Machine with optional equipment
Big parts need big machines. A simple equation, with an equally simple solution: the EMCOTURN 900 from EMCO. This machine
can manufacture parts of up to 1050 mm in diameter and 5000 mm in length. Fast, efficient, and high-precision, the machine’s solid
design, extremely stable components and tools, and its extensive range of accessories give it the flexibility to adapt to any
machining task.

Chucking shafts between the centers: the use
of a face-driver allows the workpiece to be
machined along its entire length. This ensures
a high degree of precision and
optimal concentricity, even with large cutting
forces.

drill bit used for tunnel and canal construction
works.

Tailstock. Tailstock with very rigid casing clamped hydraulically onto the bed and
positioned via carriage train. The quill position is monitored as standard, and the
extension speed is adjustable. Quill diameter 150 mm, integrated bearing with MT5
mounting.
Tool turret disc. The 12-position tool turret is equipped with a VDI60 quick change system. There are also three positions for block tool holders which allow the best
possible use of large, long boring tools. Six of the nine VDI60 positions are available
for milling operations..
Spindle interior. The powerful main spindle is mounted in backlash-free
bearings and can easily cope with even the heaviest loads, while a pivoting C-axis
ensures maximum precision and accuracy.
Hydraulic unit. Top quality, high performance and easy to use. Proportional valves
are available as an option.
Extensive range
of options for
individual
production setups
Steady rests in various sizes are available for efficient precision
machining, even with very long workpieces. They are
positioned automatically above the carriage and clamped
hydraulically to the bed to ensure hard-wearing performance.
The rollers are covered and special rollers are available for
special applications.
Chip conveyor
Chip conveyor with large coolant volume - easy to remove and clean. The free-standing
cooling unit allows high-pressure pumps, skimmers or other filter systems to be installed.
Air filter
A perfectly-dimensioned air filter with a flow rate of 2000 m3/h is available as an option.
Special chuck
A 1000 mm-diameter chuck is available for flanged or light parts. A selection of chucks in
various dimensions is available for other applications. Swiveling chucks are also available.
Tool presetting
Tools can be easily measured in the machine using tool presetting. The picture shows a
chuck with a diameter of 630 mm.
