Humble Beginning
Shri Ram Kailash Gupta was born in pious family in native village Gonder,
Distt. Karnal, Haryana on Sept 5th, 1952, in a freedom fighter family,
since his childhood days, Sh. Ram Kailash was very lively and good in
studies as well as in games. Educated at Delhi University, Sh. Gupta has
many literary accomplishments to his credit. He has participated in
various social and cultural activities ever since his college days. He
practiced meditation from a very early age and even when he was very
young, he questioned the validity of discrimination based on caste and
religion in his. Sh. Gupta has long experience, spanning over three
decades, in serving the masses of the country. He has been very radical &
logical in his thinking, right from the beginning. Widely traveled, Sh.
Gupta has attended many Conferences/Seminars in India and abroad. He
has also visited various Universities in USA, UK, Belgium, France,
Australia, China, Newzealand, Hongkong, Eastern Continental and other
European countries for lectures, meetings, consultations, and advice. He
has attended and presented papers in several International Conferences.
His visits resulted in successful collaborative arrangements with many
foreign Universities.

Shri Ram Kailash Gupta is a visionary par excellence who, in his pursuit
for social causes, realized that there was an acute shortage of quality
education in general and technical & professional education in particular,
in the country. In spite of having a big business house of his own, he
decided to make his mark in education with selfless service to the
Society. He played a major role in the establishment of many Centers of
Excellence in Professional higher education catering to various
disciplines. These centers offer young men and women the ideal

environment to pursue professional courses and to train youth to
become excellent professional people and exemplary citizens to serve
the society and the nation.

A prominent Educationist
Shri Ram Kailash Gupta is a prominent educationist. It is due to his
untiring efforts that he has started a number of exemplary institutions in
the field of professional and technical education. Sh. Ram Kailash Gupta
realized that there were very few seats available in Delhi for students
desiring advanced studies in the field of management, information
Technology and Journalism. As a result number of talented students
were deprived of technical education in Delhi NCR region and were
forced to move to other states for admission in various professional
courses. To save this national talent he studied no. of options by which
the professional and technical education can be made available to these
aspiring talented students. Sh. Ram Kailash Gupta pursued this cause
with great dedication, commitment and passion with the highest
authorities. With the policy of privatization of professional education in
Delhi and permission was granted to start privately funded technical
Institutions in Delhi. This policy has really changed the life of millions of
students of our country.
In spite of having a big business house of his own, he decided to make his
mark in education with selfless service to the Society. In the begining, he
played a major role in the establishment of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of
Technology, as its founder General Secretary. He continues to be
associated with the same Institute as its Vice-Chairman. Another
contribution by him in his early days was setting up of Agroha Medical
College where he is one of the founder trustees and an Executive

Member on the Advisory Board. This Medical College is rendering
yeoman service to the Society in providing quality education in the field
of Medicine. Besides, he is Senior Vice-President of Shri Maharaja
Agrasen Hospital, set up in North-Ex Pitam Pura at an estimated cost of
Rs. 50 crore. In addition, he is an Executive Member of the Governing
Body of Maharaja Agrasen Hospital in Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi.
Shri Gupta being visionary person who, in his pursuit for social causes,

founded Health & Education Society in the year 1997 under his
Chairmanship. He had the main objective of establishing centers of

Political Transformations and connections
Having completed all his family responsibilities he is free and fully
devoted to various political, social, religious and other organizations. A
liberal minded person and having the inner sense for self-less services
Sh. Ram Kailash Gupta is very much active in the political field since long
time. He is the active member of All India Congress Committee, as well
as Vice-President of Delhi Pradesh Congress
Committee. Considering his affiliation and dedication in the party
activities, the Congress High Command nominated him as Congress Party
Candidate in the Legislative Assembly Election 2008 from Shalimar Bagh
Constituency No.14.
He was in-charge of Shalimar Bagh Constituency for Lok Sabha Election
of 2009 for Shri Kapil Sibal Ji (Former Minister of Science & Technology
and presently Minister of HRD) from Chandni Chowk Parliamentary
Constituency. He himself was given the ticket as Congress candidate to
contest the Assembly election and got tremendous support by getting
about 7000 more votes than his nearest rival candidate. Before 2009
during the last 25 years Congress candidates were loosing by 20,000 to
25,000 votes from this consituancy.
By dint of his hard, sincere, honest, and fully devoted work he is very
close to all the top leaders of Congress Party and enjoys a reasonable say
