Bend Public Schools Foundation ‘Lights, Camera, Auction - Setting the Stage for
Education’ Dinner Auction and Dance. We are excited to share this evening with
family and friends as we continue our commitment to a quality education.
The dinner / auction is an outward sign of our love and commitment to our
children and the West Bend community. When we work together with each other,
we will continue to accomplish great things.
This evening was made possible through the efforts of countless volunteers and
the generous donations of many local merchants, businesses, and individuals. We

Purchase a ‘wine cork’ or two for $10.00 each being sold by our students and visit
the “Wine Cork” table located near the bar in the silent auction area to see what
bottle of wine you have won. Simply provide the bartender with your cork and you
will be shown the selection you have to choose from. Wine bottle values range
from $6.00 to $150.00. If you choose, you can also have the wine bottle opened to
enjoy during the dinner hour.

“Heads ‘n Tails” – Lets Play
Are you in? For $10 you can play the Heads ‘n Tails game following dinner.
Students will come to each table during the dinner service to find out who is in or
out. Simply put your $10/person in the envelope located on each table. Pay your
$10 and you’re in. Our Auctioneer Dan McKee will initiate the fun. You will be
asked to pick Heads or Tails with each flip of the coin. The winner will split 50/50
the monies collected. It’s all about the fun we can have. Thank you for your

Please review this page carefully!
Notes:
 Your table number and bid number will be available the night of the auction
at the Welcome Check-in Table – as you enter on the red carpet.
o To be environmentally friendly, and to cut down our over all cost – the
catalog of items will be available at: www.wbpsfoundation.org.
 Try to arrive early so that you have ample time to browse through all of the lovely
auction items, as well as to mingle and socialize with the other guests.
 Study the catalog available on-line, so you can determine what you want to bid on,
collaborate with friends if you are bidding on larger items, and check dates if you
are bidding on items with date restrictions.
 Items purchased need to be picked up the night of the event.
Silent Auction:
Silent Auction bidding will begin at 4:30 p.m. Each item has a separate bid sheet
that will include a stated minimum bid and a minimum raise. Establish your
bid by writing your name, table number and bid number, and the dollar amount on
the corresponding bid sheet. Be careful! Your bid must equal or exceed the
minimum raise amount on the bid sheet or you may lose the winning bid. Also,
be sure to place your bid on the correct corresponding bid sheet. Bid sheets must
remain on tables at all times!
The Silent Auction will begin to close promptly at 6:45 p.m. The closing bid
highlighted by a committee official shall constitute the winning bid. All questions
of priority and procedure shall be decided by the Cashiering Committee.
Verbal Auction:
The Verbal Auction will begin after dinner. All items will be sold to the highest
bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer. Establish your bid by raising your bid
number until it is recognized by the auctioneer. Be sure to get a close look at all
the Verbal Auction items on display so that you are thoroughly prepared to place
your bids. All questions of priority shall be decided by the auctioneer.

The West Bend Public Schools Foundation and its Auction Committee warrant
neither the quality nor the value of items auctioned. All items are sold in “as is”
condition. Dollar values are estimates often provided by the donor and are not
warranted by the Auction Committee for tax purposes or market value.
Payment:
Successful bidders shall pay the Auction Cashier in full for items won. Preferred
method of payment is cash or checks made payable to “The West Bend Public
Schools Foundation”. These methods save 3% service charge on charge cards.
VISA and Master Card are also accepted. If approved by the cashiering committee,
you may also be directly billed. Items may be removed only after the guest obtains
a paid receipt from the cashier. All sales are final. No returns or refunds.

Your Choice Drawing(s)
‘Your Choice’ Drawing offers you four wonderful items to purchase tickets for and then place those
tickets in the glass drawing bowls of only the gift or gifts that you choose to take a chance on. Your
Choice Drawing tickets are ‘blue’ or ‘red’ and will be sold by our high school youth.
‘Your Choice’ Drawing tickets will be sold during the social reception with one last chance to
purchase tickets after you have been seated for dinner. The cost of the tickets will be $10.00 for your
waist measurements in tickets (we measure only in tickets and we are VERY generous!), OR $20.00
for your height or wing span in tickets (again, we measure only in tickets and we are VERY
generous!). Tickets can be purchased with cash or just give your bid number and you will be billed at
the end of the evening.
The West Bend Public Schools Foundation and its Auction Committee warrant neither the quality nor
the value of items in the drawing. All items are sold in “as is” condition. Dollar values are estimates
often provided by the donor and are not warranted by the Auction Committee for tax purposes or
market value.
