very year this small, charming, French Riviera resort
becomes the capital of the world film for two spring
weeks. The most famous actors, directors, producers
and all the significant people come here. The Festival de
Cannes is an international, prestigious film festival, which
has been taking place since 1946. The symbol of the festival
is The Palme d’Or – an award every filmmaker dreams of.
Alongside with the Olympic Games and The Football World
Cup, The Festival de Cannes is the most recognizable media
event in the world.
The main promenade of the city is marked out by the La
Croisette boulevard along which world’s most expensive hotels are situated. Located merely 800 meters from the Festival Palace the famous InterContinental Carlton Palace is film
stars’ most willingly visited hotel. It received its first guests in
1912. Ever since its beginning it has been a leisure spot for
many aristocrats and art people. It often hosted royal families. The history of the hotel is inseparably connected with
the festival: the greatest stars live here and the jury debates
here. The Carlton Hotel “starred” itself in many famous films: Alfred Hichcock’s “La Main Au Collet”
or Claude Lelouch’s “La bonne année”.
Antonio Banderas, Brigitte Bardot, Bruce Willis, Catherine Deneuve, Claudia Cardinale, Clint Eastwood, David Lynch, Cary Grant, Gerard Depardieu,
Gina Lolobrigida, Grace Kelly, John Travolta, Michael
Douglas, Nick Nolte, Michael Jackson, Nicole Kidman, Sharon Stone, Nicolas Cage were here. The
seventh floor “belongs” to actors. Many apartments
were named after famous people (Grace Kelly, Uma
Thurman, Elton John, Sean Connery, etc.).
In 2011, during the Cannes Film Festival, an event
called “Luxury and Beauty” – the Unforgettable Night in Cannes is taking place. It is going to promote
modern and attractive lifestyle – with a smile.
18 May 2011 is a date worth remembering. A party
like this has never been organized before! During
the evening, on the Carlton Hotel beach, over 800
people are going to enjoy excellent music, delicious
cuisine and the best liquors. There is going to be a
fashion show of an extraordinary Polish designer Eva Minge and her latest collection, presented by
20 of the most beautiful Polish models. Moreover,
there will be a lingerie fashion show, photography
exhibition, actresses performances and a concert of
a top Polish band.
Not only the Carlton Hotel Chef is preparing a special
supper, but also one of the most famous Warsaw’s
cooks is going to take care of the unique Polish menu.
All of the attractions will be accompanied by Polish
national liquors and the best French wines.
Members of the Cannes Film Festival’s jury are going
to be invited to the “Luxury and Beauty” Gala in Cannes, with Robert De Niro, who will be the president
of the jury.
A few months before the gala, agents, managers and
press spokesmen will receive information concerning
the event from the Carlton Hotel.
Three days before the gala party announcements are
going to appear on the Cote d’Azur and 20 attractive
Polish hostesses are going to promote it for a couple
of days in Cannes. This will create a special and exclusive atmosphere about the event.
Undoubtedly, the event is going to be an important
and recognizable event in the history of the Festival
de Cannes. Famous and prestigious Polish magazines
will be asked to work with us. Gala coverage will be
broadcasted in many TV stations and Internet portals
are going to report it. Many of the world’s media are
going to be invited for the Gala, as well.
The organizer of the party is Mariusz Pujszo – an
actor, director, script-writer, together with his company “Kurka Wodna Productions”.
There will be the “Luxury and Beauty” Club created
especially for the guests. Kurka Wodna Productions
is renting a great villa near the Festival Palace (5 minutes on foot), where it will be possible to eat something delicious at any times or to have a rest in a
nice atmosphere with tasty drinks. You can start a
day with breakfast, have lunch and sumptuous dinner, prepared by specially invited chefs. Moreover,
there is a possibility to organise a private banquet
or dinner.
In the villa and its garden, there is a space for advertisements of your company. There will be screens
you can rent and broadcast your adverts and films.
Also, you can have your own GOBO placed within
the area.
You can also organise a banquet promoting a film,
a country or a city.
During the evenings, there will be great art performances, fashion shows, meetings with famous actors, great businessmen invited by the organiser of
the Gala. Moreover, we will give our guests a great opportunity to organise a special evening for the
pass holders. There will be a possibility to hold a business meeting. At everyone’s disposal, there will be
a sound equipment, the Internet, TV with DVD, etc.

The InterContinental Carlton Hotel together with Mariusz

evening Gala which is going to take place in May 18, 2011
on the private beach of the InterContinental Carlton Hotel in
Cannes. The evening is going to take place in the heart of the
Festival de Cannes as one of the greatest media events in the
world that receives the most famous international stars, the
world media and business world celebrities. InterContinental
Carlton Cannes wants this evening to promote Poland, its life
and inhabitants, but mostly its culture. The evening called
„Luxury and Beauty - Polish Night at Cannes” will not only
be the result of the competence of Mariusz Pujszo and Kurka
Wodna Productions but also of the reputation, prestige and
uniqueness of the luxurious InterContinental Carlton Hotel
quality service. Brilliance and glamour of the evening will be
increased by the fact that it is going to take place during the
International Film Festival with the presence of many stars,
business and show business celebrities and, naturally, in the
limelight. There is no doubt that this event will allow us to
present Polish culture in a fascinating and bewitching way in
the heart of the Festival de Cannes.

The most famous and esteemed in the world Polish fashion
designer. She is the creator of the luxurious brand EVA Minge,
which consists of sports collection, weekend wardrobe, business
clothes, cocktail clothing, eveningware and also haute couture.
Sine 1996 she has been showing her collections abroad, for
instance, in Berlin, Mediolan, Moskow, Vienna, Barcelona,
Madrid, Geneva, Paris, Rome, Montreal. She was awarded the
title of the Next Couture by the Italian Chamber of Fashion.
On Monday, July 5, in Regina 2 Places des Pyramide Hotel in
Paris, during the French Fashion Week of Haute Couture, Eva
Minge presented her collection for the fourth time. This time it
was the Fall/Winter 2010/2011 couture collection. The hairdos
were created by Beata Berendowicz and Sławek Kublin from
Berendowicz&Kublin Hairdressing Academy together with
Christophe Gaillet, creative director of the Great Hairdressing
of France.
The designer has created an image of an ethereally beautiful
woman in a sensual setting. Vivid forms are built with the use
of graphics and based on one color and many textures, which
often exclude each other. All of this gave a fairy-like image of
an ultra female silhouette in a slightly romantic edition.
In spite of the lightness and allure, the whole creation
corresponds to monumentally beautiful Femme Fatale.
The collection is completed by hairstyles designed jointly
by Eva Minge, Beata Berendowicz and Sławek Kublin
as well as Christophe Gaillet (known in fashion world
for his cooperation with Paco Rabbanne, Balanciago,
Nina Ricci or Lanvin, etc.). Azadeh Zoraghi, a French
star stylist, was responsible for the styling of the whole
fashion show.
After the latest fashion show of Eva Minge collection
French daily newspaper “Le Monde” wrote, that she is
the only attention worthy designer from Eastern Europe.
Italian Bible of fashion – Collezzioni - called Minge’s
collection “classically beautiful and timeless”. July’s
fashion show was also mentioned in British Wall Street
Journal and American LIFE.
The fashion show of designer’s latest collection will be
one of the biggest attractions prepared for the “Luxury
and Beauty” Gala in Cannes.

Mariusz Pujszo – a producer, actor, director and script writer. He is of
Polish and French nationality. He has been living in Paris for 20 years.
► In 1997 r. Mariusz Pujszo set up a company called Kurka Wodna
Productions, which makes and produces popular films (e.g. „Polish
kitsch project”)
► French Film „Comme des Rois” („Kings for a day” 1997), Mariusz
Pujszo wrote a script for it and also player a leading role in it. The
film received many international awards. It was screened all around
the world. The remake of the film was bought by Dreamworks, Stevena Spielberg’s company.
► Mariusz Pujszo was a co-writer and played one of the leading characters in the French film „Gunblast Vodka” (2000), distributed in many
