Everything You Love
™
Welcome to the best community in the world –
Loveland, Colorado! I am delighted to welcome
you as your adventure begins in Loveland. Whether
you are looking for a shopping adventure, an art
adventure, a western adventure, a craft beer and
foodie adventure or an outdoor adventure, Loveland
has Everything You Love and so much more.
Loveland has emerged as a very desirable destination for many visitors and
families, in part because of our recent accolades. Did you know that we are
home to the No 1 Embassy Suites in the world? Come enjoy the nation’s largest
outdoor juried sculpture show and sale, Sculpture in the Park, the second
weekend in August. Our arts districts, scenic views, 4th of July fireworks show
and recently energized historic downtown have all been recognized nationally
by Sunset Magazine, USA Today and CBS travel correspondent Peter Greenberg
within the last year. In addition, the TODAY Show’s Matt Lauer loves hamburgers
at The Boot Grill and the Travel Channel can’t get enough of Loveland’s
Verboten Brewery.
I continue to be proud of what Loveland has accomplished, but what truly sets
us apart is that we possess all the amenities of an urban population center, yet
still have small town charm, friendliness and a welcoming atmosphere. A visit
to Loveland comes with a heartfelt welcome from those within our community.
Stop in for a cup of joe at one of our local coffee shops and residents will be
sure to share a warm smile.

Budweiser Events Center, home to nationally touring acts including Cirque du
Soleil, Disney on Ice, Harlem Globetrotters and more. Why not take on a lively
ECHL Colorado Eagles Hockey Game? Be sure to ‘chuck a puck’ onto the ice
during intermission, or watch out as the Colorado Eagles Mascot might come
and jokingly sit on the children. Are you more of a football fan? Don’t miss the

Art celebrations and glorious statues

The festival that now flourishes was

The show will once again be held at

your creativity is flowing, go play
throughout Loveland by viewing
incredible works of art in our
museums, parks and galleries;
attend a lively program through
one of our performing art venues or
catch the latest movie in a stateof-the art movie theater. Whatever
you choose, your adventure begins
in Loveland.
The key is to respect the wildness of wildlife. “Wildlife” is just that—wild.
Most dangerous and potentially harmful encounters occur because people
fail to leave animals alone. Wildlife should not be harassed, captured,
domesticated or fed. Intentional or inadvertent feeding is the major cause
of most wildlife problems. It is illegal to feed deer, bighorn sheep,
mountain goats, pronghorn and
elk in Colorado. Contact the local
Colorado Parks & Wildlife office
at 970-472-4300 for information
regarding big game species like
deer, elk, pronghorn, sheep, goats,
bear, and moose.
Altitude Adjustment
Loveland is situated at 4,982
feet above sea level in a semiarid climate. The sun is more
intense, and you should always
wear sunscreen of at least 15
SPF, sunglasses, and drink lots
of water. There is less oxygen at
higher altitudes, so give yourself
time to adjust, plan a day of
rest before strenuous exercise
like downhill or cross-country
skiing; pace yourself while hiking
or biking. To decrease the risk
of acute mountain sickness at
altitudes above 7,400 feet, take it
easy, eat high carbohydrate foods
and limit salt and alcohol intake.
