UFED Touch/4PC is now even easier to use, with the enhanced workflow. The improved workflow starts with the device selection screen, and then selection of the actions available for the selected device. The application will notify the user about the new workflow and its instructions on first usage. User authentication1 – UFED Touch /4PC enable the administrator to manage user accounts, and grant access to users using username and password to perform activities. UFED Touch/4PC user authentication ensures that only users with the right credentials can access the UFED. Access rights are further enforced by defining permission levels per profile (See ‘Permission Management’). Permission management 1 – New UFED Permission Manager is a standalone application, available with UFED Touch/4PC. Using this application, the administrator can create profiles that define the access permissions for the users, including access rights per extraction type, content types and more. A single profile can be assigned to multiple users. The users and profiles can be exported into an encrypted permission management file, which can be imported into multiple UFED Touch/4PC units. Enhanced AutoDetect – UFED Touch /4PC2 are now running automatic AutoDetect upon device connection, which enables streamlined operational flow. Step 1 Step 2 2AutoDetect will run automatically on UFED 4PC when the UFED Device Adapter is connected, otherwise the user will be required to push the AutoDetect button on the main screen. New transaction counter – Counting the number of transactions performed on the UFED Touch/4PC to monitor device usage. Transactions include all extractions per type and device tool actions. The counters are managed locally and can also be reset. Enhanced IP settings – Static IP setting is now enabled through UFED Touch setting interface. New UFED Tutorials* – UFED Touch/4PC/TK now including step-by-step walkthrough tutorial video players, demonstrating advanced extraction methods.
