Can I use the document camera as a
webcam for Skype (and other online
video chat programs)?
• Absolutely!
– All of our models support video
applications such as Skype, MSN,
Yahoo Messenger, QQ etc.
– As with all webcams, the doc cams
cannot support more than 1 video
application running simultaneously.
– When Aver+ software is using the
doc cam, it cannot be used as
webcam.
What if it isn’t working?

Disconnect any video device from the computer.
Disconnect all connections from the doc cam including the USB cable and power.
Restart the computer.
Reconnect the doc cam to the computer via USB.
Turn on the doc cam.
Open Skype.
When you start a new video, the doc cam should be recognized as the default
video device unless you have a built-in webcam.
If the doc cam is not recognized automatically, on Skype, go to:
Tools Options Video Settings Select your webcam as “USB
Camera for AVerVision Digital Presenter”.
It should be noted that this procedure will be similar for other video messaging
applications and services.
