We have been well aware of the controversy surrounding it but felt that it was a rare chance to show a likeable character with an unlikeable habit. Hopefully though, her difficult struggle with this habit has illuminated the problem and maybe even inspired others to look at their own nicotine addictions.” Sarah Jessica Parker Sex and the City Producer Hank Saroyan Directed by Sharon Trojan Hollinger Written by Ed Driscoll Execuitve in Charge of Production Milt Hoffman David Mills, Charles S. PRISM Producer Hank Saroyan “Daytime has a very unique place in the entertainment industry. We are in people’s living rooms five days a week telling stories all year round. I think we have a responsibility to touch on these kinds of subjects. It’s rough doing a storyline like this, but I’m sure it doesn’t compare to what families have to live through with children with fetal alcohol syndrome. If we can touch somebody’s life and make a difference in a child that is born then a good thing has happened.” Peter Reckell Days of Our Lives Kristian Alfonso and Peter Reckell accepting for Days of Our Lives.
