www.QinetiQ-NA.com/survivability
Specifications
BTAS Summary
BTAS is a single-hand operable, vehicle emergency egress
system. BTAS will provide vehicle occupants alternative
points of egress with very low exertion of force. Vehicle
rollovers due to maneuvering in unstable terrain, or
IED threats encountered in combat, result in hindered
or delayed vehicle egress and potential loss of life.
Such vehicle rollovers may be encountered in combat
situations, or during vehicle training. The BTAS system
creates additional egress passages through windshields
and/or windows nearly instantly. The BTAS system
forces separation of transparent armor from the vehicle
surface. An internal handle requires low force exertion
to release the hold-back latch. Once actuated, energy
storage systems generate sufficient force to move a
200+ lb window from an overhead position.

CECIL Summary
Effective systems for secondary side maintenance (inspection,
cleaning, and foreign object retrieval) are essential to
ensure operational efficiency and long life for pressurized
water reactor (PWR) steam generators. Corrosion products
formed throughout the secondary cycle settle on top of the
tubesheet and promote degradation of the tube bundle.
Foreign objects introduced during initial fabrication or
maintenance activities impinge on tubes during operation
and can eventually wear through tube walls causing primary
to secondary leakage. CECIL is a turn-key system and includes
a remotely operated robotic drive system with locomotion
tilt and lance drive axes that will deliver flexible inter-tube
lance assemblies through existing handholes into a steam
generator 90-deg lanes for inspection, cleaning, foreign
object retrieval and bulk spray cleaning.
