 Light House pastor Billy Rosebur baptized 10 people at their sister Church,
New Sunset, on Sunday January 24th. Primera Killeen also baptized 5 on the
same day!
 County Line has called Marshall Latham to be their new pastor. He and his wife
Tamara, have four children. Welcome to the BBA family!
 Immanuel is planning two mission trips this summer. One trip will help an existing church plant in the Pacific Northwest. The other trip will be evangelism
and service projects in the state of Texas.
 First Killeen held a DNOW weekend in January. Their youth are collecting items
for a garage sale March 18 & 19. Proceeds will help the youth going to camp
and on the Alaska mission trip in 2016. The church collected 323 shoe boxes
for Operation Christmas Child.
 Pastor Taeuk Kim led a mission team on a trip to the Dominican Republic in
December. A total of 9 served on this team.
 Tom & Sue Henderson visited with Pastor Mike Rinker at Solid Rock Baptist in
Austin recently. This church serves the Deaf Community. Mike said there are
over 10,000 deaf people in Austin. Pray that God will send a spiritual awakening through the deaf community in the Austin area. Pastor Mike has a burden
from the Lord to hold a city wide deaf crusade in 2017.
 Family Promise of Greater Fort Hood met for an informational meeting at Trinity Baptist in January.
 Trinity Baptist called Lydia Arzola as Co-Minister of Youth. She has been working with Youth Minister, Orlando Arzola, for the last
year. Now they will serve together. Their youth group participated in DNOW at Highland Lakes Camp in January.
 12 members from Freedom Road Biker Church and their pastor, Jimmy Van Loozen, participated in the Lone Star Bike Rally on
Galveston Island in November. There were 1031 people who visited the tents and 269 salvations! In the last two years we have
seen 668 people receive Christ as their Savior through this ministry. The rally happens every November. Mark your calendars now!
 First Temple welcomed Evan Duncan as their Media/Communications Director and Minister to College and Young Adults, and Jesse
Howeth as their Worship Producer and Contemporary Worship Leader.
 First Temple will be offering a free mass wedding and vow renewal on Sunday, February 14th as a service to the community. The
worship center will be decorated. They will have a photographer and each couple will receive free pre-marital counseling! If you or
someone you know would be interested, apply by January 30th by calling the church office at 254.773.6866.
 Korean American Grace BC held a “Dispatching Service” for 9 people from their church who headed to the Dominican Republic for
a week of missions. They helped missionaries, Rev. Gi-Chul Chio and Ae-Hui Moon whom the church commissioned in 2011. They
had 4 college students, 1 middle school student and the pastor’s family on the trip.
 Trinity went on their annual trip to deliver
books to 459 students in Lasara ISD. The kids
were full of smiles and remembered them
from their summer trips there. They have an
on-going ministry to the people of the area,
and a commitment to sharing the gospel.
 Miller Heights has called Corey Dyson as their
new Children’s Minister.
 Soldiers of the Cross held an Experiencing
God Weekend and had 62 people sign up to
take the class. This is almost half of the 140
who attend regularly on Sunday mornings!

I trust that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and a joyful New Year. Sue
and I had a wonderful time with our family between Christmas and through New Year’s
Day. Then we celebrated our oldest daughter’s wedding on January 2nd in Philadelphia.
We had a great time. We arrived back in Texas on January 4 th ready to see what God was
already doing in the early days of 2016.
Our theme for 2016 is ““Listen, Obey, Grow” taken from Revelation 2:7a. Jesus shared
this concept with each of the seven churches He addressed in the second and third chapters of Revelation. He wanted them to know that victory was possible, but they would
have to do it His way. This was as much a challenge to them as it is to us today. We are
seeing the Lord work in our BBA family.
1. Celebrating our New Church Starts. We are blessed to have six missions in our
BBA Family. Five of those started in 2015. We are hearing reports of growth, baptisms and community impact. We have several more new starts in the beginning
stages. Pray for sponsoring churches to come along side of these potential works.
2. Cooperating together for Evangelism. Our Evangelism Team has been at work
developing a process to involve our BBA Family in a holistic approach to evangelism.
They have encouraged our churches to pray for revival. They have planned an evangelistic rally for March 1st at First Belton. Evangelist Michael Gott will be our guest
speaker. We will have a combined BBA choir led by Derrell Thompson. Michael will
be speaking at Taylor’s Valley on Sunday, February 28th . He will be meeting with
interested pastors, staff, and lay persons who want to learn more about evangelism.
He will be leading sessions at breakfast and lunch on February 29 th and March 1st.
The meals will be at the BBA Mission Center. The breakfast meeting will be repeated
at lunch each day. We are giving more options in order to make the opportunity
more available to our BBA Family. We need you to sign up so we can have plenty of
food for all who attend Our Evangelism Team will be challenging our churches to
buy and wear red t-shirts that have “I Love My Church” on them. These will be worn
into the community as the churches make commitments to impact their neighborhoods with the gospel through various projects and events. If you would like more
information contact myself, or a member of the Evangelism Team; Ed Talley, Tim
McKeown, Bruce Lovesmith, Richard Worden, Carl Love, or Bobby Jones. I believe
God is getting our BBA Family ready to do a powerful work through us. Will you join
us in reaching our area with the light of the Gospel?
3. Committing ourselves for the long haul. It is obvious that our race to run in the
Christian life is a marathon, not a sprint. We are familiar with the ups and downs of
church life. But, we know that God is at work to do His will in and through us as His
people. As we pray for each other and encourage one another, we will continue to
see victory that comes with the work of God. Who are you encouraging others in
your church and in other churches to keep on keeping on? I am convinced that satan
is like a sniper and his plan is to “pick off” Christian leaders one by one. Let’s stand
together and make sure we have each other’s back.
Join us as we “Listen, Obey, and Grow”
In Christ’s Love and Victory,
Tom Henderson

Have you ever
gotten an E-Mail
from God?
Testimony
from
one
of
the
“Experiencing God” weekend volunteers at
Soldiers of the Cross Cowboy Fellowship.
“Texanna was talking to the children on
Saturday morning about how God talks to
us (just as the adults were discussing inside). Suddenly little Shannon who is in
pre-kindergarten asked, "How do I know if
God is talking to me.?"
I said, "That is a very good question.
Many people ask that question." Before I
could say more, Gradden said, "Do you
know what a mail box is?" Shannon
nodded. Gradden proceeded, "Your heart
is like a mailbox, and God sends you a
letter, and you know it is from Him."
WOW!
Later that afternoon while I was the
discussion leader of a small adult group,
there was a moment in the discussion
when it was the perfect time to say, "I do
not know any of you nor how you might
be related to each other or any of the
children, but I just must tell you how
Texanna designed some materials for
children which goes along with the things
the adults have been learning but on a
child's level.
Then I told the story about the mailbox.
Suddenly one of the ladies said, "I am
Shannon's mother. Now something makes
more sense. Just before lunch, my
daughter came up to me and asked,
'Mommy, have you ever gotten an e-mail
from God?'"
Betty Kelsey
"How do I know if God is
talking to me.?"
Your heart is like a
mailbox, and God sends you a letter,
and you know it is from Him."

Counseling
Services
Are you fun loving, out-going, energetic and missions minded?
Do you want to help spread the good news of Jesus Christ and have a great
time doing it?
If this sounds like you (or someone you know) we are looking for 6 young
people to spend the summer doing missions right here in our area.
The Bell Baptist Association (BBA) will provide a $1,350 scholarship for each
summer missionary (SMs). SMs will serve a 9 to 10 week period. On field expenses
such as lodging (for any SM who does not live locally), some meals and ministry
related costs will be provided by the places served or BBA. SMs are responsible for
transportation to and from the field (you will go in pairs, so only one of team will
need their own wheels). SMs will be performing various duties for the churches
requesting their assistance, but the following are some of the duties performed by
previous SMs: Assist with VBS, Music or Sports Camps, planning and preparing for
summer activities, assisting with Backyard Bible Clubs, participating in missions
trips, park outreach, apartment ministry, Super Saturday events and camping
retreats.
Qualifications: Show evidence of growing as a disciple, be 17 by May 1st, 2016,
be active in or affiliated with a Bell Baptist Association Church, participate in the
application/interview process. (Applications taken thru February 27th.)

be interested in being a

Excerpt from a THANK YOU card from one of our previous SM’s
…”I have been invited to go to a discovery weekend for Go Now
Missions. I appreciate your support as I move forward in this process.
It is exciting and scary! Honestly, I do not think I would be where I am
today applying for this position without having served as a BBA Summer
Missionary the past two summers. From speaking in VBS rotation with
over 170 kids to approaching someone on the beach and being able to
share the gospel using a salvation bracelet. I have been stretched and
challenged in many ways that have deepened my desire for all people to
know Him and to take action in those opportunities. Thank you for
allowing me to serve as a BBA Summer Missionary, and know that I will
take all I have learned with me as I continue to move on into this new
journey off the map!”
