This project provided Aramco with a coordinated plan
for its four major residential communities on 1,400
hectares in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The
plan consisted of three major components: illustrated
development design guidelines; recommended development standards and a District Zoning outline; and a
comprehensive set of plans dealing with existing physical cultural characteristics, existing and proposed land
use, parcelization and phasing, site specific illustrations
and utilities plans for all four communities. The land area covered by the plans is in excess of
1416.4 hectares with a maximum total projected yield
of 82,000 dwelling units and considerable land area was
designated for future development.
