Contact your stove supplier for replacements. The log effect kit is not covered by the stove`s warranty for accidental damage, so great care should be taken when handling the ceramic burner and logs. It is important that the logs, ember glow fibres and ceramic cubes are installed in accordance with these instructions as any deviation may cause poor combustion. The addition of further ceramic logs or cubes is strictly prohibited. The wool is coated with platinum and is similar to fibreglass and should be handled carefully. We recommend the use of suitable dust mask, gloves or tweezers when placing the embers in position. Wash hands immediately after touching to avoid irritation. Do not store the embers close to flammable liquids. The Embers must be placed correctly in order to function properly. Tease out the fabric to form loose, irregular shapes. Do not compress the embers or force into position. Important: Tease out fabric to form loose, irregular shapes. Use of ember glow fibres With the embers correctly placed the fibres glow and flicker similar to burning ash. Their placement is important as the effect produced can only occur when they are heated by the gas jets or by direct radiated heat. Place the ember fibres under the small cubes to hold the ember fibres in place. By rubbing ember glow fibres into the face of the logs which are heated by the gas jets, the fibres which adhere to the logs will flicker and glow. With suitable gloves take a square of ember glow fibre and gently rub into the burnt area of each log. (see the log fitting instructions which follow). The pack containing the ember glow fibres contains more than is required. The additional embers should be kept for further service requirements. Place fibres and cubes adjacent to this area. Fitting the Log Effect Kit This is very fragile and should be handled with the utmost care. Ensure that all transport packaging which held the ceramic burner in place in transit has been removed. Position the main log at the rear of the burner, so that the flat surfaces of the rear log and burner sit together. 1. Place ceramic cubes adjacent to the holes of the burner underneath the rear log with teased out sections of ember glow under each ember cube, leaving about 5mm between each cube. Do not place ceramic cubes or ember glow on the pilot ignition route (see previous page) Gently rub the ember glow into the burnt surfaces of the log.
