Studio Classes
Homeschool Clay Play
Tuesdays, March 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29.
1:30 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Ages 6 - 17. $12 per student
Each week we will focus on a different
clay technique and project. All
instruction, glazes and firing are included
in the class cost. We are open to all ages
and skill levels in this class. Please sign up
for each class individually. You may email
education@georgeohr.org with specific questions.
Mudslingers: Try Your Skill on the
Wheel
March 1: Garden Gnomes

Mudslingers who enroll in an ongoing wheel throwing class receive a

Clay Babies: Clay Springtime Birds in
a Nest
Saturday, March 12,
10:30—11:30 a.m. or 12—1 p.m.
$12 per child per project. Ages 2—8.
Great opportunity for your little ones to
make adorable clay birds to put in a clay
nest. They will learn some basics of
clayworking and paint their creations as well. Work ready for pick
up in two weeks. Please register in advance for this very popular
class.

wheels and see if clay is your new hobby! We will help you
create two pots to keep, and they will be glazed and ready to pick
up two weeks from class date. Wear clothes you can get dirty!
Clay Sculptural Boxes,: Windows of Our Minds

$25 per person. Ages 14 & up.
Susan Vaughan—a wonderful

ordinary clay boxes into abstract and
figurative sculptures. Please bring

to class. This is an excellent
introduction to working in clay.

Horton Humble:
Global Log— The Lisbon
Series
Come see the world's most amazing pottery machine in
action in a heart pounding, thrilling performance under the
big top carnival tent. Learn about STEAM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) as Bay St. Louis
Artist/Engineer Steve Barney hangs upside down, makes pots
with his head, and performs other crazy antics to make
pottery.
The show will also feature a host of wacky carnival
performers, including New Orleans' Zaknoonkaz juggling
troupe, belly dancing by Safira, the Ghost of George Ohr, the
Dog-Faced Boy and Bearded Girl and others. Musical
performers include Blackwater Brass and D & D Duet.
Showtimes 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m. & 4:30 p.m.
Tickets are $5 (kids 12 and under free.) Discounted museum
gallery admission for Coastcon and STEAMpunk attendees.
