El Rincon Restaurant impressed by Reliability of DBE EPoS System The Background El Rincon is a renowned Spanish Tapas bar Restaurant in the heart of Manchester, often fully booked three weeks in advance. With such an extensive Tapas menu, manager Nalaka Marasinjhe, felt they needed a system that could cope with all the courses and allow them to view all the tables at any point in the night. El Rincon wanted a reliable system that would not let them down, during busy periods. The Solution DBE installed Casio Touchscreen EPOS Terminals with Orderman Handheld waiter pads, plus printers both in the kitchen and at the 'front of house'. The Handheld units were required because on busy days the tables can be turned five times so speed & efficiency were paramount. With the large amount of dishes going out, the printer at the 'front of house' allowed the manager to know what each table was still waiting for. The Casio Touchscreens were chosen because reliability was very important to such a busy operation, the large clear screen enables the staff to monitor exactly where each customer is up to with their meal, how long they have been sat down, whether they have had their bill, and whether the table is ready to be cleared. This is ideal in such a popular eatery. The large menu was easily handled by the intuitive layout of the screens. The Bar Printers ensure that Rafa knows all drinks that are served are not missed off the bills; it also means that while the waiter is taking the food order, the drinks can be arriving at the table, without the waiter even moving. This gives a great customer service experience. Customer quote Nalaka states “The reliability of the system was paramount to us. We have not had a single fault since the installation and when we do require any assistance DBE have immediately been on hand to help”. Other great benefits includes, orders now being delivered direct to the kitchen from the Orderman and the order time has been reduced from up to five minutes to a few seconds. Nalaka also stated “The system allows us to view the activity of the restaurant at any point, so we can see where the tables are up to during service. This ultimately helps us turn the tables more efficiently.
