Influenced by contemporary Mexican murals, the building was given a monumental, multicoloured frieze by Walter Womacka. Historically the building was located in the former Eastern (DDR) part of the city and used to be the meeting place of the communist party. The Congress Hall (now known as the BCC) is striking for its transparency, clear forms and many interesting architectural details. The shiny aluminium dome can be seen from far away. A wide view of the cityscape opens out from the foyer. The combination of the bcc and the neighbouring House of Teachers form a tense architectural ensemble on Alexanderplatz. Since May 8, 2010, the runway tracks have been converted into a park open to the public. The "Tempelhofer Park" covers an area of 300 hectares, making it the largest park in Berlin. Various parts of the building may now be rented for concerts, conferences, dinners, you name it. BERLIN Wasserwerk BERLIN Ewerk Ewerk is a world famous icon and has a special place in Berlin’s history. Built in 1881 the Ewerk-building was the main power plant for the center of Berlin. It was in use until the 70s and after the wall came down it hosted one of the most famous techno clubs. The Ewerk is today a dynamic residential and artistic space. But it is more than that too. It is also a place where events of every description, many of them wild and unorthodox, were held to celebrate the fall of the Berlin wall, and where exciting and innovative events that meet exacting functional and aesthetic standards have been held since the facility was remodeled. For many years now, Ewerk has been one of Berlin’s most prominent venues for top notch, world-class cultural events, and it retains that status today. Hall F: 691.5 m2 Hall C: 622.5 m2 WE LOVE IT BECAUSE: The multiple halls and rooftop terrace allow flexibility for both large and small groups. BERLIN Ewerk BERLIN Museum for Communication The Museum for Communication is located in Berlin’s center, Mitte, the rounded façade lights up the night from inside out. The building dates back to 1898, first opened as the “Reich’s Post Museum.” After renovations following both World Wars, it was reopened in 2000 and is now one of Berlin’s most beautiful museums. The venue is catered by renowned Sarah Wiener, providing excellent dishes served by impeccably trained staff. Maximum capacity: 300 at round tables WE LOVE IT BECAUSE: An interesting venue for up to 250 people, stunning and right in the city center. BERLIN Museum for Communication BERLIN Schlüterhof (in the German Historical Museum) The Zeughaus is located in one of the most representative areas of Berlin close to the legendary „Museumsinsel“ (Museum Island), and to the new government district directly beside the river Spree. On May 28, 1695 the Elector Friedrich III of Brandenburg (who after 1701 called himself King Friedrich I in Prussia), gave the orders to lay the foundation stone of the Berlin “Zeughaus”. By the 18th century the Zeughaus was the largest weapon depot in Brandenburg-Prussia. In 1987 the Federal Republic of Germany turned it into the now world famous German Historical Museum and this location is a very attractive venue for first class events. The Schlüterhof – the oldest and biggest antique courtyard in Berlin – has a beautiful glass ceiling designed by I.M. Pei. At night the glass roof reflects the lightning from inside and turns the inside courtyard to a festive hall. Why this location? Because we love it! It is one of the most impressive venues in Berlin. We have found at previous events that the courtyard makes for a fantastic place to network between guests. This location really speaks to you when you are there so it would be great to show you this during the site inspection. Maximum capacity: 620 seated at oval tables WE LOVE IT BECAUSE: You can have the reception in the modern Pei Bau, then guests go below ground and come up in a beautiful historical covered courtyard. An elegant evening from start to finish.
