Students Play Lots of Music!
Over 200 students from École Camille J. Lerouge School, École Mother Teresa
School, St. Thomas Aquinas School, École St. Marguerite Bourgeoys School and
St. Francis of Assisi School participated in the Red Deer College “Clinics on
Campus Band Workshop” last week. What an experience it was for all - a funfilled day of learning and developing a life-long love and appreciation of music.

Leadership Students Support
Big hearts at Notre Dame
On Shrove Tuesday, staff and students at École
Secondaire Notre Dame High School held a pancake
breakfast in an effort to raise money for Naah, the
school’s foster child in Ghana. Everyone enjoyed the
social gathering and the hot breakfast. The $2
donations from everyone who attended raised over
$350 for Naah!
This week the Leadership students of École
Secondaire Notre Dame High School helped support
Alberta Olympians by creating a banner with over
500 signatures and words of support. The banner then
traveled to Vancouver with teachers Madelene and
Lee Caine. It is on display at the Alberta House for all
visitors to see!
Notre Dame High School has been home to many
Olympians, such as Long Track Speed Skater Jeremy
Wotherspoon and Luger Reagan Lauscher!
Thank you to all the students and staff who worked on
sending best wishes to Canadian athletes. You have
made it possible for our entire Division to be in
Vancouver in spirit!

Koffin, for organizing this successful fundraiser and preLent event!
ND Boys Curling Team Moves On...
“ Let’s Get Growing ” at
Our Lady of the Rosary School

competed in the
Curling Areas last
weekend. The
boys team won
both games
qualifying #1!
The boys played
very well and represented the school superbly. They
will compete in the zone tournament this weekend in
Ponoka. Congratulations to the team and coach
Radean Adams. GOOD LUCK this weekend!
Students at Our Lady of the Rosary School learned
about healthy eating this week and are embarking on
a project called “Let’s Get Growing” that will see them
grow vegetables to make a salad! Happy gardening!
Safe and caring schools are places that give respect and dignity to students
and where their safety and well-being are paramount at all times.
