• Be burdened with God’s burden.
• Learn from Him. Imitate Jesus’ gentleness and humility.
• Live a life with ease and peace.
WEEK 2
Topic: The Portrait of Love
Teacher: Dr. Eastwood Anaba
Text: Isaiah 53:1
Overview
• Love encompasses two concepts – Exchange and
substitution. We see this perfectly displayed in Jesus as
he exchanged His life for our sins and substituted His
death for our opportunity to live.
L I V E S I N S PI R E D FOR E XCELLENCE
house of pr aise, mississauga, canada
MAKING OF CHAMPIONS 2010 HIGHLIGHTS
Highlights
• Love is not self-seeking and does not defend itself
against others.
• We are to love whole-heatedly even in the midst of pain.
Application
In our society of conditional affection, uncertain love and
hidden motives, we are to live in true, agape love. Here,
the rule is simple. You love your neighbor as yourself at
all times, even when it does not feel right. According to Dr.
Eastwood Anaba – if you act right when it does not feel
right, it will soon feel right to act right. Take a moment to
ponder; do you show love to your neighbor when it does
not feel right? In true reflection, we begin to make the
necessary changes in Jesus’ Name.
WEEK 3
Topic: The Release of Destiny
Teacher: Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo
Text: Mark 11:1-9
Overview
• Destiny is an abbreviation for destination.
• For many people, destiny is tied up like that of the
donkey in Mark 11:1-9.
• However, in God, there is certain deliverance.
Highlights
• Many times, life may feel draining when it does not
deliver our expectations.
• The donkey had never been ridden. It was there
wasting away. There were invisible barricades that
made people unaware of the beautiful young colt.
• Every covering cast over you that is blocking you from
being seen by those who should bless you, is torn off
now in Jesus’ Name!
Application
In the same way the donkey that was rejected in the
morning was suddenly selected in the afternoon and
www.houseofpr aise . c a
celebrated in the evening as Jesus’ chosen mode of
entrance, your life will be celebrated. Your responsibility is
to key into the Word for a divine turn-around.
WEEK 4
Topic: Management and Leadership Concepts
Teacher: Rev. Sam Adeyemi
Text: Genesis 42
Overview
• The story of Joseph shows an accurate description of
the benefits of resource management and leadership as
Joseph leads Egypt in the time of famine.
• The value you place on the Word determines the
reward to be received.
• The parable of the talents (Luke 19:12-27) is the
principle of money management.
Highlights
• God is a God of productivity and fruitfulness.
• Resources flow from those who do not manage them
well to those who manage it well.
Application
The underlying precepts to lasting success is simple –
revelation from the Word. In the hustle and bustle of our
increasingly busy lives, it is very easy to miss out on the
key success factor - revelation. However, the consequence
of missing out on revelation is similar to a running on the
treadmill of life without tangible progress towards goal
achievement. Revelation is the currency in heaven that is
then translated to monetary value and other resources here
on earth.
Finally, all in a second, a bright light flashes and the camera
captures the moment. These are just brief highlights of the
key principles taught and experienced during Making of
Champions 2010. Seize the moment and apply them today.
It’s harvest time!

Healthy Living: Benefits of Antioxidants
Antioxidants are substances
that may protect cells from
the damage caused by
unstable molecules known
as free radicals. Free
radicals are by-products of
our normal body functions.
They are constantly formed
and then destroyed by
antioxidants throughout
our life. If for some abnormal reasons, such as smoking,
radiation, pesticides, and pollution, free radicals accumulate
too much, exceeding the ability of our body to fight them,
or we do not have enough antioxidant supply, the extra
free radicals will invade the healthy tissues around them
and attack healthy cells. As a result, our health will suffer
from cancers, cardiovascular diseases, and other health
problems. Examples of antioxidants include vitamins C,
E, and A, and other substances including beta-carotene,
lycopene, glutathione, lutein, selenium and resveratrol.
These antioxidants come into our body from the foods we
eat or beverages we drink and play important roles in our
body.
Antioxidants are good for cardiovascular diseases
Red grapes contain resveratrol and quercetin. These
potent antioxidants boost heart health by acting as freeradical scavengers, reducing platelet aggregation and
helping blood vessels remain open and flexible. Resveratrol
can also protect against cancer and reduce the risk of
inflammatory diseases, gastric ulcers, stroke and even
osteoporosis.
Antioxidants are good for cancer
Artichokes, red cabbage, russet potatoes, beans and
brussel sprouts are some foods that are high in antioxidant
capacity. Broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables like
cabbage, cauliflower and brussel sprouts, can help prevent
cancer and ward off heart disease. Cruciferous vegetables
contain a compound called indole-3-carbinol (I3C - a
potent antioxidant that breaks down estrogen in the body)
that reduces the risk of breast cancer and other estrogensensitive cancers, like cancer of the ovaries and cervix.
Other studies have shown that broccoli can help fight
cervical dysplasia, a precancerous condition. Tomatoes are
one of our favourite foods, and they can ward off certain
kinds of cancer.
Antioxidants are good for gum disease
Research at the School of Dentistry at the University of
Birmingham found that levels of a key antioxidant called
glutathione were much higher in patients who had healthy
gums. Patients with severe gum disease had very low
levels of the chemical.
Antioxidants are good for longevity
Antioxidants prevent macular degeneration and cataracts,
and help maintain mental function as we age. Theoretically,
the damages caused by free radicals are one of the main
reasons of accelerated aging. Antioxidants can kill free
radicals and minimize the damages caused by free radicals.
Therefore, they are beneficial to longevity. Studies have
shown that increasing the amount of antioxidants in the
ones diet can slow the effects of aging.
Antioxidants are good for bone health
Administration of antioxidants might protect bones from
osteoporosis and also might help in the acceleration of
healing of fractured bones.
In summary, antioxidants are good for many aspects of
our health. In order to maintain a healthy living, we need
to consume as many kinds of antioxidant foods as we can.
Include fruits, vegetables, nuts, and the likes in your diet.

Testimonies
I.O
I had the opportunity, by the grace
of God, to come to Canada for my
university studies. It seemed tough,
and I had no immediate relative to
look up to so I turned to God to take
absolute control of everything. I was
directed to House of Praise by a friend and I keyed into
everything that was taught here. In due time, not only did
God place me above all my peers in school but He also
catered to me financially. I give God all the glory cause
only he could cater and provide for me the way He did and
continuously does.
My family has been blessed
beyond measure at the House
of Praise. Testimony upon
testimony but I can only share
a few:
C.A
1. The dreams that have been long forgotten have been
restored with a fresh vision
2. Financial insufficiency has become a thing of the past
3. Dangerous and demonic dreams have been shattered
and from being freighted to sleep to having to sleep like
a baby
4. Multiple streams of income. Imagine people laying
down their established businesses and contracts for
you to enjoy with dignity
U.E
I want to give God the glory for
all he did for me. I did not even
know that I had fibroids 9 cm
in size until the doctor told me
but when I went for the second
check up the results showed that
it had shrank to .5 cm.
This is Gods doing. Praise God
Since I started attending House
of Praise, my spiritual life has
improved. Besides my marital
life has also improved to the
glory of God.
F.A
After five years
of marriage
without a child
the doctors told
me I might not
get any children
because I had
polycystic ovaries. One year after joining House of Praise
and listening to school of fruitfulness I have a wonderful,
beautiful, cute daughter to the glory of God and I have just
started.

REFLECTIONS
WHOSOEVER SHALL SAY!
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I
believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and
therefore speak (2 Corinthians 4:13).
The Church must wake up to the understanding of the authority
we have in Christ.
Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God“. I tell you the
truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into
the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what
he says will happen; it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you,
whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received
it, and it will be yours. Mark 11: 22-24
It is impossible to please God without absolute faith in Him
(Hebrews 11:6). However, Christ wanted you and I not only
to have faith in God but also to believe in what we say as
believers when we pray (the power in your words). God can
do everything, but do YOU believe that YOU can also do
everything, through Christ? Paul said in Philippians 4:13; I
can do all things through Christ which strengthens me and in 2
Corinthians 3:5, that we are not sufficient of ourselves to think
anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God. We are
who we are because of who He is.
In John 14:12-14, Jesus said, I tell you the truth, anyone who
has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even
greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
And I will do whatever you ask in my name… You may ask me
for anything in my name, and I will do it. This is mind blowing!
If we have faith in God, we can do greater works than Jesus
did! Numbers 23:19 makes us to understand that God is not
a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should
change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he
promise and not fulfill?
Like begets like, so a child of God, so you are a god! Jesus,
in John 10:34, said “you are gods”. We are joint heirs with
Christ (Romans 8:17), we have the creative power of God
working in us and sent by Jesus (John 20:21) with the mandate
to exercise dominion and govern the earth.
Have faith in what you say in accordance to the will of God.
God bless you as you speak to that mountain in your life today.
Speak to that situation, sickness and disease; speak to that
pain… for whosoever shall say, shall have whatsoever he says.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by
the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made
of things which do appear (Hebrews 11:3).
God is only obliged to give YOU what YOU say.
YOUR WORDS WOULD FRAME YOUR WORLD.

MAKING OF A CHAMPION
Champions are considered to be people who achieve their
dreams, fulfill their destinies and positively influence their
society. A dream could be defined as an aspiration, fond
hope or wild fancy. Destiny is simply God’s designed and
expected end for your life. Destiny is the terminal bus stop of
a purpose driven life. Being in a position of influence simply
means entering the gate of significance in your society. Your
significance or positive influence is tied to your destiny. In the
place of purpose and destiny, grace is given for significance.
Joseph was a man in the Bible who was a champion of
champions. He achieved his dreams, fulfilled his destiny
and positively influenced his society despite facing myriad
challenges in his life. There are some things he did that
allowed this to be possible:
1. He shared his dream – Contrary to popular belief, Joseph
did not make a mistake by sharing his dream but it was a
divine arrangement of heaven to jumpstart his journey to
destiny. He would not have landed in Egypt if he did not
share his dream with his brothers. To achieve your dreams,
you have to share them. Positive or seemingly negative
actions of people towards your dream will ultimately lead
to the achievement of that dream. Romans 8:29 ‘And
we know that ALL things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are called according to his
purpose’.
2. He was faithful in service to others – Joseph was also
faithful in service to Potiphar to the point that Potiphar
made him the General Manager of his house without
audit. In order to achieve your dreams and fulfill destiny,
whatsoever your hands find to do, do it with all your might
because he that is faithful in little will be made ruler over
much.
3. He interpreted the dreams of others – For your dream
to come alive, you must have invested in the dreams of
others. Joseph helped interpret the dreams of the butler
and the baker despite what looked like the death of his
dreams. He was not bitter about his state but offered to
help. As you sow into the dreams/visions of others, God
will pay back by making sure that your dreams become a
reality. Dream enablers become dream achievers.
4. He remained faithful to God – One profound revelation can
be found in Psalm 37:23 which says ‘The LORD directs
the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their
lives’. That explains why God guaranteed that Samuel
did not pour David’s anointing on any of his brothers.
That explains God’s visitation of Zechariah and Elizabeth.
Joseph honored God by refusing to sleep with Potiphar’s
wife despite the promising outlook of her seduction.
Joseph was in the prison and David was in the bush, yet
their destinies located them by heavenly arrangement.
Righteousness makes God especially interested in your
destiny.

L I V E S I N S PI R E D FOR E XCELLENCE
house of pr aise, mississauga, canada
Words from our future: Hello fear,
Let me start off by saying that I know
you are used to me writing you letters
But this letter is different,
don’t worry it will all make sense at the end
Fear, we started out as distant strangers
But slowly, I let you into my life
And you became my friend
You took the place of hope and faith in my life
My two best friends that you replaced
See, Hope and Faith were there for me through everything
They never let me cry or feel down,
always giving me a reason to smile
But somehow, fear, you became everything
And I found myself fearful of losing everything
So, I let you move in and we began to live together
Always waiting for someone to attack
because that is what you told me
We would spend days with windows closed,
doors locked and the security alarms activated
Little did I know that you were sneaking your friends in
Then I met them, their names were
regret, failure, loss and pain
So I accepted them and we all lived together
Leading mediocre lives everyday
Fear, while with you and your friends
I missed my moments
Forgot about my potential to reign
And began to dwell on what may never be
Then one day I got a phone call from my father,
His name is God
In case I forgot to tell you
But anyways he called to remind me
of my childhood friend hope
And what a great time we had together
Then God put Hope and Faith on the line
And once I heard their voices
I knew it was time for you and your friends to go
So that is why I’m writing you this letter
If only I knew then what I know now
I would have never said hello to you
Instead, when I saw you I should have
picked up the phone and called God
And he would have connected me
directly to my 2 best friends
And they would have told me to fear less,
live more and release timely
Because this stranger, fear, would only
cause me to lose my life in its tight grip
So as I let you go and say goodbye
I am finding my inner strength, bonding with
my best friends and remembering to release the
Potential within my friendship with Hope and Faith.

Young ChAmpions: forgiveness
Sitting all alone in my room at night, thinking of what to write,
then the idea of forgiveness came; immediately I knew there
were a whole lot of people I needed to forgive. It was really
hard for me though, but I came to the realization that if God
could forgive me of all the bad things I did, why shouldn’t I be
able to forgive others.
Therefore, I decided to write this short message on forgiveness
to everyone out there who needs to forgive, it goes like this:
Forgive the sun who did not shine,
The sky had asked her to dine.
Forgive the stars that heard your wish,
The moon prepared their favorite dish.
Forgive the rain for its attack,
The clouds have tears they couldn’t hold back.
Forgive the earth that never turns,
Don’t hate the sun, because too much burns.
Forgive the storm it means no harm,
Could not resist to show its charm.
Forgive the world in which we live,
We will all find peace if we forgive.
