The career of an Early Education Teacher is full of many responsibilities, roles and challenges,
and like most worthwhile endeavours it is often demanding, exciting and rewarding.
ƒƒ child development,
ƒƒ improving educational and developmental outcomes for children,
ƒƒ contemporary theories and approaches to curriculum development and
implementation,
ƒƒ establishing respectful and caring relationships with children and their families,
ƒƒ cultural and social diversity,
ƒƒ developing partnerships with additional services,

experience working in the sector
before beginning my degree, you
learn so much from other people
and other centres.
It was great to then come to
class, share these experiences
and explore new ideas with my
fellow Early Years students. It’s
just something that keeps me
interested and excited about
my job.

“It is true that employees recognise the high expectations UOW places on its
students. My experiences from studying at UOW have modelled the person and
teacher that I have become today.
Studying at UOW provided me with the opportunities to extend my horizons, to meet new
inspiring people, explore innovative ideas and develop a love and passion for teaching.
As a graduate, I am now equipped with the skills, connections, relationships and experiences
