LOCATION
Miami is a major center and a leader in finance, commerce, culture,
entertainment, and arts, being the fourth largest urban area in the
USA, with a population of approximately 5.5 million. It is known as the
Magic City due to its rapid develpoment and growth. Sports are a huge
part of the lives of every Miamian, having major teams in the NBA, the
NHL, the NFL and the MLB, as well as being home to the Miami MLS
soccer team.

multitude

parks, along with its
tropical weather allyear-round
allows
for outdoor activities
and makes Miami
the perfect place to
host the first Copa
Americana ever in the
USA.
WHAT IS IT?
The Italian Soccer Academy Copa Americana
tournament is a sports and cultural event, aiming
to establish the steps of the ITSA youth program.
It’s an exchange of experiences, folklore and the
sport customs in the American continent and the
participating delegations; additionally, it’s an event
that gives the opportunity to young talents of
showcasing their abilities and enhancing them in a
challenging environment.
The tournament is strongly tied to other activities
and competitions developed by Stepstone
Enterprises and Eddie Marles. All these activities
are part of the same process, that culminates in
the College Showcase, an important event that
offers a platform for the young athletes to show
their skills to talent college scouts from renowned
universities, that can offer scholarships to these
institutions.

Each category will have a
Italian Soccer Academy Elite
International Team. These teams
are composed of youth talents
from all around the world.
The tournament registration is
by invitation only; due to this, the
level of the teams is the highest
possible. It will include local league champions, as well as the state
select team.

Players arrival on June 21st.
On Wednesday, June 22nd, we will host the Tournament

GUEST PLAYERS
5 guest players are allowed per team. These guests must be included
in the roster and they count towards the roster limit.
MATCH LENGTH
2 halves 25 minutes each – 9 v 9 for U10 and U12
2 halves 30 minutes each – 11 v 11 for U14, U16 and U18
MATCH SCHEDULE
Each team will play a minimum of 4 games.
LAWS OF THE GAME
Games will be punctual - no exceptions. All games will be played under
FIFA’s laws of the game. Full manual with the rules and regulations will
be given during team registration.

Win = 3 points
Tie = 1 point
Loss = 0 points
In the elimination stage, if the score is tied at the end of
regulation time, kicks from the penalty mark, as per FIFA laws
will decide the match.

2nd PLACE:
Medals
6 scholarships for an ITSA Camp – 50% off on team registration and
free accommodation package for 6 people (U10/U12) and 8 people
(U14/U16/U18) for Copa Americana Pereira 2016.

TOP SCORER:
Trophy – 1 scholarship to any ITSA Camp
BEST GOALIE:
Trophy – 1 scholarship to any ITSA Camp
Only teams that have taken accommodation packages can be eligible
for awards if they reach the finals. The only teams exempt from this,
are local teams, which make them eligible for the awards. By taking
these packages, teams support the “No Pay To Play” program. Every
national team is required to take a tournament package, in order to
participate. Teams without a package will not be registered to the
tournament.
