AFC SWIMMING FALL/WINTER
SWIM TEAM PROGRAMS
Water Babies
(Ages 6-30 months)
Eight (8) half-hour lessons
Pricing: $125
Simply put…our swim team programs were designed for children who just
love to swim! Our groups consist of everything from beginners trying out the
teamformat for the first time, to summer league swimmers who are gearing
up for the competitive season, even high school athletes competing for their
schools. We feel strongly about creating a place where all children who love
the water feel welcomed.
Water Babies is a water introductory group class for infants and
toddlers ages 6 months to 2.5 years. This is a parent participation
class that o ers a great opportunity for bonding with your child in a
fun and stimulating environment.
Stroke mechanics will be the highlight of our programs. We will also work on
starts and finishes, as well as turns. Our teams are not about endurance and
lap swimming, but rather improving young swimmer’s technique. With
proper mechanics comes speed!
Creative activities, such as songs and games, are used to teach infants
arm movements, leg kicks, and breath control. These movements will
become the cornerstone for swimming lessons as they get older. This
class is held in our warm water therapy pool.
*STEP 1: GROUP/ SESSION OPTIONS
12 children maximum per class. 8-week session with a 9th week for makeup
classes. No other makeups will be available for missed classes.

Why Private Lessons? Private lessons make perfect sense! From children
scared of the water to future Olympians, private lessons can mold your
child into the swimmer that you wan,t and they want themselves to be.
We understand each child learns differently and our instructors will work
with parents to form an effective, fun, and safe learning environment. This
ensures that the expectations of each parent are met and that the child's
goals will be attained.
Semi-Privates
(Ages 6 and up)
Eight (8) half-hour lessons.
Pricing: $125 per student (3 max.)
Students must have similar levels of experience.
*Patrons are responsible for setting up group.
NEW!!! Swim Team Mini-Groups
Eight (8) 45 minute lessons.
Pricing: $125 per student (6 max. per group)
A mini group perfect for swimmers with swim team experience who
might not be able to do a 3-day per week program like AquaSquids.
Each of our Aquasquids swim team coaches will have their own
on-going mini groups that swimmers can join throughout the year.
Stroke mechanics will be the focus of these groups. AFC Swimming
will assign groups or specific coaches can be requested. Please call for
group schedules of our coaches.
We have a place for all team swimmers regardless of age and level. We also
hold different sessions for all of our teams so that swimmers can swim here
when their schedules allow. First, each parent/swimmer should identify what
group they think would be best for them.
Developmental Team (Ages 5-8 years)

18 spots open per group. Pricing: $150 per session .
This group is designed for swimmers who have had swim lessons before but
are new to swimming on a formal team or have not swam all four strokes.
Mechanics for the four basic strokes will be covered as well as the “circle
swimming” format used in team activities. This is a slow-paced, hands-on
team with absolutely no pressure. It is designed for students to learn at their
own pace. Great precursor to AquaSquids Swim team!

Our six week session/3 day per week format not only accommodates
the year round swimmer but also allows the multi-sport child to be in the
pool when their schedules allow. New for this year: Optional off-site meets
and inter-squad meets will be available.
*Full year registrations will receive the 2016 Summer prep clinic for free- $150
value, as well as entry in to all optional inter-squad meets.

3- Day per week group designed for high school age swimmers who
are not looking for the commitment of our Elite team. Same pricing
and session dates as our AquaSquids teams.
Elite Team
Pricing: 8 installments of $200.00 billed monthly.
*First payment due at time of registration
This group is designed for high school swimmers who compete for
their school. We will offer these swimmers a place to practice and
train for their high school meets without being pressured to swim
competitively for us. We encourage our athletes to swim for their
school with pride! This is also a “college prep” course for those who
will be taking their swimming to that next level. This group is
designated for 9th-12th graders only.
This is a 6 practice per week program.
4 swim days and 2 dry-land training days.
Note: This is a TRYOUT based team that will carry a max of 16 swimmers.
Attendance does count on this one. This is a monthly billed program due to the
fact that swimmers may be placed on different AFC swim teams during the year
if they are not meeting the ELITE team requirements.
Elite Team Schedule: (Starting September 14th)
Monday: Swim practice 3:00pm-4:00pm
Tuesday: Swim practice 8:45pm-9:45pm
Wednesday: Dry Land Training 6pm-7pm
Thursday: Swim practice 6am-7am

*STEP 2: EVALUATIONS
Once parents/swimmers have decided that they want to join one of our
teams, an evaluation is necessary. Evaluations for all swimmers are
mandatory. NO SWIMMER WILL BE CUT FROM A PROGRAM (with the
exception of the ELITE team). An evaluation is so that the coaches can find
the best fit for each individual swimmer. At the end of the evaluation, each
swimmer will be given a form by the coaches that will state what groups
they would be suitable for.

Starting Sept. 14th, evaluations will be available every Monday
from 5:30-6pm throughout the year as long as team is meeting.
You may bring your swimmer to any evaluation. No appointment
is necessary. Last evaluation date: March 21st
*STEP 3: REGISTRATION
Now that each swimmer has their evaluation sheet from the coaches, we
can proceed with registration. Registration can be done in person at the
facility or over the phone. Please use the registration form located on the
back of this brochure.

*Full year clients may choose a split payment method where half
is billed at the time of registration and the other half on 12/1/15.
*Full year registrations choosing this option will receive the
2016 Summer prep clinic for free - $150 value, as well as be given
free entry into all Inter-Squad meets.
August 10th- Session 1, all other sessions with deposit.
Note: Sessions 2-5 will be an open registration and may be signed up for AT
ANYTIME during the year. If signing up prior to 2 weeks before the session start
date, a $50 non-refundable deposit will be charged and the rest will be
automatically billed to a provided credit card. Billing dates for balances will be
declared upon registration.

OTHER SWIM TEAM PROGRAMS:

For those team members that want to put their skills to the test, AFC
coaches will be organizing groups to head to some chosen area swim
meets and compete as individuals. More details to follow!
NEW!! INTER-SQUAD competitions at
our Rt.70 pool! We will be holding 4 meets throughout the
year just for AFC Swimming team members. These will be perfect for any of
our team members that might want to explore the competitive side of
swimming.
Our sister location, Future Fitness Powered by AFC, is right down the street
and has a 22 meter pool that we will be utilizing for these events. All meets
will be optional and will have a small sign up fee. Awards will be given out.

Summer Prep 2-Week Clinic
Your swimmer’s last chance to get in practice before the outdoor
clubs open! All four strokes will be covered as well as starting block
work and turns.
