# 378 Saint Anselm College Chemistry Club: We Do Our Work Periodically Catherine Muldoon, James Cassidy, Alexandra Scafidi, Charles Dooley, Whitney Moreau, Dr. Nicole Eyet Saint Anselm College, Department of Chemistry, 100 Saint Anselm Drive, Manchester NH 03102 Abstract: The Saint Anselm College Chemistry Club gives students with an interest in chemistry a way to interact within the community, expand their knowledge base, and collaborate with colleagues. The Chapter serves the local community in several ways. The College hosts the NH State Science Olympiad Competition and the Chapter was an integral part of planning and execution of the event. In addition, scientific demonstrations are performed in K-12 classrooms, for faculty’s children, and for students visiting the campus. The ACS Program-in-a-Box and weekly webinars provides our group opportunities to engage in scholarly discussion. The Saint Anselm Chemistry Club offers a means of networking within our faculty, with student organizations with similar interests, and with the larger chemistry community. The club discusses current scientific discoveries and research with faculty at our campus pub, regularly invites the entire community to its events, and attends conferences. This chapter hopes to continue to encourage an interest in science in the broader community and facilitate a professional conversation about chemistry on our campus.
