LORENZO TAZZIERI CONDUCTOR BIO GRA PHY www.lorenzotazzieri.com | contact@lorenzotazzieri.com | +39. 340. 92 22 202 Born in Genoa in November 1985, Lorenzo Tazzieri began to study violin when he was only six years old. Inspired and motivated by his passion for music, he continued his education at the Conservatory Niccolò Paganini where he studied violin and then, piano, his main instrument, under the guidance of Maestro G. Carlascio 2OO2 From 2002-2006, he took the course of piano improvement in Russian repertoire with Elena Nathanson, teacher of the Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. He deepened the study of chamber music with Maestro Massimiliano Damerini one of the most distinguished performers on the international scene of contemporary and chamber music. 2OO3 In 2003, at the age of 18, Mr. Tazzieri founded the Cultural Association Belvedere and became the principal conductor. 2OO5 Since 2005, Tazzieri’s orchestra and choir began to succeed in the national and international festival circuit with a repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary. 2OO7 Under the guidance of Maestro Roberto Tolomelli, Mr. Tazzieri began his conducting studies, and from 2007 assumed the role of his assistant, collaborating with Tolomelli to stage numerous concerts, works and ballet. These collaborations include: Nabucco in the Theater Wielki in Warsaw, Aida in the summer season of the Giardino di Boboli in Florence, Norma in the Theater Campoamor of Oviedo, Bellisario in the Theater Donizetti in Bergamo, Cinderella in the Theater Massimo of Palermo, Raymonda in the Opera House in Rome, Don Carlos in the Theater Wielki of Poznan, Madam Butterfly for the Summer lyric Season in Lecce and Cinderella for the season organized by the Luglio Musicale Trapanese. 2OO9 In January 2009 Mr. Tazzieri was admitted to the musical academy in Pescara for the Corsi di Alto Perfezionamento in Direzione d’Orchestra, conducted by the Maestro Donato Renzetti and Gilberto Serembe with whom he deepened the study of the symphonic repertoire, both Beethovenian and romantic. 2O1O In March 2010, he made his opera debut with Werther, at the Theater Wielki in Poznan. Shortly after, he conducted Tosca at the Theater Belloni in Italy. In this same year, he closed the II° “Festival Giglio è Lirica” with Rigoletto and conducted the Symphonic Orchestra of Chiavari with the fifteen-year-old protégé, Ukrainian violinist, Masha Diatchenko as special guest. Thanks to the successes of both Tosca and Rigoletto in the Theater Belloni, the foundation Mike Bongiorno dedicated a special programme to Mr. Tazzieri called “Buon lavoro” on SKY UNO. 2O11 In 2011, Maestro Tazzieri conducted national and international Philharmonics at the behest of the Italian Institute for Culture and the Italian Foreign Office to mark the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy. His work received important recognition from the critics and audience. Tazzieri performed Cavalleria Rusticana in Romania which has brought him a long lasting artistic connection with the Filarmonica de Stat Arad to be regularly invited as Guest Conductor. In Central America, he conducted lyric gala and symphonic concerts in Guatemala with the Orquesta Municipal de Ciudad de Guatemala at the Nacional Miguel Angel Asturias theater and in Nicaragua he conducted the Camerata Bach in the National Theater Ruben Dario of Managua. In South America, he performed concerts with the Orquesta Sinfonica de Venezuela in the Theater Cachao for the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the Italian institute of Culture of Caracas and has also performed with the Orchestra de Aragua in the center of Casa Italia Maracay. In Lima, he conducted the Orquesta and Coro Nacional de Perù performing a Verdi’s Gala for the bicentennial of the composer in the National Museum. He also took care of the formation and preparation of concerts with the Orquesta Juvenil de Lima. 2O12 In 2012, Mr. Tazzieri conducted Norma, in Genoa. In addition, he performed Rigoletto in the Theater Belloni and later, with the same opera, he inaugurated the first lyric season of the Theater Melotti of Rovereto. After the extraordinary success achieved, he was invited to perform Attila on the occasion of Verdi’s bicentennial. Mr. Tazzieri was called again to conduct in Peru for the opening of the lyric Season “Romanza” with Don Giovanni in the Teatro Municipal of Lima. In Italy was invited to the III° “Festival Giglio è Lirica” to conduct Norma; in Romania he performed Pagliacci with the Filarmonica de Stat Arad on the occasion of the inauguration of the “Festivalul toamna mizicala aradeana”. 2O13 In 2013, Mr. Tazzieri founded the Association Movimento Allegro con Fuoco and started the project Operàpolis becoming the Principal Conductor. In a very short time he created the opportunity for the birth of three juvenile structures: Orchestra, Choir and Lyric Company Simon Boccanegra. This project was aimed to produce concerts side by side in numerous formative activities focused on the raising of Ensembles music in the scholastic institutes. It created a cultural pole devoted to the formation of orchestras and children choirs. Obtaining the collaboration of extraordinary musicians of the caliber of Bruno Canino, Tazzieri’s Association achieved in a few months excellent results such as a new production of Rigoletto in the Theater Gustavo Modena in Genoa. In 2013 Mr. Tazzieri conducted numerous concerts. He collaborated with the Indian musicians Avaneendra Sheolikar and Sandesh Popatkar at the creation of “L’amor che move le alte stelle”; a CD with new compositions of fusion between the Indian traditional music and the classical symphonic music. 2O14 In 2014, acclaimed by audience and critics, he debuted at the Toyota City Concert Hall in Japan with La Traviata. Then in September he was invited again, this time for L’Elisir d’Amore. In July he conducted The XXVI edition of the traditional open-air concert “Concerto in Altura” in Bardonecchia (Torino). This is an event that has wowed an audience of over 4000 people. In August , conducted Il Trovatore for the Summer Season “Ritorno all’Opera”. In October, with great success among the public and critics, he conducted Madama Butterfly at the Gran Teatro Nacional in Lima. 2O15 In 2015 with ocassion of the reopening of the historic Teatro Zandonai at Rovereto he was invited to the opening opera season to conduct Il Barbiere di Siviglia. He made his debut at the Teatro Ariston in San Remo with Tosca and returns to the podium of the Gran Teatro Nacional in Lima for a new production of Madama Butterfly. Within the next national and international commitments include: Tosca at the Teatro Zandonai Rovereto, Lyric Symphonic Concert at Boulevar of Amman (Jordan), Pagliacci/Aida de la Bohemia at the Teatro Municipal of Lima (Peru), Turandot at Festival Opera Miniatyura of Kamyanets-Podilskiy (Ukraine) and at The Tones on the Stones Festival (Verbania - Italy), La Bohème at the Toyota City Concert Hall (Toyota- Japan) and at the Sendai Concert Hall (Sendai - Japan), Symphonic Concert with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Cusco (Cusco - Peru), Symphonic Concert with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Arequipa, Cavalleria Rusticana at the Teatro de Ribeirão Preto (São Paulo - Brazil), Lyric Symphonic Concert at the Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall (Yokohama - Japan), Symphonic Concert with NITEC Orchestra of Nagoya (Japan).
