Mr. Acri is program director and co-host of The Zone
103.7 The Buzz/KABZ-FM
in Little Rock. The awardwinning journalist came
to Arkansas in 1998 as a
news reporter at KATV-TV,
from KBJR-TV in Duluth,
Minnesota. In 2003, he
transitioned to the sports
department and joined The Buzz morning show.
He took over the program director position and
joined The Buzz full time in 2006. He is happily
married to his wife Kristi and they are the proud
parents of two boys, Parker and Maddux.
Ms. Bowman is Executive
Director of the Argenta
Community Development
Corporation. She is
interested in issues
pertaining to housing,
transportation,
neighborhood stabilization
and economic vitality.
BECKY ADAMS

Ms. Adams works for the
ADH, where she is Director
of Partnership and Policy
Support, Chronic Disease
Prevention and Control
Branch. Her expertise and
interest is in issues relating to
health and aging. She lives in

SAM CHAFFIN

A graduate of University of
Arkansas with a Masters in
industrial engineering, Mr.
Chaffin is a consultant for
supply chain management
and logistical matters. He is
active in numerous professional and civic organizations, and was a member
of the TAC. He is married to
former State Senator Charlie Cole Chaffin; they
have three children and five grandchildren.
Ms. Bowles is fluent in
Spanish and active in
the Latino community.
Additionally, she works for
Aristotle and has an abiding
interest and expertise in
social media. She is married
to Raphael Bravo and they
have a daughter.

TOM CLARKE

CHARLES CUMMINGS

Mr. Clarke is Director of Properties and Planning at LRNA.
He is a native Arkansan with
over 30 years experience as
a consulting engineer specializing in planning, project
management, design and
construction. He previously
represented Memphis International Airport on the Memphis Urban Area
Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Mr. Cummings has owned and
managed carriers operating
in all areas of transport and
distribution, both domestic
and international. He has
been a member of the TAC
since its inception in 1993.
MARCIA COOK
Represents: City of Sherwood

Ms. Cook is the executive
director of the Sherwood
Chamber of Commerce.
She is a member of the
Sherwood Rotary Club and
is Assistant Governor for
Rotary District 6150. Ms.
Cook is also on the executive board of the Little
Rock Air Force Base Community council. She lives
in Sherwood with her husband, Jerry, and enjoys
relaxing on their Lake Hamilton property. Her
interest in the planning process is in the connection between quality of life and economic vitality.
KELLY COUGHLIN

Kelly Coughlin is an Arkansas native whose experience
spans two very different
locations—Silicon Valley, California, and Lonoke County,
Arkansas. She is the Economic
Development Director for
the Sherwood Chamber of
Commerce. Ms. Coughlin has
previously served on the TAC, and is now the designated alternate for the City of Sherwood.
KEVINDAVIS
Represents: City of Cabot

Mr. Davis is an alderman with
the city of Cabot. He is an
employee of FedEx, and serves
on the LRAFB community
council. He and his wife, Karen,
have a ten-year-old daughter,
Grace. Mr. Davis enjoys
traveling and has visited many
countries in connection with mission work. He is
also a marathon runner.
JIM DURHAM
Represents: City of Jacksonville

Mr. Durham has lived in the
City of Jacksonville since
moving there with his parents in 1956. He currently
serves as the city’s Director
of Administration. Together
with his wife, Darlene, the
Durhams own and operate
several retail and corporate
businesses in the Jacksonville area.

TOM EASTERLY
Represents: Saline County

Mr. Easterly’s background
in government covers more
than half a century of municipal and state, working in
both legislative and executive branches. He has worn
many hats and has been
involved in everything from
Urban Renewal to president
of a water district, and has experience dealing
with many other issues of transportation and
infrastructure. In addition, he has served on the
TAC for nearly ten years! Mr. Easterly lives in Hot
Springs Village.
SHELLY EHENGER

Ms. Ehenger is executive
director of the Metropolitan
Housing Alliance (formerly
known as Little Rock Housing
Authority). She reports that
she loves her job and is a
proud “people person”. Ms.
Ehenger enjoys all kinds of
outdoor activities.

ROBIN FREEMAN

Robin Freeman (MPA, CVM)
is the planning director
for Central Arkansas
Development Council,
a 12-county nonprofit
community action agency
in central Arkansas that
addresses the economic
security, education, wellness
and prosperity of income
insecure Arkansans. She oversees grants,
publicity, outreach and the free tax preparation
program for the agency. She is a graduate of
UA Division of Agriculture LeadAR Class 14, and
serves on the Planning and Zoning Commission
for the City of Benton, among other numerous
community activities. She is married to Orlando
and they have a daughter.
Mr. Felkins is the UP public
relations liaison.

DAVID GREEN

Mr. Green is the new Director
of Planning and Community
Development for the City
of Bryant. He is a graduate
of Oklahoma State University and has over 30 years of
urban planning experience in
Oklahoma and the Dallas/Fort
Worth area. Mr. Green has
also worked in the private planning sector with
Bauman Consultants Inc. of Arlington, Texas. He
is new to Arkansas, having recently moved here
with his wife Deby who is an Advertising Director
for Dilard’s Corporate in LIttle Rock.

Foundation. Originally from
Springfield, Missouri, Dr.

Chairman of its Transportation and Infrastructure

(CAPT.) SCOTT HENDRIX
Represents: Little Rock Air Force Base (LRAFB)

Capt. Hendrix grew up in
Denton, TX. He attended
Texas Christian University
(TCU) and commissioned
into the Air Force in 2006.
Upon completion of pilot
training and the C-130 school
house, he was assigned to
the 50th Airlift Squadron
at LRAFB. He has deployed twice to Iraq and
once to Afghanistan. Capt. Hendrix is an aircraft
commander with 1300 hours in the C-130, 700 of
which are combat hours. He is married to Lindsay
Hendrix, and they have a daughter, Natalie. The
Hendrix family lives in Cabot.
SCOTT HUNTER
Represents: Faulkner County

A resident of central Arkansas
all his life, Mr. Hunter has
worked in transportation and
logistics for 29 years, holds a
Class A CDL, and has logged
over 1,500,000 miles without
an accident. After nine
years as an over-the-road
driver, Mr. Hunter has also worked as a terminal
manager, a fleet manager, and a load coordinator.
He lives in Conway, is married to Leanne Lester
Hunter, has one child, Amanda, and two stepchildren, Kara and Jake.
LANE KIDD

AARON KNIGHT

RODNEY LARSEN
Represents: Saline County

Mr. Larsen is executive
director of Central Arkansas
Planning and Development
District, which serves the
counties of Lonoke, Monroe,
Prairie, Faulkner, Pulaski and
Saline. He has over 27 years
of experience working in
economic and community
development /planning at the local, regional and
state levels. Mr. Larsen holds a Master of Public
Administration from the University of Arkansas
at Fayetteville. He and his wife Patty are life-long
residents of Benton. They have two sons and two
grandchildren. He has also served on the TAC.

TODD LARSON

Mr. Larson is executive
director of the North Little
Rock Economic Development
Corporation. He is a long-time
member of the TAC.
PAUL LATTURE

Mr. Latture is executive
director of the LRPA. He has
lived throughout the South
and Southwest, and has served in executive
positions on a number of economic development
organizations and chambers of commerce.
MARK LEDBETTER
Represents: Faulkner County

Mr. Ledbetter is retired from
the Conway Fire Department
after 33 years of service.
He currently works for
the Faulkner County Road
Department. A Conway
native, he enjoys hunting and
spending time with his wife
and six grandchildren.
ED LEVY
Represents: BACA (Alternate)

Edwin Cromwell Levy is
a graduate of Auburn
University School of
Architecture and is a principal
at Cromwell Architects
Engineers in Little Rock.
An expert in sustainable
building design, Mr. Levy has
also received military training in antiterrorism
and has designed numerous buildings that are
incompliance with DoD standards for antiterror
safety. Mr. Levy is active in his church and
communitiy. He bicycle commutes 22 miles a day,
riding to work from his home on the banks of the
Arkansas River where he, his wife Mary and two
of their four sons live.
MATTHEW LONG
Represents: Central Arkansas Transit Authority (CATA)

Mr. Long recently moved
from Lawrence, Kansas to
central Arkansas, in order
to become CATA’s transit
planner. He has over five
years of experience in city
and transit planning, covering
communities in New Mexico and Kansas. He lives
in North Little Rock and enjoys walking to work,
riding the River Rail, and becoming part of the
metropolitan community.

Mr. McMillan is a vice
president at First Community
Bank in Cabot. In addition,
he serves as Chairman of
the Cabot Chamber of Commerce Economic
Development Committee, and is also a Past
President of the Chamber. He has served on

Committee.

Mr. Mitchell is Senior
Transportation Planner at
the Arkansas Highway and
Transportation Department,
and is the department’s
liaison to the Central Arkansas
Regional Transportation Study
(CARTS). He has worked for the AHTD for 31+
years, and has served on both the Technical
Coordinating Committee and the TAC for longer
than he is able to remember. He is a North Little
Rock resident living within walking distance of
Metroplan in the Argenta Historic District.
KAREEM MOODY

Mr. Moody works at Pulaski
Technical College, where he
is Director of the Network for
Student Success, a federally
funded program designed to
improve academic success
rates of African American men. The author
of Raise Them Up: The Real Deal on Reaching
Unreachable Kids, Mr. Moody has nearly 15 years
of practical, in-the-trenches experience working
for youth. He is a graduate of Henderson State
University, and is active in a number of civic
organizations. The married father of two counts
Chicago, Illinois, and Dumas, Arkansas, among his
“hometowns”.
SAM O'BRYANT

As the Assistant Director of
the Center on Philanthropy
at the Clinton School of
Public Service, Sam O’Bryant
is responsible for program
implementation and
organizational strategies.
In addition to his work at the Clinton School,
Mr. O’Bryant serves on the Boards of Directors
for the Leadership Greater Little Rock Alumni,
and the Centers for Youth and Families and
Promiseland Community Development
Corporation. He is also vice-chairman of the
Water/Wastewater Committee for the City of
Bryant. Mr. O’Bryant is married to an attorney,
Jacqueline, and together they have two sons,
Sam IV and Jacob.
TIM RAGSDALE

Originally from Russellville,
AR, Mr. Ragsdale has lived
in Little Rock and worked
for the Department of
Human Services since 1988.
He was diagnosed with
Becker Muscular Dystrophy and has required a
wheelchair since 1992. Mr. Ragsdale also serves
on the CATA’s Americans with Disabilities (ADA)
committee.

Ms. Smith is employed

her spare time, she enjoys
family gathering, reading,
and watching cozy murder
mysteries along the lines of
“Murder, She Wrote”. Ms.
Smith has served on the TAC

Mr. Roda is a real estate
attorney with the Davidson

downtown resident of Little
Rock, which means he gets
to walk to Metroplan for

FREDRICKA SHARKEY

Metropolitan Campus of
Webster University, Fredricka
Sharkey is responsible for
strategic marketing and
public relations at the
graduate center. She has
an extensive background
in communications and marketing, and led in
the creation of Can the Grease, a campaign
replicated throughout the United States aimed at
educating consumers on the impact of dumping
cooking oil in sewers. Ms. Sharkey is married, and
she and her husband, Neal, are parents to three
children, Neal IV, Sarah, and Frederick.

JACK STOWE

Mr. Stowe is from Texas and
has lived in Arkansas the
last 14 years. He works for
the City of Maumelle as the
Special Projects Manager,
handling annexations, grants
and building projects. He has
served on both the TAC and
Green Task Force.

REGINA TAYLOR
Represents: Youth Outreach

Ms. Taylor is the Community
Programs Director for Girl
Scouts- Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. She
is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff
and the Clinton School of
Public Service. A Little Rock
native, Ms. Taylor is passionate about community and youth development
and loves working toward sustainable solutions.

Ms. Williams is currently
serving her 8th elected
term on the Pulaski County
Quorum Court. She holds a
Master’s in Education and
Administration from the UAFayetteville, and retired from
the public education system
after 42 years as a teacher
and administrator. Ms. Williams remains active in
leadership roles in a variety of civic and religious
organizations, and has served on the TAC since
the mid-1990s.

Lt. Wills is the designated
alternate for Capt. Hendrix.
Ms. Ueda studied international relations at
Georgetown University and
UALR. She will pursue a law
degree at the UALR Bowen
School of Law beginning
Fall 2012. She is currently
a commissioner for the
Little Rock Sustainability
Commission and co-chair
for the US Green Building
Council. In 2010, Arkansas Business named Ms.
Ueda as an Eco-Hero. In her spare time, Ms. Ueda
writes a popular blog called GreenAR by the Day,
which has attracted over 215,000 readers and
was named by Arkansas Times as one of the Best
Blogs in Central Arkansas. She lives in downtown
Little Rock.
