In this group approach to exploring dreams, students will learn to understand deeper aspects of self through appreciation of the images, feelings, and information in the dreams. We will use the Ullman approach to working with dreams, which recognizes that only the dreamer can know the meaning of the dream. Other people in the class will provide their responses to the dream, allowing the dreamer to gain a variety of perspectives about his or her dream. Each week one of the students will bring printed copies of a dream to share with the group. Using the Ullman process, which maintains the authority of the dreamer over the meaning of the dream and the dreamwork process, the class will work with the dream. At the end of the evening, all copies of the dream will be returned to the dreamer. I will provide a short handout that summarizes the stages of the dreamwork process.
