Garibaldi The Chart House Saturday, April 16, 2016 This evening is dedicated to the memory of our beloved Chairwoman hr pac The Hudson Riverfront Performing Arts Center, Inc. (HRPAC) is a New Jersey nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding and enhancing the arts in North Hudson. Through its two free concert series, Summer Concerts on the Hudson and the UBS Atrium Series, HRPAC has developed an excellent track record for bringing fine and diverse programming to our region and for sharing its programs with the area’s youth through arts education outreach. Over its thirteen year history, HRPAC has presented over a thousand performing artists to many thousands of fans, and even had the honor of featuring many Grammy and Tony Award-winning artists. It has also brought educational programs, free of charge, to thousands of students in eight of Hudson County’s school districts. Garibaldi Marie was a remarkable person, well-known for her groundbreaking accomplishments in the legal field. She was the first woman Supreme Court justice of the State of New Jersey and the first woman President of the New Jersey Bar Association. She was a generous spirit, unwavering in her beliefs, and extremely loyal to her friends and family. Marie believed in the importance of philanthropy and practiced what she preached. She was active on several boards, including the Hackensack University Medical Center. She was a founder of our organization and one of its driving forces, devoting a tremendous amount of time, energy, and financial resources over the years. Marie was truly proud of her Italian heritage and very active in Italian-American organizations and causes. She will be greatly missed by so many, both on a personal and professional level. He came to the U.S. to attend the Juilliard School and is now studying with full scholarship at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. Last summer Piotr worked with legendary soprano Renata Scotto at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. He made his Lincoln Center debut last year at Alice Tully Hall performing a songcycle by Karol Szymanowski. This summer he will sing Nemorino in L’Elisir d’Amore at the Teatro Petrarca in Arezzo. E ric Margiore, a native of New York, has sung leading roles around the world, including Rodolfo in La Boheme at San Francisco Opera and Alfredo in La Traviata for Lyric Opera of Baltimore, among many others. Eric made his European debut as Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Dusseldorf, Germany. He has also sung the tenor solo in the Verdi Requiem at Carnegie Hall and worked with New York City Opera and Opera Orchestra of New York. Eric has recorded with Albany Records for Thomas Pasatieri’s opera, La Divina. M atthew White hails from New Market, Virginia. He has sung principal roles with the Palm Beach Opera and Vero Beach Opera and has performed at the Caramoor Festival. He recently sang the title role in Werther at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. Matthew has sung the tenor solos in Bach’s Cantata 147 and in Mozart’s Requiem. Other roles include Avito in L’Amore Dei Tre Re, Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd, Younger Thompson in Glory Denied, and Alfred in Die Fledermaus. M ackenzie Whitney is originally from Janesville, Iowa and is gaining recognition nationwide for his expressive lyric tenor voice. He recently performed the role of Rodolfo in La Bohème with Madison Opera and also made his company debut with Des Moines Metro Opera in the role of Giovanni in Rappaccini’s Daughter. This summer he will debut with Mill City Summer Opera as Anthony in Sweeney Todd and return to the Lakes Area Music Festival to sing Lysander in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. D anielle Orlando is a vocal coach, artistic consultant, and accompanist to many international opera singers. She has collaborated with major opera stars, including legendary tenors Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo. She has been seen and heard on national television accompanying singers Andrea Bocelli and Michael Bolton, among others. Danielle is a master coach at the Academy of Vocal Arts and the principal opera coach at the Curtis Institute of Music.
