On July, 13th, 2012 the JSC “Scientific and Production
Corporation “Uralvagonzavod” and the “Bobmbardier”
company signed a package of documents on the
organization of production of cars for underground
railway and trams on the territory of Russia.
On July, 13th, 2012 the “Intel” Corporation, the Government
of the Sverdlovsk region and the managing company
of the technological cluster «Ural university complex»
signed an agreement on cooperation. The agreement is
aimed at developing the information technologies in
the Sverdlovsk region and integrating them in various
spheres of life.

COOPERATION WITH GERMANY
Major areas of coopearion:
construction (the cooperation of JSC «Sukholozhsktsement»
and the German concern «Dyckerhoff» resulted in the
decision to build a new production line of dry cement. On
August 6, 2010 the “fifth line” was officially open. This is a
huge investment projects in the Urals in the field of producing
building materials;
mechanical engineering (as a result of the business visit of the
delegation of the State of Saxony to Ekaterinburg in April 2012
the parties reached an agreement to create the Competence
Centre in the field of mechanical engineering on the
territory of the Sverdlovsk region;
railway construction (On June 6 – 9, 2012 business delegation of
the Ministry of Economics and technologies of Germany visited
the region, visit being devoted to the “Railway and transport
engineering”. A Russian-German railway forum took place on
June 7th, 2012);
power engineering (On July 11th, 2012 Ural production company
and the Saxon company «Sunfire GmbH» signed an
agreement on creating a joint venture producing power
installations on solid oxide fuel cells by the year 2013);
education and further training.

Joint ventures:
LLC «Komek mashinery» - joint Russian-Japanese

machinery in Sverdlovsk, Tyumen and other regions.
Together with LLC "Stankoproekt" it also sells machine
tools in the Russian market.
Ural machine building corporation «Pumori-SIZ» is the
exclusive distributor of the Japanese company “Okuma”
which distributes milling and turning machining centers to
the Russian market since 1998.
Joint projects:
The Ural enterprise JSC «Uraltrubprom» (the city of
Pervouralsk) in cooperation with «Mitsubishi Corporation»
implemented a joint project, therefore a modern production
line of electric-welded pipes was successfully delivered and
installed.

9. URAL PHARMACEUTICAL CLUSTER
The main working area of the Ural Pharmaceutical cluster deals with production of pharmaceutical and
medical products.
Non-profit organization «Ural pharmaceutical
cluster» fulfills the following activities:
- production and sale of genetically engineered human
insulin, infusion solutions, dialysis concentrates,
medical equipment, laboratory equipment, supplies,
medical glass products, detergents and disinfectants,
petrochemicals;
- installation, warranty service and maintenance of
equipment for hemodialysis;
- hemodialysis for patients with kidney failure;
- elaboration, development and introduction of new drugs;
- construction and modification of health facilities and
industrial buildings and structures.
The cluster unites 29 enterprises of
various profiles with the total
number of employees exceeding
1000.
