of the arts and sports world. The proceeds raised by the ball
are offered to purchase an ambulance for the Hungarian
National Ambulance Emergency Service.

On 1 March 2014 from 8 p.m. the Hungarian State Opera organizes
the Silver Rose Ball. It received its name after the opera Der Rosenkavalier
by Richard Strauss. The Opera would like to pay tribute
to the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth.
