Banjo’s Transformation
Mumbo will transform you into a lizard; Chewie.
Chewie is able to swim/walk through the poisonous bog water.
Chewie is immune to the gas coming out of the geysers.
Chewie has unlimited air while swimming.
Chewie can't go through grass fields, nor can he jump on/over them.
Chewie can climb over very steep walls (similar to talon trot, but on different terrain. Terrain on which
Chewie can climb over is has a distinct color from normal terrain).

Special Move
I wanted to create a new special move, since the wading boots used in Bubblegloop swamp felt very
annoying to use at all times. I wanted to create something simpler, and came up with the Air Bubble. It
allows Banjo to walk through the gasses coming out of the geysers without getting hurt. It only lasts for
a limited time, of course. Banjo first encounters the Bubble move immediately after Bottles teaches him
the move (located near mumbo’s skull). It is later on used in the boss battle with Ripper to gain a jigsaw
piece.

Enemies
Worms
Worms are underground enemies that pop up from a distance to chase after Banjo. Their behavior is
similar to Grabba in Gobi’s Valley. They can be defeated with 1 hit, and are rather easy to kill since they
chase you.

Slugs
Slugs are somewhat slow enemies who are able to slide/walk over the poisonous bog water. They are
also killed with 1 hit.

NPC’s
Slimey
Slimey is located under Mumbo's hut, thus the player is only able to talk to him while transformed. He
will ask you to play hide and seek, after accepting he will hide on 3 different spots. After you find him he
will go to the next. When you find him 3 times he will give you a jigsaw piece.
1st location - behind a platform on the far right of the level
2nd location - near the water in the bottom left of the level
3rd location - stuck on the bottom of the bridge near the waterfall
Slimey’s 1st encounter Dialog:
*Slimey*
Hey there!! I wanna play a game! do you want to join in as well?
*Chewie*
Sure! What's the game about?
*Slimey*
Three of my cousins are hidden in this bog somewhere, if you can find all of them I'll reward you with
this collectible I found!
*Chewie*
All right! Is there any time limit?
*Slimey*
No, take as long as you like! They also probably have something interesting to say, so keep your eyes
open!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Slimey's cousins each have a hint to share with chewie in order to defeat Ripper. These are their dialogs:

You found me, good job! Have you seen that overgrown dog? Apparently he's afraid of small creatures
like you!

I was an easy find, wasn't I? I'll tell you something awesome. That big dog wandering around here
doesn't seem to like those gasses the bog is emitting...

You found all of us! Great tracking work! You should head back to Slimey for your prize. Have you heard
about Ripper by the way? They say he
is rather vulnerable on his backside. I wonder why that is...

Congratulations! You found all of my cousins. As promised, here’s that collectible! I hope it comes in

Ripper (boss)
Ripper is Gruntilda's pet dog, as mentioned by Brentilda in one of her sentences: "She's also got this
nasty pet dog whose name is Ripper/Legchomper/Bignacka!"
Ripper is defending Gruntilda's Brewery hut, located in the middle of the map. Sadly, he's scared of little
lizards.
Dialog in front of Grunty's shack (jigsaw piece 2):
*Ripper*
HEY!! This is Gruntilda's private brewery! Get out before I turn you into a tasty snack!
(after a few times)
Didn't I tell you to go away! WARF! Don't make me come after you!!

Bottles
Once again, Bottles is located somewhere in the level. This time, he teaches Banjo&Kazooie a new
special move which makes Banjo immune to the poisonous gasses in the bog for a limited time. The
move is represented as a blue bubble floating in the air.
Dialog when speaking to Bottles:
*Bottles*
That bubble over there isn’t poisonous, unlike everything else in this treacherous bog. In fact, Banjo
could use it very well to prevent getting poisoned by the gasses spewing out of the ground.
*Banjo*
Well that’s convenient!
*Bottles*
Be careful though! It only lasts for a limited time, so you’ll have to be quick. Now you know all the bog’s
new moves!
