J
acumã used to be the place where the well
off people came for their vacation some
decades ago and the area is still visited by
people coming from all over Brazil to enjoy
the beauty of the beaches in the area. Names as
Praia de Amor, Praia de Granmame, Tabatinga
are the names of some of the most beautiful
beaches of Brazil. Perhaps the most beautiful of
all is Tambaba, which is an officially recognized
nudist beach. Those beaches are at a close reach
from the hotel.
P
lants of all kinds give life to the hotel
garden. Different palm trees, from the
most common Coconut Palms to the
Imperial, Indian and Mexican Palms have
been planted in strategic positions. When
having your breakfast you can see a colibri
birds zipping honey from one of the hibiscus
bushes nearby. New planting is continually
going on.
Hellsten Beach Hotel has 40 rooms a restau
rant area, two bars and two pool areas. The
hotel was built in 1984, and taken over by

undergone a light face lift and is being made
into a charme hotel.
This hotel has always been a favorite by
Brazilian tourists from Recife, Campina
Grande and San Paulo. The Owners intention
is to make it a meeting point between
Brazilians, Europeans and Americans (Gringos
as the Brazilians call it).
