Dear Sirs,
I am pleased to provide you with an overview presenting corporate social responsibility activities

For many years, we have been ascribing great importance to CSR issues - we are strongly engaged in
charity, we support many undertakings related to the preservation of historical memory, and we
observe ethical standards, too. We believe that involvement in social projects should be inherent in

Strategy of IDMSA BH’s CSR
Since the launch of its activities, i.e. since 1993, IDMSA Brokerage House (then still under the name
of Krakowski Dom Maklerski S.A.) has been highly engaged in more than just a business aspect of its
operations. As any enterprise, also IDMSA Brokerage House, in its day-to-day activities, functions in a
given system: in the natural environment and in a local community. The Corporate Social
Responsibility concept, which encompasses care for the environment, interests of a local community
and care for employees, has always been a priority for IDMSA Brokerage House.
IDMSA Brokerage House bases its policy on trust, won both across Poland and in its local area, not
only thanks to the high quality of services rendered, but also due to the Company’s involvement in the
life of the local community by means of supporting its cultural activities, providing funds for children
and young people in need and actively supporting public service bodies. Believing in the necessity to
develop science, we provide funds for projects organised by students and doctoral candidates and we
co-operate with academic scientific organisations, thereby contributing to building flocks of young
vibrant scientists.
Strategy of IDMSA BH’s CSR
The CSR strategy pursued by IDMSA Brokerage House is directed both outside and inside of the
Company. The first dimension involves the adopted Environmental Policy together with the
Environment Management System, and the system of rules governing the selection by IDMSA
Brokerage House of its business partners, which consists in taking into consideration the involvement
of any future partners in environmentally friendly and social activities. The second direction points to
the Company itself. It is set by the Ethics Code and Performance Assessment Rules, and is aimed at
stimulating the employees’ development, increasing their commitment to the Company’s activities and
forming harmonious teams, better coping with challenges facing them.
We would like to expressly underline that we perceive actions performed as part of the CSR strategy
and expenses related thereto as investments, rather than costs. Naturally, business decisions
undertaken by our management are always examined in economic terms; nonetheless, we attach
equal importance to social and environmental aspects.
Strategy of IDMSA BH’s CSR
In our activities, we are guided by the principles of transparency, policy of openness as regards our
business partners and of building positive relations with them, in the belief that in such a way we
contribute towards improvement in social governance and forming of good commercial practices.
The CSR strategy of IDMSA Brokerage House follows assumptions providing for the creation of
balance between financial results, and social and environmental costs. The strategy’s objective is the
constant development of the first aspect, combined with the minimisation of the latter. The areas,
where the CSR strategy is implemented, are as follows:
•
responsibly run business,
•
commitment to socially significant issues,
•
high working standards, combined with continued development of employees,
•
supporting broadly understood culture and art,
•
reinforcing and promoting high ethical standards in business and employment,
•
natural environment and its protection,
•
local community.
Strategy of IDMSA BH’s CSR
Acting for the benefit of our stakeholders, we strive to implement innovative management techniques,
thus reducing burden for the nature. It is necessary to preserve balance and not to disturb the
environmental equilibrium. Any office which is reasonably managed and has environmentally
conscious staff translates into the actual reduction of detrimental emissions, contamination produced,
and energy use. Thereby it positively affects the environment. Small decisions concerning recycling,
equipment utilisation, saving water or reducing power consumption have a bearing on the condition of
our surrounding environment.
IMDSA Brokerage House’s employees underlie the Company’s strength. Therefore, we apply particular
care at the recruitment stage so as to ensure that we have chosen the best specialists in their
respective fields. We strive to employ young and energetic people, while concurrently paying
attention to their experience. As part of employment terms, we offer development programmes, such
as for instance courses of foreign languages. We also believe in the power of team work, trying to
build responsible teams, ready to carry out assignments set for them.

Honesty to Partners
 Thanks to activities undertaken in recent years, we were included into the exclusive group
of companies forming the RESPECT Index. The index gathers stock companies acting in
compliance with the best management standards as regards corporate governance,
information governance and relations with investors, as well as those involving
environmental, social and employment issues.
 As a member of the Chamber of Brokerage Houses, we have committed ourselves to
observe standards established by the Brokerage Houses Good Practice Code.
 We have developed our own IDMSA BH’s Code of Ethics, representing our business
credo, and we periodically verify its effectiveness.
20
Honesty to Partners
 Proper communication with the market is an exceptionally important part of a public
company’s activity. We devote particular attention to communication with individual
investors. Therefore, for several years we have been actively participating in the Akcja
Inwestor action co-organised by the Puls Biznesu daily, involving also the Warsaw Stock
Exchange as a partner. In recognition of the fact that we provide timely and elaborated
answers to questions raised by investors, the Puls Biznesu portal honoured us with the
Odpowiada Inwestorom (Responds to Investors) logo.

foundation.
23
Support for the Development of Culture

which took place in October and November 2011 in Brussels and London in connection
with Poland’s presidency in the European Union. The exhibition’s highlights involved
works by Maksymilian Novak-Zempliński, a renowned Polish artist of the young
generation.
24
Support for the Development of Culture

In June 2011, IDMSA Brokerage House, together with the Fundacja Droga Życia (Way of Life)
foundation, organised a unique vernissage of an art exhibition gathering works by
distinguished painters. To honour the occasion, the duet of Ms Anastasia Chernysheva and Mr
Maciej Pajorek gave a piano concert.

Historical memory

IDMSA Brokerage House covers with its patronage a number of cultural and artistic events. Together
with the Warszawskie Stowarzyszenie Rodzina Policyjna1939 r. (The Policy Family 1939 Warsaw
Association) association and the Faculty of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, we
organiseda Polish national competition for a medal – small-scale sculpture “Wdowom Katyńskim”
(For Widows of Katyn). Medals, cast based on the project selected in the competition, were handed
to widows of the Polish army officers and policemen murdered in Katyn, Kharkov and Mednoye, in
a ceremony dedicated to them conducted in the Royal Castle in Warsaw.
27
Historical memory

The concert entitled “Morowe Panny” (Rattling Maidens) is another artistic undertaking organised
under the patronage of IDMSA Brokerage House, this time in co-operation with the Warsaw Rising
Museum. The event, which took place on 19 July 2011, marked the beginning of official celebrations
of the 67th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. Female artists
representing various music genres – from reggae or hip-hop to rock – appeared on stage. The
songs’ lyrics were created based on direct relations of the women who took part in the Warsaw
Uprising. The unusual account of the 1944 events, seen through the eyes of the women fighting to
defend their country, was a very inspiring history lesson.

Care for the Environment
 We monitor our business partners’ activities related to the compliance with the
environment protection requirements which we set for them. Every current and future
IDMSA Brokerage House’s business partner is obliged to pursue the Environmental
Policy, while concurrently having the Environmental System in place, taking into
account the nature of its activities, their scale, type and the extent of its pollution
emissions. With these tools we are able to enforce environmental awareness.

High Working Standards
 Having our employees at heart, we have set up an HR Department whose scope of
duties includes the application of a personnel policy, healthcare and group insurance
related issues, and the organisation of training programmes aimed at the constant
enhancement of qualifications of IDMSA Brokerage House’s staff.
 In 2011, activities undertaken by us with the view to improving working conditions of
young mothers under the strategy “Family-friendly IDMSA Brokerage House”
produced tangible effects. IDMSA Brokerage House was awarded in the fourth edition
of the “Mama w pracy” (Mum at Work) polling organised by the Fundacja Świętego
Mikołaja
(Santa
Clause
Foundation)
foundation,
Rzeczpospolita
daily
and
MillwardBrown SMG/KRC.
32
High Working Standards
 At IDMSA Brokerage House, we care to form a deeper bond between the Company
and an employee. Apart from activities of a general nature, it is also important to see
specific problems of particular individuals in an exceptionally difficult situation. Bearing
this in mind, for five years IDMSA Brokerage House has been supporting treatment and
rehabilitation of its former employee who is under care of Anna Dymna’s Mimo
wszystko (Against the Odds) foundation.
