From the menu Choose "Start – Execute". Write the order line: D:\SETUP7i.EXE (if D: = CD-ROM Reader) Validate by OK. The following window will be displayed: Select the option « ORACLE » Click on “Next” to continue. 7 Iukcw7i_jboss.doc 24/04/07 – Version 5 2) The following window will be displayed: Attention the files and subdirectories will be directly installed in the indicated directory. Indicate the path on which the files have to be installed (Ex: C:\Coswin) then Validate by “NEXT” to start the files installation. Be careful, the path must not contain space. At the end of the installation, the following window will be displayed. Validate by “OK”. 8 Iukcw7i_jboss.doc 24/04/07 – Version 5 CREATION OF THE ORACLE BASE/INSTANCE FOR COSWIN This step will create the ORACLE Instance/Base for COSWIN 7i. An assistant will help you to create this Base/Instance also as all the Oracle objects necessary to use COSWIN An Oracle user ‘Name of the schema' (COSWIN by default with the Password by default: COSWIN) acting as ‘DBA’ (administrator) will be created during this installation. All the Oracle objects for COSWIN 7i are created on the schema of this user. 9 Iukcw7i_jboss.doc 24/04/07 – Version 5 IN VERSION WINDOWS NT NETWORK VERY IMPORTANT: ORACLE WORKGROUPS/ENTERPRISE for WINDOWS NT SERVER must already be installed before starting the base creation. (See correspondent procedure) At the end of the base creation do not forget to follow the procedure of the screens importation. From the SERVER: Choose Start - Execute. Write the following order line: C:\COSWIN\Database\SIVCRORA.EXE (If c:\coswin = directory where the « Oracle » files have been installed (see last chapter) The following window will be displayed: [Database Location] • Local Database: This option will create the Instance and the Base on the server from which this program is started. [Instance] • • New: This option will create a new instance for COSWIN. Existing: This option will create the Oracle objects for COSWIN on an instance already existing. This option must imperatively be used when the precedent option “Remote” has been chosen. 10 Iukcw7i_jboss.doc 24/04/07 – Version 5 Choose : "New" and add the (SID) instance name: We strongly recommend to type: CWDB [Schema] This option permits to define the schema name that will be created in the instance. We strongly recommend to type: COSWIN [Chart. Set] This option allows to define the characters to be used according to country. By default ‘English’ is selected, it is advisable to keep this choice for France, UK … [Oracle Vers.] • Oracle 7 / Oracle 8 / Oracle 8i / Oracle 9i : Choose here the ORACLE version used : ORACLE 9i imperative for Coswin 7i. By default the program detects the Oracle version installed. Validate by “NEXT”. The following window will be displayed: • • Users: Specify here the number of simultaneous users of your configuration Req. Space : Amount of Mo that will be used by the Tablespaces. Keep the value as defined by default (It is computed according to the user’s number). • List of Drives: This list contains all the detected drives on the server with their total space and their free space. This list allows you to distribute the Files of the Oracle Base on one or several drives. Select in the list the drive and specify in the field “USE” the amount of Mo to be used in the selected drive. • On: Add here the installation directory of the ORACLE base files. By default, the directory suggested is:\Oracle\Ora81\OraData\svco. Validate the parameters « List of Drives » and « On » by the button “SET”. 11 Iukcw7i_jboss.doc 24/04/07 – Version 5 1st Example : Users = 10 Req. Space = 765 Mo Drives Number = 1 D: In that case, select the drive D: in the list and specify in the field “USE”: 765 then validate by “SET” 2nd Example : Users = 10 Req. Space = 765 Mb Drive Number = 2 D:, E: In that case, you can: - select the drive D: in the list and specify in the field “USE” : 200 and validate by “SET” - select the drive E: in the list and specify in the field “USE” : 565 and validate by “SET” Validate by “NEXT” all the options chosen. NOTE: WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU TO CHOOSE THE PATHS AND DISTRIBUTIONS SPECIFIED BY DEFAULT. The following window will be displayed: In this screen the program will offer you, according to the options previously chosen, different solutions for the distribution of the Base Files. These “Solutions” are calculated by the program according to the ORACLE rules for the distribution of the Base Files (For example: distribute the data and index Base Files on different disks). By default the Base Files are created in the directory %ORACLE HOME%\DATABASE Choose then one of the solutions proposed and validate by “NEXT” The following window will be displayed: 12 Iukcw7i_jboss.doc • 24/04/07 – Version 5 COSWIN Language : Choose the parameters language of COSWIN. (Very Important, for example to use a French version of COSWIN, choose ENGLISH) Validate by “ NEXT ”. The creation of the parameters file of the Instance, Base and Base Files (Tablespaces) begins then. It can take around 10 to 20 mn. After this creation, the following window will be displayed: • Database Alias : Name of the Alias for the instance. Let the value proposed by default • Password for System: Add the user’s password “SYSTEM”. By default the password proposed is: “MANAGER”. This password could be changed. Validate by “ NEXT ”. The following window will be displayed: 13 Iukcw7i_jboss.doc 24/04/07 – Version 5 Here, you must specify if you want to use the Tablespaces of the data and index or if you prefer to create new ones.
