Developing the foot of the slopes and the beginners’ area
for the creation of areas just for beginners or sledging and to replace surface lifts etc.
LE LIORAN (Massif central - France)
The installation of 2 FUNBELT® carpet lifts covered with
FUNVISIO® ALU 300L elliptical galleries means a smoother
passenger flow in the beginners’ area as well as adding to
the equipment and entertainment provided at the resort
such as the summer sledge run the «Déval’luge».

LES SAISIES (Alps - France)
Two FUNBELT® carpet lifts, inside FUNVISIO® ALU 300L
elliptical protective galleries, have been used to redevelop
the foot of the slopes—improving visitor flow and
transportation. They have made it possible to reassign
staff to other activities because the completely automatic
surveillance can be handled by one single person.

CAUTERETS (Pyrenees - France)
In order to enlarge the Beginners’ Area—with more space

been installed in the heart of the Domaine du Lys, one of
which is the longest exterior carpet lift.

The Crest-Voland ski school chose a FUNBELT® carpet lift to
complete its learning zone for small children.

The Piou-Piou village for children aged 3-5 years was fitted with a

to 5). In keeping with ESF colors, the carpet lift is red.

VAL THORENS (Alps - France)
The installation of a dual FUNBELT® carpet lift covered with a
FUNVISIO® protective gallery with an extra large exit to enable
smoother passenger flow. These carpets work in both directions
over a length of 225 m. This is a first in France.

gallery and the special pedestrian safety trapdoor
FUNBELT® is the first brand to offer carpet lifts that are adapted to persons with reduced mobility. We initiated this step proactively,
even though adapting carpet lifts to PRMs is not required by law.
We are also a member of AFNOR and actively participate in regulatory developments for passenger transport with the relevant
French and European authorities.
