Chatham Hill Winery is vastly experienced in creating customized events and is the only winery in the area where you can hold
your private event in the midst of a fully operating winery…the aromas, the oak barrels, knowledgeable staff at your service all
with the goal to set your event apart from all others. Be it simply the rental of the venue to elegant and extraordinary; small and
intimate or large scale; Chatham Hill can create events complete with wine and food pairings, private wine tastings and winery
tours and barrel samplings with the Winemaker. The Winery offers several Team Building Programs that are fun and
informative programs that offer new teams or existing teams a distinctive way to experience high functioning team work.
Centrally located to all areas of the Triangle, Chatham Hill Winery has plenty of free parking, impeccable service and a long list of
award-winning European style wines. The Winery can accommodate up to 156 guests. Offsite events can accommodate any
number. Following example programs are of 1 to 3 hour in length that can be tailored for your group and hosted at the winery or

Enjoy a brief video on the history and production of North Carolina Wines, followed by a sampling of Chatham
Hill Wines paired with carefully selected hors D’Oeuvres or a fully prepared meal at table side. Presented by the
Winemaker, you may pick his scientific mind while enjoying some delicious food and wine before dinner. Add a
Blind Wine Tasting to this event where guests will taste Chatham Hill wines and wines from around the world.

This fun and sassy ‘Wine 101’ program introduces the ladies to the history of wine, glassware, the secrets of food

Winemaker for the Day: The Art & Science of Blending Wine
Join Chatham Hill’s Winemaker for an afternoon or evening of great discovery and
entertainment by learning the time honored tradition of wine blending. You will blend,
bottle, and label your very own wine to take home and share. Consider adding a group
photo or company logo to your wine bottle label. Great Team Building Event.
Survival Guide for the Wine Amateur
Learn the “do’s” and “don’ts” of wine selection in mixed company. This program arms the business professional
with the knowledge needed to surely impress clients or colleagues. Also good for those wanting to augment

Tasting Packages
Daytime Wine Tasting, Winery Tour & Lunch (Mon-Fri):
Available for 10 to 50 guests during open hours (11-5 pm).
You will be seated at tables in the Winery’s Tasting Room Art Gallery where a Chatham Hill Wine Educator will
share tips on wine tasting and a sample representation of Chatham Hill wines will be tasted. Then enjoy an
informative and interesting tour of the Chatham Hill Winery, where the magic of turning grapes into award
winning wines occur. Included is a souvenir Chatham Hill Winery wine glass.
Following your Wine Tasting and Winery Tour, enjoy a Signature Bagged Lunch.

Private Wine & Cheese Cocktail (Mon-Thurs):
Available for 30 to 125 guests and offered from 5:30-7:00 or 6:30-8:00p.
Attendees will have exclusive use of the entire winery which includes the Tasting Room Art Gallery
and the intimate Winemaker’s Barrel Room. Informal wine tastings will be conducted at the Tasting
Bar throughout evening as Chatham Hill Wine Educators share tips on wine tasting and a sample
representation of Chatham Hill Wines will be tasted. A Winery Tour will be offered. Included is a
souvenir Chatham Hill Winery wine glass. A European and/or Local Cheese Display will include a

|| How many guests can the Winery accommodate?
Much depends upon the set-up required for your event. Generally speaking the following applies: 125 Reception Style; 80
Seated at Tables; 70 Seated at Tables with a Dance Floor. We often utilize the Winemaker’s Barrel Room as an area for
Buffets and Food Stations which adds a whole other dimension to the event.
|| What kind of events can the winey hold? The winery has two distinct spaces:

The Winemaker’s Barrel Room which is a unique area surround by oak wine barrels that seats 25 Conference
Room style; 35 Class Room style; or can be utilized in conjunction with the Tasting Room space for buffet service
and guest seating. This space is perfect for meetings and small, intimate lunches and dinners. AV equipment is
available at additional fees.
The Tasting Room and Art Gallery is perfect for larger events and can be configured in various set ups depending
upon the event. Used for holiday parties, client events, Lunch and Learns, this area has a trendy wine bar
atmosphere complete with a lovely local artist gallery.
In addition to the space rental, Chatham Hill Winery can add to your unique event through specially designed
Team Building programs, wine tastings, Wine & Food Pairings, Winemaker’s Dinners and Wine Education
programs as well as Murder Mysteries and Casino nights.
|| Do you have on-site catering?
We do not have catering on site. The Winery works with a number of highly reputable preferred caterers that are committed
to the same high quality standards as the Winery. On special request, Chatham Hill may consider working with a fully
licensed, full service caterer to service your food and beverage needs outside of this list. Inquire if this is a concern.
|| At what times can I hold my event?
Please note that the Tasting Room is open to the public for wine tastings during some of the day time hours, and depending
upon your event needs, can be totally private or semi-private. Hours are as follows:
Monday through Friday: 8 am to 11 pm
Saturday: 8 am to 12 pm
Sunday: 8 am to 7 pm
|| Do I have to rent tables, chairs, and linens for my event?
Included in the rental are the Winery’s tables and chairs, consisting of 11, 36”
by 36” square tables that seat 4 guests each. We can also provide a several 8’
and 6’ tables for food set up. Our seating capacities exceed our table
inventory. If additional tables and chairs, specialty linens, florals and
decorations are required, our catering partners will provide these items. The
beauty of an event at Chatham Hill Winery is the many options available for set
up of your particular event. Your imagination and requirements can easily be
accommodated.
|| Can I offer my guests a full wine tasting?
Of course! This is what sets the Winery apart! Chatham Hill Wine Educators have a wealth of knowledge in regards to our
wines and the process of winemaking here at Chatham Hill. The wine tasting includes a tour of the winery as well as guest
will take home their CHW Souvenir Wine Glass. Inquire about involving Chatham Hill’s Winemaker and Owner, Marek
Wojciechowski, Ph.D., for your event.

|| What do I need to do to reserve my date?
After sharing your event requirements, we will make recommendations and suggestions to assist you with your event
planning here at Chatham Hill Winery. Once the details are completed, a detailed Proposal will be generated and sent for
your review and revision, if necessary. Once all terms are agreed to a Contract with all the details of the event will require
signature along with a 50% deposit to reserve the event. A credit card authorization form is also required to be kept on file.
|| What does it cost to hold an event at Chatham Hill Winery?
It is our experience that every event is different, requiring specific services unique to that event. As a result we have general
guidelines for pricing that depend on the day of the week, time of the event, length of event, number of guests, staffing
required, food and wine programming and the area of the winery being utilized, e.g. just the Winemaker’s Barrel Room, just
the Tasting Room Art Gallery or both. The following are examples of space only fees for three hours use and are subject to
change based upon individual event needs:
Private Evening Events:

The above fees do not include staffing charges, wine, food or service staff.

North Carolina Challenges the World: Are We Holding Our Own
Blind Wine Tasting presented by Owners, Jill Winker and Marek Wojciechowski, Winemaker.
During this fun program guests will be served two of the same varietals, e.g. Chardonnay, Merlot,
Cabernet Sauvignon, in which they will be ‘challenged’ to determine which wine is the Chatham Hill
Wine and which is the same varietal from another part of the world. Wines from around the world
will include similar winemaking style and price point as the Chatham Hill Wines.
Split into teams, members will learn about the quality, characteristics and flavors of each of the wines
through a presentation and then be directed to collaboratively arrive at consensus determining which
wine is which. This will be accomplished through viewing, smelling and tasting of the wines.
This experiential and interactive introduction to the Wines of North Carolina and wines in general as
well as a fun way of team building and will take place in the Winery Tasting Room Art Gallery.
6:30-7:30pm
Winemaker’s Dinner served in the Winemaker’s Barrel Room.
An intimate space nestled within the actual winery, where the tables will be exquisitely dressed with
a beautiful table setting including china, crystal wine glasses, lovely table linens, florals, and candles.
Guests will dine among the French and American Oak Barrels. A superb dinner will be served along
with Chatham Hill Wines specially selected to pair with the menu. The Winemaker and Sommelier
will be present to speak to wine and food pairings.
7:30-8:00pm
Evening concludes with a special Barrel Sampling with the Winemaker
and a selection of locally made chocolates.

for your event here at Chatham Hill Winery. We aim to give you, our client, plenty of creative room and flexibility
in your planning ranging in all styles and budgets.
After a conversation in which you explain your needs, expected outcomes and budget for your event, our Event Manager will
suggest vendors that can best meet your needs. Your event is extremely important to us and we know that finding the best
partners in which to carry out the event is the difference between a good and a great event. Through our long standing
relationships with our vendor partners you may be assured of an excellent event. We will hand you off to trusting hands OR you
may opt to leave it all to us – your choice!

Caterers|From local cheese, crackers and fruit all the way to sophisticated, plated and served
at tableside Wine Dinners paired with incredible foods and wines. These events may include a
private conversation, tasting in the winery or winery tour with Chatham Hill’s Winemaker, Marek
Wojciechowski.
Party Rentals|Looking to give the room a “pop?” We work with the finest rental companies that can provide additional
tables, exquisite linens, florals, china and room and table florals or decorations. Want the room set up for a Lunch and Learn? We
can arrange for classroom or theatre style set up arranged to your particular event needs,
Photographers, Videographer and Audio Visual Equipment |Meetings during the day or evening, we
have basic AV equipment but have available to us, through our AV supplier, whatever your heart desires. You can even have your
event photographed or videoed.
Florists|Most of our caterers are skilled and equipped to assist with your decorative needs.
Nonetheless, we can bring in the
most lovely florals and decorations you can imagine.
DJs and Musicians | How about dancing or just having background music for your event?

Wedding, Meeting & Event Planners – Team Building Activities| Unfamiliar with the
area, don’t have time for all the details, is time an issue, or do you simply not know where to begin? Our Event Planners are
available to assist with the myriad of details over and above those that may prevail for a small and simple event. If you require
more than Chatham Hill can provide, we have a cadre of excellent planners ready to assist. We can arrange a team building or
wine learning event right here at the winery.
